Buster Keaton - "Hard Luck" 1921 - polska wersja

Buster plays a down on his luck young man who decides to commit suicide after losing his job and his girl. After several inept attempts to end his life - and bolstered by whiskey disguised as poison - he joins an expedition to capture an armadillo. Buster finds himself becoming more confident through a series of adventures (such as fishing and fox hunting) as the film proceeds. The confidence becomes his undoing as he misses the pool in a dive from a high board and hits the ground on the far side with such force that he disappears into a hole. Some years later, an Asian-garbed Buster climbs out of the hole in the now dry and deserted pool followed by a Chinese wife and two young children.

Buster umniejsza swoje szczęście młodemu mężczyźnie, który po stracie pracy i dziewczyny postanawia popełnić samobójstwo. Po kilku nieudolnych próbach zakończenia życia - i wzmocniony whisky przebraną za truciznę - dołącza do ekspedycji mającej na celu schwytanie pancernika. Buster staje się coraz bardziej pewny siebie poprzez serię przygód (takich jak łowienie ryb i polowanie na lisy) w miarę rozwoju filmu. Pewność siebie staje się jego zgubą, gdy nie trafia w basen podczas skoku z wysokiej deski i uderza w ziemię po drugiej stronie z taką siłą, że znika w dziurze. Kilka lat później z dziury w wyschniętym i opuszczonym basenie wychodzi ubrany w Azjatę Buster, a za nim chińska żona i dwoje małych dzieci.

Have been a lifetime fan and must express my gratitude being able to watch so much material via the internet. One thing is certain: Long after we are gone ( I am 86) Buster will still be enjoyed and appreciated by future generations. Kind rergards to all fans. June 2022.

I have the 1966 biography book by Rubi Blesh call "Keaton" it's 500 pages. Black cover him on the front cover, it's in VG grade. It's great read.📕
