for maths and urdu i have design activities like to paste a letter, make with clay , puzzle making , on sand .should i use the same for english along with phonics. if i start should i call the names of the english letters or just sound like /k/ cap, cup, car . as always just lower case letters are shown to the kids. atleast one week should to given to the kid to fully learn a letter. normally a simple four lines note book is given to the kid to write A with a pencil . is this the correct way? kindly guide me about this as i am living in china and doing home schooling yo my kid. and also guide me to how to make a plan for a week like time etc

Best ha! After verbal blending and segmentation, you'll start the letters as in Kifayat book. Teach the letter sounds. And remember to teach all the possible sounds a single letter makes. So 'c' has two sounds. Teach both. After teaching 6 letters as in Kifayat book. Then blend those letters and read the sentences

Try starting with a fixed time in the morning, so he knows what to expect! Don't force and don't call it school 😅 School/parhna etc. En words ko society ny negative effect diya hua! Sometimes, a little treat after a lesson helps to get started with some kids :)

Use urdu as well. Why not? It's our national language, our own language. And alot of material over the years have written in urdu, countless short stories, religious books for kids, etc etc. its sad we don't put enough focus or emphasis on that.
