U should overthink your beats out of artist perspective. The jazz strings in the hook doing way to much and taking all the freedom from the artist away to do an Melodie on that. And this is supposed to rnb type so yeah I wished this beat without to much strings taking all the creativity away. Still good quality beat no hate just something me and my music people thinking about that. So all in all this sound more like an finished electric project then an actual instrumental where u can be creative on instead of just getting forced by the new jazz strings to sing that exact melody. Yeah it sounds good but do not forget in first place this beat is supposed to be used from an artist if I dont missunderstand

If someone put a main melody in his instrumental u only have have 2 options: follow the settled melody or search out for harmony notes. If u have a beat without main melody u can use more notes just in the same key. But more notes playing at same time reduces the possibility u can choose of cause the main melody already take some space for the key range. I can't explain it that well in English but it should be obvious. The proove is. In part where u domt have the main melody playing u can create a owm melody free from the main melody in the hook but until the hook comes in u maybe notice that u need to switch of cause the melody cause it ain't fitting the same as it did in the part. And that is cause of the main melody in the hook. It reduces your options to choose. So please don't talk if know nothing thank u
