  • As we walked thru a Christmas Market in Paris this year, we were attracted by the warm smell of these pies. What a find! Tourtières are wonderful and you may want to spray some armagnac or rum on top ;-) So get some filo pastry and start baking, they are easy to make and will be a hit during the holiday season!

    Ready to make it, but with peaches. Any suggestions?

      ah peaches 🍑 are nice. I never tried, but probably you can cook them lightly in the same way as apples are cooked here. It will let them loose a bit of water. Let me know how it went 😊

    What’s the best apple to use for apple pie?

    • @wasKitchen
      @wasKitchen  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I usually use red apples but I suppose any apple will be as enjoyable 😊

      Traditionally, a not-so-sweet apple was preferred for pies. I’ve always used ‘Granny Smith’ variety. I think they tend to have firmer flesh, and won’t break down as much during cooking. See ‘Cooking apple’ on Wikipedia.

      Granny Smith and Pink Lady; I use them together.

    Made this morning in the #Cosori dual blaze #AirFryer. Looked amazing. Very tasty but way too much butter.

      Hello, I am not sure why the bottom remain soft. Did you use maybe the function which cooked only top? Sorry I have not much idea...
