Just like blues gave black people an emotional outlet to address the problems of the time. Rap and hip-hop has given a voice to perspectives I might otherwise have never heard in my own social circles.
Black people have profoundly shaped modern music. Blues, Gospel, Country, Rock & Roll, R&B, Reggae, Pop, Hip Hop, Jazz, Techno, House etc. Kinda crazy to think about.
There are still perspectives left unknown to the rest of the world. Perspectives of African countries brought to light by afro- beat and afro -fusion. Colours is doing a great job with what it's begun. But it can't begin till BURNA BOY is put on that platform.
