    Hello, while assembling, do we have to apply blower or we just have to place the back plate? Please help me with this doubt.

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You would need to apply new adhesive and then apply the back plate (after removing the old adhesive strip). You can watch this video I have on adhesive installation
      th-cam.com/video/T4iiPUIM7-Y/w-d-xo.html . Also most replacement back plates or battery doors come with the new adhesive pre installed already on it, if not you can check on mobiledefenders.com for original pre cut adhesive if they have it if not you will need to cut down to size your own adhesive strips.

    1:53 - what are these coaxial cables called exactly?
    The white cable is slightly damaged (isolation) and I needed to isolate it by myself. I think about replacing it in the future but I just can't find the name of them (and where exactly I could buy them).
    I mean, the closest I found was "mini coax" MHF4 - but I really don't know if that would really be exactly the one used in the phone.
    Edit: I just recognize that it is not damaged - in your disassembly guide it is not isolated at the same place. Can you explain why it isn't?

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm not sure what you mean by its not isolated in place. But its called a Coaxial cable and they aren't easy to find. You can try searching for smartphone coaxial cable. You usually will have to find one from another smartphone that's similar in length to use if you damage your's since they don't usually sell them.

    Could the reason why it has so many cooling components in different areas is to help with the powerful processor or to help when using the 65 watt fast charger?

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      To draw heat away both from the processor as well as the battery. A large portion of the vapor chamber is underneath the battery as well as the graphite film the goes over the top of the battery, so I would assume they planned for it to generate a good amount of heat.

      As far as I can tell, you will need a new frame, as the button is integrated tightly. If you can't recycle the frame, you will also most likely need a new speaker assembly (top one, not the bottom one), as the glue sticking to the frame is stronger than the glue holding the speaker itself together. Some brute force is also required to pry the vibration motor out.
      If you have to swap the frame, you will also have to remove the display on the rear side of the frame, and that one is actually tricky as there is a really thing but brittle plastic frame around the display which is prone to breaking even if heated up. Don't try to remove the display until after you have removed the bottom PCB, as the cable is really short and will get stuck on the red rubber piece.

    • @PBKreviews

      You would need to remove the back plate and the screws on top cover as well as the top plastic cover to gain access to disconnecting the battery cable. At that point you would be able to replace the battery, you wouldn't have to take anything else apart.

    Hy! I fell down my phone, and the screen stopped a moment, cannot notice any touch and after the phone looks turn off, because i cannot call the phone, cannot work for charging, not vibrate, not turn on, do not do anything. Also not works for USB connection. The service says after checking the screen should be replaced. Is it possible the system(the phone) totally looks dead, when just the screen died? If i disassembly the phone and disconnect the screen connector cable, should it not start the system also? How can i look if it is really the screen died just? Thanks a lot.

      Not sure why the one that person had exploded but could be many things. Could have been from a strong fall or have gotten stabbed etc. Until it has been researched we wont know for sure, but it's not always as reported. People can cause damage to the phones sometimes and claim the phone exploded but from taking this phone apart, I did not really see any reason or fault internally that would cause that. I did however notice the phone does tend to heat up at times quite a bit (and cools down just as fast) but that could just be from the large vapor chamber transferring heat efficiently out to the surface of the phone.
