- After 10 years of worshipping without a church building, which was established by Apulu and Rosa Vaelua (RIP our blessings), we finally have a church building. With determination, courage and God's never-ending love this church building happened. God is amazing and worth praising for his blessings upon our family in Savai'i, Samoa.

It takes three years of postgraduate traineeship to be accredited with a Masters Builders licence in Australia this is after an additional months and even years of apprenticeship under a Master Building firm/company. As for this Samoan version of how necessity is the mother of invention...in the construction of a Samoan Fale Sa, its a concerted Village effort where sexism and gender specific job descriptions are superseded by the need of the Tufuga fau fale for construction workers. Nora I to can relate with Tim’s comment , your posting this got my attention,as a Builder under American Standard , this is hands down hard work with limited resources, tai lava for sharing and also remind me everyday as a Samoan builder in this crazy country to Pay attention and most importantly who I am!! I always tell my non Samoan carpenters that Samoan aren’t just canoe builders! Look 👀 wat my people can also build! Thank you 🙏🤙🏿🤙🏿
