      @@omingole7304 hi! Now I’m stuck bouncing between 1025 and 1075. Got up to 1175 for a minute, but I am definitely stuck again. This guy is excellent, I would also check out GM Aman Hambleton’s series to supplement

    • @briansweeney6921
      @briansweeney6921 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@omingole7304 the big thing I took away from these videos that pushed me past 650 is that it is best to plat safe moves and wait for your opponent to make a mistake (they will) and then capitalize on their mistakes. That mentality will definitely help you climb

      Could you give me some insight; why most 700s won’t take pieces back even when they just protected it with a pawn?

    • @aClownBaby-
      @aClownBaby- 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @алексей No I mean do they actually not see it or is it that they defend it with a pawn because they don’t know that a rook is worth more than a pawn, like why not move it, genuinely curious

      @ChessVibesOfficial  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! Doubled pawns can be bad sometimes, but not always. Usually double isolated is much worse, because then the pawns can't help each other at all. However, sometimes the half open files you get with doubled pawns can be useful for you rooks.

    Great channel ! I have a problem the way the moves are made like the trade for the last castle with the way they are shown on the screen . I have to stop and think how did that result in the particular position due to the fact that it show you taking that last castle with the wrong order of moves if that makes sense. I would like to see the castle actually move first then you take it. This occurs over and over and though I know its a trade seeing the resulting position isnt as easy to visualize.

    I don't think e5 at 3:50 is the move. Your original idea is better, just move Qd7. If he goes Nb5 you can castle, and your pawn at a7 is protected by your knight. The problem I see with e5 is like you said, if white plays Qe2 you cannot respond with Qd6 because white simply plays Nb5 threatening your queen. Now you said something about Bb4+, but that runs into c3, which loses you the bishop. If you respond with Qd7 instead you might have just played that at the very start, which was the original idea. The d7 square is also a good square for the queen, since it sets up for Bh3 and a potential attack on the kingside.
    I haven't analyzed it further, so stockfish might disagree :)
    EDIT: Didn't realize you meant Qb4+ and not Bb4+, so that changed everything haha
