Here is a simple explanation (well, as simple as possible for such a big group): NCT (the entire group, rarely perform all together as 1 group, they are all about mix&match from the whole team. Most of the time they perform in fixed sub units, see below. NCT U: members rotate in depending on who suits the song concept/parts best, can be any number/combo from the main group Fixed Sub Units: WAYV : targets the Chinese market NCT 127: targets the Korean market NCT Dream: targets the teen market (early years) and now more the 20somethings market (members are all older now, so they evolved) NCT Wish: targets Japanese market NCT DoeJaeJung: the sex appeal sub unit there is also SuperM: the "Avengers of K-pop" concept, mixing members from NCT plus some members from EXO and SHINee (two other groups from the same agency, SM) I recommend watching the performance of NCT 127 and also NCT Dream on the Killing Voice. Some excellent songs to listen to would be "Lemonade" (127) "Misfit"(U) "Make a Wish" (U) "Moonwalk" (WayV) "Hot Sauce"(Dream) "Perfume" (DJJ) "Hands Up" (Wish) "Jopping" (SuperM)
