- Yes, I have triple star rankings in all 30 cups. Very hard to do...
Well, it took me a while to get back to playing this game, and I'm surprised I was able to get a triple star ranking,even with all the mistakes I made.
The tracks in this cup are:
Lakeside Park
Broken Pier
Bowser Castle 4
Rainbow Road - เกม

Did you notice that every vol of Bowser's Castle stands for a section of the latter? It looks like:
Volume 1: Gauntlet
Volume 2: Atrium
Volume 3: Terrace
Volume 4: Throne Room
Surprising, ain't it?!?
It looks better like:
Volume 1:Gauntlet
Volume 2:Throne Room
Volume 3:Terrace
Volume 4:the nucleus
Once you get Gold Cups for every cup (I think), you unlock the "Afternoon" theme for the title. Once you get Triple Star rankings for all of the normal Cups in each engine class, you unlock this "Nighttime" theme.

Hell yes. I'd go as far to say that Super Circuit is the hardest Mario Kart. I did like how Super Circuit takes more skill than, say, Mario Kart Wii.

From what I heard I'd never play this game seriously or try to unlock everything for as much it deserves it. The gameboy player was awesome 😎

ShadowMario3, you are a DAMN good player. I managed to get three star ranks on all 30 cups a while ago, but it isn't easy. Three starring the normal cups isn't too bad, as long as you know what you're doing. Three starring the extra cups is very hard, however.
I really hope this comes to the Wii u's Virtual console
This, my friends, was my very first GBA game I ever owned. The only thing I never could understand was why did getting hit with a shell make you spin out instead of tumble? :\
Because if I can beat it in 150cc, that means I can beat it in 50 and 100cc.

Don't you worried, I'm like every single Mario Kart series especially early Mario Kart era from Super Mario Kart to Mario Kart Super Circuit.
This was my favorite GBA games and they have good music there especially Rainbow Road theme.
My first Mario kart was Super Mario Kart and Mario kart 64 during 1999/2000 when I got SNES and N64
What I want to know is, why have a handful of these tracks not been recreated yet? You don’t even have to be a fan of the game to see Nintendo’s biased hate towards it.
Because so many apply modern Mario kart know-how to this game, end up failing and thus declare it garbage. They end up declaring this fast, responsive and satisfying game as garbage because it isn't what they expected and gamers hate learning new things. But like with all thing, people will dismiss and belittle what they don't care about.

I don't understand it, either. Getting star ranks on Super Circuit can be VERY difficult. Ironically, getting three stars on the normal cups isn't too hard, but getting three stars on the extra cups is very hard. You have to be damn near flawless to get three star ranks on the extra cups.

As you can see, I went past that by getting the nighttime start up screen. You need to get a triple star ranking in each cup (not the Extras) in each engine class.
Damn you're a BEAST!. I got 1st in all cups (all 10) in all classes. The best I can do are Three Stars to C rankings. Are rankings determined by: Amount of Coins you get, rankings in laps, Overall Time lead between you & the 2nd place character?.

I was a pro at this game. I played it more than any other for my gba. It is my personal favorite Mario Kart to this day.

I always hated it when i'm in the lead and one person is right behind me chasing me around the track and if i mess up i lose my 3 star chance

It's ridiculously hard. The main thing is, the better time and more coins you have, the higher chance you'll have getting that rank. I doubt I'll bother showing how to get the triple star ranks on the SNES cups.

2 years ago... Yeah, gba mario circuit, cheese land and ribbon road were put in Mario kart 8.
No one knows exactly for sure, especially for the Extra Cups. All I can say is have fast times, always be first in each lap, and use items very sparingly.
Man, I haven't seen that Gamecube opening screen in forever...

Nintendo released a peripheral for the Gamecube called the Game Boy Player. It was an attachment for the Gamecube that let you play GB, GBC, and GBA games on it.
It's mainly how fast a time you get. Coins help in terms of making you faster. Always use items and hope for Mushrooms. Also, make sure you are always first in every lap.
Will you do the other cups of Super Circuit (including the retro cups) ?

All I remember is you have to be first every lap, have a fast time, and collect a lot of coins. You can use items, like I do here, but don't use too many. And it's safe to get hit once or twice.
It's ridiculously hard to get triple star ranking for the Extra Cups though. Just too crazy.

I really admire your skills! Getting triple star rankings is an extremely difficult feat indeed! But can you tell me how exactly you can achieve such rankings? I've searched the web for hours and I've never seen any accurate guide.
All the requirements I've seen stated in guides are way off base. I can tell that just by looking at your video and testing the ones I can achieve myself. When I thought I finally found a good guide, I got one star instead of a supposedly guaranteed two.
Nope, that site is wrong. It's been confirmed there is no Waluigi or Space Cup in the game by those who ripped through (debugged) the game, and those who got everything (like me).
And I got way past getting Gold Trophies in each Cup in Each Engine Class, and no Waluigi here.

Nintendo released a Game Boy Player for the Gamecube. That's how you play Game Boy Advance games on the Gamecube.

Nintendo released the Game Boy Player, a peripheral for the Gamecube that pretty much turned it into a Game Boy Advance. It lets you play Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance games on it.

@mariokartcheats11 on the course select menu there should be an text sprite that says push L/R but u have to unlock special cup and do all the cups again with A rank+ to get the extra cups

it doesn't matter, you still got triple star, but in broken pier there's a whole bunch of invisible bridges.....they might skip some coins though. eh. you're freaking amazing-just wondering, my gba won't let me do time trials from the special cup, how do i unlock that?

Some people think this is the worst Mario Kart game in the series, I disagree, it was the first ever Mario Kart game I played ever and I loved playing this game, yeah of course it had its flaws like the controls felt over-sensitive but once you get used to them its really good fun, I'd rate it 8/10.

You have to focus on both. More coins are always better, but a faster time is much more important.
I know you can change the outer edge trim thing on the Game Boy player to different colors, but I've never seen the silver that looks like an actual GBA. Mine doesn't have that as an option I don't think.

Shadow, I don't really play this anymore, but how on Earth do you get 3 stars in the SNES Cups? The Super Circuit cups are no problem, but I can't get three stars in the SNES cups, even when I race almost perfect.

There is no reward for getting the Triple Star Ranking in all 30 cups. And yes, it is very hard to get Triple Star Rankings in the Extra Cups.

How did you get a 3-Star ranking? I've tried driving my fastest, getting as many coins as possible, playing Time Trails with speedy lap times, using a gazillion items, staying on the road, not getting hit or falling off, etc. But the best I've gotten is 2 Stars. Help…

150cc Very Fast!
Yeah, you can get away with some minor things. The main thing you really need is fast times, so holding a banana peel or shell behind you so you won't get hit by a red shell is better than not using the item. It's much harder to get the triple star rank in the Extra cups though.

Yeah. To play Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance game on the Gamecube, you need the Game Boy Player.

when you beat all the CC's with each cup in gold rank you unlock a red start up screen and the extra special cups, you should try it its really fun i already did it.

Mario Kart DS and Wii made it much easier to get Triple Star rankings. Maybe too easy...
Probably due to GBA limitations not allowing a tumble animation be made, or make it very like Super Mario Kart's design.
Super Circuit is as bad as the other Mario Kart in terms of frustration, and is the worst when you are trying to get a triple star ranking in every cup in every engine class. It's not that hard to get it in the normal cups, but you have to be crazy precise to get it in the extra cups.
I used a DVD recorder.
