The people who commented that the ones around the lips aren't fully cleaned or extracted, clearly have never had blackheads nor acne on that area. I cried trying to pop my own blackheads there. Thuy is gauging the pain that the client is experiencing, and a second squeeze might make that guy burst into tears!

For the longest time I did not believe how painful it is to extract a blackhead from around your lips until I had the chance to extract a very tiny blackhead on myself. Left me shaking and crying fr. This guy is a superstar!

For those of you, that do not realize it, these videos are only a portion of the appointment. Some of her appointments are way over two hours. Again you’re only seeing a portion so realize even if you think she’s not going go back to the area she does. Also, she will leave areas for a while because some individuals nerve areas are closer to the surface so it is more painful for the patient.
Thank you for saying this there’s some good dermatologist that point this out and also say that just because you don’t see everything squeezed out that they’ve done a good job and that they can see that it’s clean. More squeezing or trying to get something out that isn’t there. It’s just more traumatizing and may push infections further into the skin layers.

@meramera8590 I mean fully clearing out the spots would be no less painful to what she is already doing, it's just incredibly suspicious that she leave them half done, i think it's just to get customers to return personally, if she did care about their pain and discomfort then she'd be making sure everyone spot is fully empty so it doesn't return

noticing some insensitive comments from people about the pain tolerance of this client. acne extractions around the mouth are very painful, even doing my own at home hurt like crazy and i know how to handle pain. these are also very deep plugs that aren't coming out super easily in a lot of spots which means she has to squeeze multiple times or much harder to get then out which means more pain for the client. people also handle pain very differently and there's nothing wrong with that

I guess I’m not watching the same video that all these other commenters are because I’ve seen quite a few extractions that were not complete! Sometimes the esthetician would squeeze the bump one time and rake off the contents that popped up; unfortunately, you could still see some content in the pore. Why can’t they learn to squeeze more than once and sometimes another extra time to remove everything?!
FINALLY! An honest comment! I’m over everyone in these videos kissing Thuys ass w the over the top compliments. 1; they don’t clean the pores out 2; they never even get to the center piece of their videos, the biggest ones were all looking at.

Apparently you really only need to get the plug out and the topical medication does the rest.
She misses a ton of visible blackheads and she never cleans them out completely leaving the sac so they'll just fill right back up 🤷🏻♀️
She also doesn't record the whole treatment. These are multi hour treatment sessions and she goes back and redoes them. Some areas are more sensitive so she leaves them to cool down before going back.

Right? I just feel bad when they doesn't pop easily. I never really had any blackheads or bad acne in general so I didn't get them around the lips often but unless it was a well developed whitehead it hurt. Also it absolutely kills how she skipped so much shit around the lips

Yes you are clearing it but you forget something you don't completely empty some acne sacs it will be worse the next day and it will all turn into inflamed acne

All I can say is: Aaaagggghhhhh !! SO much is left in the pores especially around the mouth. But I do enjoy lip and nose extraction s.
Some videos are better than others but the one thing that rings tru with all regardless of the spa is not getting it out of the pores and totally missing blackheads that are right there where u are squeezing. The ones that are red and scabby and just so inflamed I totally understand moving to another area because they hurt and gives clients a few minutes to catch their breath
But if I was paying then I want it all out. If not then it's just gonna be right back with the pore being white and ready to pop again. Just curious about why that seems to be the norm. It just seems to defeat the purpose

Did u kno that the blackheads around lips can be from lip gloss .. chap stick.. etc . Sometimes if u change to a diff kind cud help .. was w my mother one day at her spa treatment and that's what the anestisionist (sp) told us .. I was like 😲🤯😂😂.. but who knows if it's true or not you know LOL

What you are seeing is a snippet of a 30 step procedure. Before the session is completed the client will have a complete facial which will remove any loosened debris. Some spas even use a vacuum like device on the face to remove any loosened debris before the facial.

@DiMellor2646 different " parts" have more than one procedure. An example: cleansing can include vacuuming the skin, exfoliate, steaming, facial massage, astringent and moisturizer.

My son had one pimple on his face and popped it. Ended up with reading cellulitis and a week in the hospital. He was at the hospital where I worked as ER Nursing Supervisor so my staff hand picked the very best doctors. My husband myself, my Sis and BIL were on Alaskan cruise. My daughter knew if she called I would swim home. Twice a day my staff and doctors would assess the situation and decide if they needed to call me. He continued to improve and when w got home he had just been released from hospital. My daughter was right. Our staff was like family and I knew they would get the very best docs and treat my son like he was my own.
There are areas on the face that share blood flow to other vital areas so you have to be aware when you are squeezing certain certain places. When you see Dermatologists make sure the pore is empty . There is a reason they do this even on blackheads.
The amount of cringe for every blackheads deliberately skipped is enormous

Is it possible to show us how the face look after the whole cleaning up session? How do you soothe the skin after all the squeezing and poking because apparently there're some wounds and swollen spots? I believe you do apply something like lotion or facial mask to cool it off. Can you show the whole process? So curious about that.
She has a good website that shows their whole process, or, at least, picture and explanations. There’s also a translation option.
On average, how long before the client has to come back becaue their skin got full of white and balck heads again?

This technition needs to empty the pore completely before moving on.
The pore seals again( trapping possible infection inside) after being manipulated, not easily found again when they go back over an area.

Residue is fine. As long as the “plug” blocking the pore is gone, it will heal. Only need that plug clear for topical medication to get in & do its job. Squeezing too hard to get out every microscopic bit does not improve the skin but rather irritates it and causes more inflammation… resulting in more acne. It also causes unnecessary pain for the client. Keep in mind there is a human attached to those pimples.

This tech does the absolute minimum for this patient. He/she leaves much of the contents in the pore, guaranteeing that the blackhead/whitehead will fill up again. It's almost as if they do it on purpose to make sure the customer comes back when it does. Pitiful.
Since you don’t know whether the esthetician is male or female means you’re making harsh judgments and accusations about someone you don’t know or watch.
Maybe if you only care about watching the pops this job is okay with you but there are many of us who realize there is a person with a skin problem that causes them to have low self esteem every day. When you don’t clean out the pore leaving visible content down in the pore they will not only come back but will possibly come back bigger which increases the chance of scarring. I like watching pops where they do the squeeze the acne from underneath and watch the content still inside come out. I find that more satisfying then just trying to pull out the top with content visibly sticking out of the pore.

There is no one on earth that can extract acne that doesn't require someone to come back. Extractions are not a one-and-done procedure.
Totally emptying the pore is not as important as you think. Especially at this stage. Simply squeezing out the majority of the pimple is sufficient at this point. Keep in mind that extractions alone won't cure acne; it's a process that requires lifestyle changes, medication, and extractions over a few months. Squeezing the face can be painful. If leftover debris persists despite medication, the next extraction session will take care of it. However, partially emptying the pore and exposing it to air and topical treatment is still beneficial. Don't expect any miraculous results from completely emptying the pore, as the sebaceous gland will continue producing sebum regardless.
