    As for dior he is a kid first and most of all which means he's going to make bad choices and mistakes. And everyone deserves a second chance. Yes he is on thin ice. But this was a wake up call for him and a lesson learned. I pray he commits to doing what's best now.
    As for the Illinois situation with sky he may be having family and personal issues which has to be respected. Good luck to him

    I have to be totally honest here. I've been watching Illinois basketball closely this season, and this kid did not stand out. I hardly even noticed him. Terrence Shannon Jr. is the guy to watch on that team. They are loaded with other talent like Matthew Mayer and Dain Dainja, along with freshmen Jayden Epps and defensive stalwart Sincere Harris. I wish Clark nothing but the best, but they've actually played better without him.

    Don't care what size high school you go too, going to high major school you are playing against 5 all state guys! Some guys can't handle it, especially with a old school coach like Underwood! I'm sure he will find a fit somewhere, it worked out for illinois, they were already having minute distribution issues, plus Jayden Epps is an absolute beast, who has handled the jump better than any of the freshman so far! If he stays 4 years he will be talked about amongst the greatest point guards to go to illinois! Future so bright, better put them shades on!

      I used to play basketball in high school and before high school I played in all of the summer winter tournaments throughout New York City and if I must say so myself I was pretty good not only because I am able to say it myself but other people told me so but I screwed up my opportunity and I can honestly say that when you're young there's a lot of things that can screw you up and take you off of your focus you have to have support at home first of all and you have to have a coach that cares about you not just about winning he needs to care about every individual player on that team and to have to have them conversations with them about what's best and what they feel is best for them and help guide them you know it's hard because you don't want to make mistakes or bad choices when you're young but the fear of making bad mistakes and bad choices can lead you to doing so then you have your ego and your pride which can screw you up totally as well along with all of the hoopla and the height with people saying you're good you're great when you get to the NBA remember me and all this crazy stuff and when all the set is done and you make that mistake and you stop playing or you don't do well none of those people all around to help console you or even to help you get back on track if you still have time to if you're the right age and everything so I understand how sky can feel like it's time to walk away for a while because there might be things going on within him emotionally it doesn't have to be a family issue or a psychological problem it could just be he's emotionally drained from being pulled in every direction and realizing that nobody really has his best interest at heart if he's not doing good cuz when you have good games everything is okay when you're in that slump that shooting slump and things aren't falling and shots ain't falling they don't look at you the same they don't praise you the same they don't console you nobody helps you work through it like I said unless you have that support so I can see how sky can feel like it's time for him to take a break and I can understand how Dior made the bad decision by hitting his girl which is something I wouldn't do and never have done but I can see how he felt nothing would happen this is me I'm not God but at the end of the day in America nobody that guy if you're the wrong complexion and if you don't know the right people even if you're the right complexion you're not going to be that guy all in all you just got to have support from your family and weed out who is really your friends and have a good coach that really cares not only when you're playing good but when you're playing bad a coach will coach you through those situations while he's supposed to be he's one of the biggest influences in your life other than your parents

      @joshuabridgeman9749 Since he left, I have a different perspective. I don't know what went on behind closed doors, but his production did not meet the hype. College ball is quite different than high school. I like Bardo's refrigerator rule and he nailed it. I get the impression the other players did not think he deserved a starting position and if that is so, they were correct. Let's see how it works out in a few more games, but currently, it appears that he was the source of some of the problems.

      That boy nice they gonna let him play all he needs to do is change his thinking. Because no person owns another person and has the right to hit her or him. Then get some counseling and become the poster boy for being against domestic abuse and get into anger management and make a sincere public apology to the girl her family his family fans and the school and he will be allowed to move forward with his life because he is just a young kid that has to publicly acknowledge that he made a tragic mistake that used poor judgment say that he has to learn to make better decisions. Then he will be allowed to put this behind him and move forward. And remember to say the above suggested things whenever he is asked about the issue in the future.

  • @beansamillion3961
    @beansamillion3961 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Skyy initially wanted to take the one and done route. That's why he originally committed to Kentucky. We all know how Coach Cap's program gets down.
    But unfortunately due to injuries and him decommitting at Kentucky (there were rumors he wouldn't be guaranteed a starter due to returning players and new recruits) he ended up at Illinois.
    He was guaranteed a starting role. Allegedly he got into an altercation with one of his teammates as well and overall there were chemistry issues involving the team and coaching staff.
    Him leaving was moreso him not being able to start and his Father moreso made the decision rather than him doing so.
    I'm moreso concerned he may be seen as a flake by other programs and they may not have the confidence to let him start. If they feel he's just gonna be one of those players that dips out if he doesn't get his way so to speak. I'm rooting for him though. It's really competitive nowadays and alot harder to get drafted and even start on a D1 level than it was 15-20 years ago, imo.
    Not saying he may not have some legitimate personal problems going on, but I believe it has to do with him starting and being drafted.

    You have to respect Sky Clark decision as it’s clear that whatever is going on it’s bigger than the game right now. Respect the man privacy and boundaries.
    As for Dior, I have mixed emotions with his situation. From a basketball standpoint I’m glad he’s back but outside of that you have to look at the character. Nothing is ever that important or deep enough to hit a woman as a man(unless it’s self defense) let alone chase her with a weapon. I get it everyone deserves I get that he’s young,however 18 year old perspective looking at Dior being 18 doing this idk if that 2nd chance was deserved as of yet. I truly hope he proves me wrong I love the man’s game.
