- The blue potato bush is a fast-growing evergreen that can grow up to 10 feet tall. It's purely an ornamental plant with purple-blue flowers. It can be grown as a tree or as a hedge too. that will grow to as much as ten feet in height and width. Watch this video to see how to propagate it from cuttings.

I love my potato bush. It isn’t native but it grows incredibly well. I need about 2 more of the one huge bush I have now.
Best of luck!

Thank you for uploading this! There was literally little to no videos on this before you posted and this is thorough and well explained. I appreciate you :)
Thank you!
I would like to say that I live in Fresno California very hot here in the summer this bushes get little to no water in the summer but they really thrive
That's awesome
Great video. Subscribed
Thank you
Thank you for that warning on it being poisonous for little ones and pets. I just moved into my house with our family dog and didn’t know everything about this plant is dangerous until recently. Such a shame because it is so beautiful and does well in AZ. I will transfer into a big pot and move to front area instead of the backyard ground that it is in now.
Good
Thank you showing the progress! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I am glad you liked it
A really good tutorial, easy to understand. Thank you 😊
You are welcome
Beautiful bush 💜
Yes it is
Hi Thank you for the video. I recently purchased this plant from homedepot and placed it on the ground. The size is about the same as you show on 10:40. Once it's put on the ground, do you need to provide support for it to grow (stick or others, etc.)? I placed myself about 6-7inch from my fence it's been doing really well in the past 2 weeks. They are all going in different directions, I wonder if we should first let it grow stronger branch before pruning or keep pruning to a few branches and that will make it stronger? thx a lot
It's a good idea to train it while it's young. If you want to grow it like a tree, let it have one main trunk only.
thx and good to know. They are such easy plants to grow and they grow fast! @@EasyPeasyGardening
@@notimeclock4001 good luck
Thank you. And just want to let everyone know that the plant is growing super fast in my backyard in the past 3 weeks (I am in Oakland, California about zone 9-10). The flower is very nice so in case you don't need to worry about pet nor kids, this is a nice shrub that grows very fast. @@EasyPeasyGardening
@@notimeclock4001 awesome
