As you were closing out the stream, you jarred my memory with your 6L comment.
I just watched a video of a guy taking an Iron 4.8L/5.3L block (iron) out to 4.000" and using stock 6.0L pistons/rods etc from a friend. I can't want to follow his progress and see if even N/A will hold up. I guess it pays to have your own boring/honing machinery in your home garage....lol. You can try anything.
I have a 4.8L block being bored to 6.0L (with 4.8L crank and rods)
Did he say it had never been done? Anyway, it has been done before
@@richardholdener1727this is something I’ve been wanting to go to do. 4.8 crank, 6.0 or 6.2 block, small cam, huge flowing square port heads and a turbo. Eventually that’s what is going to go in my gto instead of the turbo 5.3 in there now.
I'm new to the LS game. I picked up a 4.8 with 243 heads gen 4. Going to put it in my s10 blazer. It will be mostly street driven. After a cam what mods should I consider doing?
springs, tune, headers, boost
@richardholdener1727 thank you. I'm not looking for any big hp numbers. I would be happy with anything 400+. Maybe years down the road but just a nice driver for now
