That was really great! There is still so much of the old beauty of the city hiding. Good for you that you are finding it and making it shine again.

I had a blast restoring it man!!!!! I will be doing some maintenance on it soon since it's been over two years and some rust is sneaking through.

I have one of those in front of my parents house. It's been there for almost 50 years and I'm just starting to restore it. I plan on using your color scheme! It's beautiful! Thank you!!!

Awesome box much nicer than a gamewell security pedestal. Nice job on the box and video.

Believe me, I had such a great time restoring this piece. Always nice to find some good old L.A. history!

@eriegamewell It was a great project and the fact it is a "hard to find piece" made it even more fun!

I would like to see a "Forgotten L.A." on the work done by my Grandfather, Ewart D Williams of Williams and Trainor, who built many of the Arroyo Stone structures in the older areas of L.A., areas such as Highland Park, South Pasadena, Pasadena and Glendale. As the construction team of Williams and Trainor, he built many houses around the area with the beautiful rock fire places. He also was a cement contractor on City Hall, Hoover Damn and Glen Canyon Damn. He Rocked!!

@HollywoodGraham It's was such a fun project to work on. I am looking forward to the next project though I have to figure out what that exactly will be!

I really thought long and hard about this restore and I elected to do it because, as it was, it looked like a Street Light time switch which it wasn't. had it been, I probably would have left it alone and just let it be as I got it.
