Nightmare on elm street specifically for dream warriors lol Maze runner (Not a horror franchise more of a teen utopia) Malignant (not a franchise) Orphan and orphan first kill 🙌🏾 Apocalypto (masterpiece in my opinion)
Not part of a franchise but The Wolfman (2010) with Anthony Hopkins, Benicio DelToro, Hugo Weaving and Emily Blunt. It hasn't been done to death like so many others. The Legendary Rick Baker did the makeups and it's fabulous. I'm a fan of practical effects mixed with CGI.
I was thinking this when Blake was saying the story didn't make as much sense to him. This series is made as a trilogy like LOTR, we've only gotten the beginning of the story with this first movie.
Fun fact: The actor who plays the red-skinned demon is also the composer of the Insidious films. He’s also known for doing the musical score for most of The Conjuring films as well. Joseph Bishara is known having a kind of avant-garde style of orchestral writing. Particularly with the strings used. I am a big fan of those dissonant sounding horror tremolo and pizzicato textures in horror soundtracks. Along with some intense electronics and ominous crescendoes.
Blakes reaction honestly is real. When this movie first came out, my cousin spent the night. My cousin and older brother were watching it downstairs in the basement with the lights off, and he was scared shitless LMAOOOO. He was covering his eyes, hiding behind the pillows and shit lol. Insidious was genuinely a scary ass movie
The zoom in on Igli’s pup yawning was adorable 🥰 This movie isn’t terribly scary but it is to me because I had a near death experience a few years after this came out and I was stuck somewhere like what Elise refers to as “The Further”. It’s very real- the fact that your astral/spiritual body can be somewhere different from your physical body
the fact blake enjoyed the saw series (when we thought it would give him a heart attack) but is terrified of these type of scary movies is so funny to me 😂 i feel the same
i would recommend sinister 1000% for a stand alone thing. easily one of the most creepy disturbing films ive ever seen. the only horror films that have genuinely unsettled me are hereditary and sinister
I forgot to say this in the first Saw but Leigh Whannell (Adam) the reason why he sounded so funny and Blake teasing him is bc he's Australian and ig he tried his best to hide his accent, didn't know he sounded funny. Now he sounds great and is good writer lol
We got Adam back lol. Aww Blake still hides behind his hands, he's really gonna want to do that with the movies we're gonna recommend and especially Midsommar 😭
@@rumham7466I couldn't even make it through Terrifier. Like... WTAF?!? Soon as that scene started I walked away. Nope. Not for me. Much respect. Never again. 😂
@Wash869 idk, I can think of one that's my all time favorite jumpscare in a different movie. Hint: it involves a lawnmower. Don't wanna ruin what movie it is for the guys though, in case they watch it.
Leigh wanell an amazing writer played spec's he also had a role in one of the saw movies which he also wrote for James wan. The two are a formidable duo
Ello gentlemen. Greetings from England! Fairly new to your channel, but love your reactions. When I first saw this film it was one of the first that gave me genuine jump scares. Happy to be a part of your TH-cam journey!
Blake looks so much like the meme of the little girl giving bombastic side eye for so much of the reaction like he’s so scared, this is what were here for.
I’m so happy you uploaded this! Insidious is just the creepiest franchise, especially the first two movies. Can’t wait to see your reaction to the sequel, where it expands on the lore etc! 😍
Ever since I initially found this channel from the saw movies I really really look forward to all the horror reactions, as a horror movie fan it feels like I’m watching some of my favourite movies with some friends and I love it! Thank you guys for the uploads🙏🏻😊
I’ve been sacred to watch this movie since I was a kid because of that shot of the thing behind patrick wilson but ngl this really felt like the skeleton of a horror movie - probably should’ve watched back in 2010 😂
I saw this when it was released in theaters at like 11 pm at night and had to drive home alone at like 1 am 😂 I was terrified. I agree the sound effects in this movie are absolutely diabolical 😂
I really like the insidious films they’ve got a lot of the classic jump scares , if I could recommend another horror I’d love to get your guys reaction to sinister it’s the only horror movie that makes me uncomfortable…sorry Blake😂
What I love about James Wan is he doesn't make you wait for the scares. So many horror movies have boring long build ups where barely anything happens the first 75% of the movie then everything happens at the end. Wan gives you stuff all the way through. Horror movie recommendations: Stir of Echoes Pitch Black Sinister The Descent You're Next Pandorum Jennifer's Body Zombieland 1&2 Freaky Gothika Stigmata Misery Doctor Sleep Signs The Fly Get Out P.S. Given that James Wan directed both The Conjuring and Insidious franchises, they bear his distinctive style. However, I connected the first Insidious with The Haunting of Hill House due to their shared red door motif. What’s behind the red door? Nothing good, of course, lol.
Insidious 2 really wraps the story up perfectly and I believe the new insidious red door is the TRUE finally to this families story. I love this series, which is odd to say about horror but truly, well written. And conjuring came after this so technically this came first :)
@1:01:35 the further isnt hell. Like Elise said in the movie, its a realm filled with tortured souls. I seem someone else say its like a kind of purgatory, beyond death, but before Heaven and hell.
I went to see this at the cinema when it came out. The collective heart attack when red face appeared behind Josh!! The guy next to me took off his coat and sat with it on backwards so the hood covered his face for the rest of the movie 🤣
You guys have to react to The Black Phone (2021). I see a lot of comments recommending Sinister, which I agree you should watch. Not a franchise, but "Exists"(2014) "The Forest"(2016) and "Chernobyl Diaries"(2012) are very good and underrated horror movies

You have to watch INSIDIOUS 2. It expands on the lore of the ghost and picks up during the same night.
It’s NOT a GHOST it’s demonic the red and black creature is a demon.

in the second movie: oh the scene when that lady slaps the mom

yes. his name is Joseph Bishara. he also played Bathsheeba in the first conjuring movie
Wattt? It was a 'he'???? Now they do look familiar@@merlynfereira9631
‘Sinister’ disturbed me, and I am a huge horror buff and don’t get rattled easily. ‘The Descent’ depends what you’ve seen or not.
Sinister was one of those movies that was so unsettling, I almost felt like I shouldn't be watching it🤣
Sinister is one of my favorites!
Sinister f me up forever. I loooove The Descent though
Blake and Cojo both simultaneously saying "What?" To Igli's "what do you mean, they only have one kid" was hysterically edited 😂
right
So glad horror became a mainstay on this channel!
I swear I'm making a drinking game with how many times Blake covers his face prematurely.

Patrick Wilson is amazing in the horror franchise, like the Insidious movies and The Conjuring movies and Hard Candy.

For standalones, I'd highly recommend Sinister and The Descent.
Both good films which are also very scary and full of reaction-worthy moments!
@RaggedyPack And "Exists"(2014) a very underrated Bigfoot movie

Third for “The Descent”!
Fourth for Sinister.

the fact blake enjoyed the saw series (when we thought it would give him a heart attack) but is terrified of these type of scary movies is so funny to me 😂 i feel the same
Yea I get it though. They’re different types of horror. Saw is moreso visual gore. These are more psychologically effective.
right idk how hes mostly scared of everything when it comes to horror🤣
