I always laugh at the notion that “mj never won a playoff without pip”. When pip came in the nba he wasn’t even the 6th best player on the bulls, he wasn’t useful untill his 4th season even then pip didn’t make a all star game or become a star until 1992….

"MJ got swept by the big three in Boston."
They say that so casually it's insane. Like the big three Celtics in the 80's aren't a part of some of the greatest teams in NBA history. It's easy to just throw that out when LeBron never faced any team close to that caliber in yhe first round early in his career. It would be like LeBron getting drafted to a terrible team in the west and facing the San Antonio Spurs or Kobe's Lakers in round one. Jordan seems to be the only guy not allowed to have any other good players on his team for his case to have any legitimacy. These dudes clearly mistake Scottie being on the Bulls when they made it out of the first round for Scottie being responsible for it.

I don’t want to hear about the 2020 because you don’t miss the playoffs the previous two seasons, win, and then return to the doldrums the year after winning the championship, if you were a legitimate team.

Imagine MJ being held to the highest expectation of greatness of the great MJ, because essentially that's what people do today lol!
When you're the standard of greatness in ALL sports, the only thing the naysayers can do is try to diminish the standard of greatness by poking holes in what is greatness.
This is why the "new era" fans throw stones at the throne, because they hope to remove the GOAT to replace him with their manufactured "king". 😂

I loved your idea of comparing MJ to current players over the last 10 years give or take. You should do a video on this. Every facet of MJs game compared to current type players or other greats. They would really have to put 5-10 great players if not more to equal MJ. I mean one example is footwork bc fundamentals are also key on why MJ is the goat. Only player I’ve ever seen could compare and that Hakeem Olajuwon. Yes for a center Hakeem had the best but bc of his size limitation he still didn’t equal what MJ could do. I mean MJ ran a 4.2 40 for crying out loud. Then add in the footwork of Hakeem and you have the perfect specimen. I mean there’s stories of MJ moving 4.5 40 time dribbling the ball down the court. Idc what people say that translates to today’s game. I’m not even explaining this well and that’s only one point towards his greatness. I know you could do a better job and make a better video then that goat debate video that was an hour long by doing this. It’s so sad that people are trying to rip apart one of any sports greatest, if not the best, just so they can prop someone else up. Don’t diminish MJ and what he could actually do bc you’re mad your guy isn’t number 1 by most people. MJ was a physical freak in a smaller package. Some would argue the perfect size for basketball domination. He had the best fundamentals and could pass like Lebron. He worked hard on both sides more than any other throughout history. Which when I gave the suggestion to make this video I was even thinking about defensive comparisons to other you would have to combine to equal MJ. It’s so crazy to me that people who are Lebron fans that grew up loving MJ, aka LeShannon Sharpe, would try to tear down MJ. Even that fool growing up and a NFL hall of famer wanted to be like MJ if he could.

The difference between MJ and bron is MJ had to learn and grow to be a leader for his team, even with his personal faults. He knew that over time it would take a lot of mental strength, cooperation, teamwork, learning everyones strengths, and use them to eventually get to the finals, if not win 2 three peats. Some of his teammates knew this important factor; "You dont have to like him as a person, but you will learn to work as a team and win not just for personal sake, but for the team as a whole"

    TOP 30 ALL TIME:
    1. Michael Jordan - the greatest player and the greatest career in NBA history. Most dominant offensive force and one of the games best defenders. A literal, overpowered video game character.
    6x Champ 6x FMVP 5x MVP 1x DPOY
    2. Bill Russell - BILLY. Russell is the greatest winner and greatest defensive force in NBA and sports history. A legend on/off court. The key to NBA first dynasty.
    11x Champ 5x FMVP 5x MVP
    3. Magic Johnson - the great PG ever (so far…). REVOLUTIONIZED his position and saved the NBA. He has the highest assist avg. all time and went to the Finals 7/12 seasons between his rookie season and first retirement. Remarkable. Magical.
    5x Champ 3x FMVP 3x MVP
    4. LeBron James - the greatest longevity in sports history. One of the most dominant forces ever and top5 all round player. ALLTIME points leader and the only player to keep up this quality of play this late into a HOF/Mt Rushmore career.
    Still.. counting.
    4x Champ 4x FMVP 4x MVP
    5. Tim Duncan - best PF ever. One of the most fundamentally sound players ever. Played both ends at the highest level for 15 seasons. BIG Fundamental
    5x Champ 3x FMVP 2x MVP
    6. Kareem Abdul Jabar - owner of the most dominant go-to move on offense. The HOOK. The previous scoring leader and lead all points for 4 decades. The greatest BASKETBALL career ever.
    Prep to Pro.
    6x Champ 2x FMVP 6x MVP
    7. Kobe Bryant - see number 1 and dilute the athleticism and physical intangibles and that’s what you got.
Arguably the greatest warrior in NBA history. Bean lead LA to 7 titles in his 20 year career and took 5. A gladiator, general, philosopher and true sage of the game … forever missed.
    24everMamba.
    5x Champ 2x FMVP 1x MVP
    8. Shaquille O’Neal - the most dominant ever. The immovable object/unstoppable force. Shaq was the definition of dominance. Should’ve been the goat. Nobody was in better position to take the crown of GOAT from MJ since Shaq in 04’. Yes.
    NOT Kobe, NOT LBJ. DIESEL.
    4x Champ 3x FMVP 1x MVP
    9. Larry Bird - maybe the most legendary on the list. Precursor to Jokic but better. One of the most skilled & clutch players ever.
    In any sport. LARRY LEGEND.
    3x Champ 2x FMVP 3x MVP
    10. Hakeem Olajuwon - back to back.
The best of the mid90’s and second best player in the era. Hakeem is like Russell but with AllNBA offensive ability.
    2x Champ 2x FMVP 1x MVP
    11. Wilt Chamberlain - the games most prolific scorers. Arguably it’s greatest defender as well. The man could do it all. Even lead the league in assist at 7”2. Wilt IS unparalleled.
    GOAT athlete.
    2x Champ 2x FMVP 4x MVP
    12. Steph Curry - the games most prolific shooter and one of its greatest scorers. The only unanimous MVP and the first ever. The catalyst for the current style of NBA basketball. REVOLUTIONIZED the game forever. STILL GOING.
    Splash Bro.
    4x Champ 1x FMVP 2x MVP
    13. Isaiah Thomas - ZEKE. CP3 before CP3 but nastier and meaner. A warrior and one of the games greatest strategist and generals. Quietly a top5 passer.
    2x Champ 2x FMVP
    14. Oscar Robertson - the greatest all around basketball player ever. Could do everything at a AllNBA level.
Changed the way players were interpreted and influenced generations.
    1x Champ 2x MVP
    15. Kevin Durant - the Slim Reaper is likely the most ideal offensive weapon ever. Can hit from anywhere, anytime over anyone. Hard to beat and impossible to match that level of offensive dominance.
    2x Champ 2x FMVP 1x MVP
    16. Julius Erving - The good Dr., the FIRST MJ (before Magic & Jordan), The icon and face of BOTH leagues that saved the game in the 70’s. Kareem was the best but Doc was a close 2nd. Underrated statistical brilliance. Was like a 6’7-6’8 Giannis but with a better jump shot.
    3x Champ (1 NBA) 2x FMVP 4x MVP (1 NBA)
17.. Moses Malone - CHAIRMAN OF DA BOARDS. Arguably the best board getter… ever. Only Wilt, Russell, Rodman and Thurmond belong in the same discussion. Moses lead his people to the promise land more than once but was able to claim immortality in the early 80’s. His team lead by the dynamic duo of he and Doc dominated the league. Before Lakers v. Celtics it was 76ers v. Celtics-Lakers.
    1x Champ 1x FMVP 3xMVP
    18. John Havlicek - the GREAT one. MJ is 6-0.
Ole Johnny is 8-0. The offensive force off the bench or starting that lead the dynastic Celtics to all 8. Early in his career he was akin to Jordan Poole role on Warriors 22’ team but better at everything but the 3 ball.
Then in the late 60’s-70’s he sat in captains seat. His career is a unique mix.
Played like Pippen with elite perimeter shooting/scoring, early career was early Kobe-esque, late career MJ/Kobe-esque.
John’s game rose in the playoffs.
    8x Champ 1x FMVP (likely 4x)
    19. Giannis Antetokounmpo - it’s getting freaky… GreekMan is literally on the ride to potentially threatening Tim’s best PF title.
If he can add a couple more rings to his already HOF profile he will likely be the new PF or TOP 5 player. Yea. THAT GOOD.
    1x Champ 1x FMVP 2x MVP 1x DPOY
    20. Jerry West - The LOGO. Steph Curry before Steph. The man that built the LA franchise along Baylor post Mikan era.
Jerry West was the blueprint skill base for players like Kobe, MJ, TMac, etc
At 6’2-6’3 he torched his opponents his entire career and dropped plenty of dimes.
The ORIGINAL combo guard. So damn great he LOST and still won FMVP… case closed.
    1x Champ 1x FMVP
    21. Nikola Jokic - the Joker is no damn joke.
Genuinely a candidate for potential GOAT if his career pans out in the extreme positive like that of the top 10. Jokic is in a unique place being the greatest passing big statically NBA history (excluding Magic).
If Jokic finds a way to fit more jewelry in his fingers, we might have to have a real discussion about that greatest Center of all time discussion. Yes. Potentially a top 5 player alert.
1x MVP 1x FMVP 3x MVP (should’ve been 3 consecutive but you know
    22. Rick Barry - The ACTUAL “White Mamba”. Just predated the black one… Barry was the answer up until 85’ when you asked who the best SF ever. His game was similar to West but 6’7 and a better FT%. Controversial, cerebral and iconic.
Had so much game he had to share what was left with his sons…
    1x Champ 1x FMVP
    23. Kevin Garnett - The Big Ticket. The 00’ Giannis. In every way but he had a better jumper midrange and beyond. KG was a monstrosity on OFF/DEF in his prime much like his modern comparison.
Led the TWolves to relevance and led the 08’ Celtics to a chip. Truly the BIG TICKET.
    1x Champ 1x FMVP 1x MVP
    24. Dirk Nowitzki - DIGGLER. The one and only. The German Bird. THE Maverick. Dirk is one of the most beloved, iconic and acclaimed players ever. The 00’s stretch big supreme.
Dirk was able to take the Mavs to immortality over 11’ Heat in arguably the most surprising run ever.
    Only Dirk. Forever the DIGGLER.
    Arguably, the GOAT Euro player.
    1x Champ 1x FMVP 1x MVP
    25. Bob Pettit - Big Blue was the first stretch 4 in the games history. That’s for starters. Pettit was a tenacious rebounder and highly skilled scorer.
He was much akin to K. Love of his era but in better shape and played defense. Think a smaller Dirk who grabbed boards like Love but in the 50’s-60’s era. Not only that, much like Dirk, Pettit lead a historic upset over Russell’s Celtics. A true champ.
    1x Champ 1x FMVP 2x MVP
    26. Dwayne Wade - The Flash.
Wade County. The greatest Heat in NBA history. Wade is arguably the best defensive player at his position and easily too3 (MJ, Kobe). Led the Heat to a title in 06’ in historic fashion against Dirks Mavs.
Then winning a couple more as LBJ’s Pippen. His career was like Kobe’s… in reverse. Wade’s early injuries reduced his maximum career output but yet here he is… says a ton.
    3x Champ 1x FMVP
    27. Elgin Baylor - The PROTOTYPE.
Before West, Julius, Thompson, Wilkins, MJ, Hardaway, Kobe, Carter, TMac, Wade, Ant etc
There was Elgin Baylor. The first Air, the first Mamba, the first Half Man/Amazing, Flash etc
Baylor spearheaded an era that hardly wanted his talents there but had no other choice but to be in awe of it.
Think Harden, in shape but not as good of a playmaker, twice the rebounder and a better defender.
    That’s Elgin.
*left a season before historic LAL title win
    28. David Robinson - The Admiral.
The USA’s biggest weapon in the 90’s was also one of the greatest ever.
Made the spurs relevant pre-Duncan and post. Has some of the greatest seasons statistically. Think Giannis but 7’2 with a lefty and 15 footer plus an even better defender.
    2x Champ 1x MVP
    29. Karl Malone - the Mailman was LBJ minus the handles and vision.
King of the pick n roll.
    1x MVP
    30. Charles Barkley - The Round Mound of Rebound was the Tasmanian devil in a basketball jersey.
    Prime 25 5 13 guy.

30 (?) Clyde Drexler - The Glide. One of the most useful all around talents in nba history. One of the greatest two way players ever. Helped every squad he went to become a contender.

My feedback is I have no idea what you prioritize on your list. Duncan over Kobe tends to lend towards a list that prioritizes defense, yet we have Magic significantly ahead of Bird and Kareem despite those 2 being much better on the defensive end. Olajuwon also ends up pretty low for a defense oriented list, as he can frequently get the nod over Shaq in such a list. I would say rings then is the difference maker on this, as Wilt and Olajuwon ended up on the lower end, but I feel like Kareem is getting underrated on a list that heavily values rings. My next guess would be finals MVPs, but that would tend to elevate LeBron and Shaq to higher than where they ended up, and Oscar Robertson would go down a fair bit.
Your explanations just feel generic, and don't give any sense of relative value. It seems like you put up an arbitrary list, and just said great things about each player. If you put some reasoning for why you rate some players higher than others (even if it is eye test, which is perfectly legitimate) it's a lot easier to make a discussion out of it.

Jordan was doin b4 melo... long b4 melo... so it's not jordan looked like melo... no, it's melo looked similar to jordan in the iso. And for the record... Jordan was a much better finisher at the rim than kyrie...kyrie isn't near as consistent as MJ was...

Laimbeer actually was a pretty decent 3pt shooter, especially for a C in his era. There was a 4 year stretch(including the 2 title years) where he shot 34.6% on 1.4 attempts per game.

Pipen may have not saved MJs career, but MJs career without Pipen wouldn't have been the same. Simply because, as good as his numbers were, he won rings, aided by Pipen, a great roster and the best coach.
    Even MJ recognized that himself.
So, are you gonna deny what MJ acknowledged?

0:01 Shannon Sharpe is a peon compared to Shaquille O’Neal. The GOAT - Michael Jordan & Shannon Sharpe were both eligible for their respective Hall-of-Fames in 2009. One of these 2 men got in to the HOF in 2009 and the other man was rejected from the HOF in 2009. The guy who was rejected in 2009, tried to get into the Hall-of-Fame again the following year in 2010, and dude was rejected AGAIN! He came back for a 3rd time crying and begging in 2011, and finally and mercifully the committee let Shannon Sharpe into his Hall-of-Fame in 2011. Michael Jordan went into his Hall-of-Fame 2 years earlier in 2009. Likewise, as soon as Shaquille O’Neal became eligible for the Hall-of-Fame in 2016, just like the GOAT - Michael Jordan, Shaquille O’Neal got into the Hall-of-Fame immediately, ON HIS FIRST TRY….not on his THIRD TRY like Shannon Sharpe begged for. 🤷‍♂️ 💯

Contrary to the delusions of many LeBron fanboys, Pippen's presence or absence had nothing to do with Chicago's first playoff series win. Rather, it was whether or not Jordan could play at an all-time MVP level that completely transcended normal MVP level, which means that the Chicago roster was so weak enough and the Eastern Conference was a hell of a place at the time that Jordan had to play at an all-time MVP level in his fourth year to win a 1st round playoff series.

I don't understand the Jordan slander. I think nowadays, people only root for players and not root for teams. They will go all in for their players while people who root for teams understand that player's true value. As a Knicks fan, that man made my team his highlight reel without any spacing. I don't say he's the best player because I'm a fanboy, I say it because he was fucking unstoppable and a complete psycho who only wanted to win. Hated that guy back in the day, but i appreciated what I saw from his game at my team's expense.

    Ok, for the last time.
The Pippen argument doesn't hurt MJ goat status in ANY way.
In fact, it PROVES MJ is the GOAT.
No doubt Pippen is an All Star and amazing defender and playmaker. He is a career just under 20ppg.
Nobody debates that he is MJs strongest teammate. And see, THATS ALL JORDAN NEEDED. ONE ALL STAR PLAYER.
Compare that to the "Lebron never had help" fucking all star rosters that this man had, and still couldn't get it done half the time.
Give Jordan ONE all star player and he got it done!

MJ was still great without Pippen. Pippen was the right piece for MJ. I still bet MJ could have gotten 3 or 4 without Pip. People also forget MJ was dealing with alot of issues outside the court as well. Yes, Self inflicted but he still was dealing with issues.

Scottie Pippen was a beast! Without him the Bulls would have lost against the Celtics and Pistons even in 1991. He was the main reason the Pistons lost! Even John Salley from the Pistons admitted that in an interview! Quote “we had no answer for Pippen.” Pippen could play position 1-5. MJ was absolutely amazing player but never 🏆 without Scottie Pippen! MJ bullied his teammates but Scottie kept the team together! 👍🏽👍🏽
