    Love this. Keep on pushing Jack. You are doing an amazing job. Both with the race and taking the time to video everything. Much appreciated.

    Check your connectors. Some resistance from a loose connector wire can be hindering the charge. I can't tell you how often I fix electrical items because of a loose connector! Thanks for sharing these videos. Makes me feel that my 300 mile ebike jaunt should be a walk in the park lol

    Hi Jack, another really nice video, and happy for you for another very good day....bye bye Sahara!
    Probably filming is good 'distraction' for you, when everything looks the same and the day is still so long....

    I applaud you for staying decent, fair and properly motivated.
    It is a pity the whole Jean-Marc thing happened but that is what bike-racing is about, accidents do happen and Jean-Marc took a risk stopping where he did. It could also have been a car instead of you that bumped into him.
    I have seen it a lot in sports, all the excuses....I am glad you take responsibility for what happened and your role in it.
    The letter of the organisers is well weighted and fair and creating every possibility for a fair race. Well done!
    Interesting how you plan your average speed and your calorie-usage. It is what is needed for a race like this!

    Jack, with such super-human efforts on consecutive days, how do you manage the hydration, the stretching and avoiding the building of toxins, cramps and general fatigue in your leg muscles?

    • @JackButlerVideos

      I became incredibly fit before this trip. That helps. I'm staying in zone one as much as I possibly can in order to rest if you know the 5 zone model.

    Thanks for continuing the great videos . I am enjoying a fantastic vicarious trip in the Sahara! Would you ever go back to an upright bike?

    • @JackButlerVideos

      For sure. Not for a suntrip probably recumbents are just better Suited.

      Yeah they are the best for touring.Not as nippy as upright in town ,but I find mine fine.Hard to lose that comfort and being weird

    What percent of your momentum is the panel supplying on average? Can you just coast on level ground without pedaling? Trying to understand how much power the sun is supplying.

    • @JackButlerVideos

      If by momentum you mean power then in the non sunny days 0% and the best sunny day maybe 50%. It was a race so there was never a time i wasn't pedaling, i haven't actually tested it as not pedaling is not really of interest to me.

    I think a fairer outcome from the crash would be 24 hour agreed repair time for both bicycles. Why is it the one competitor gets to choose the time and place for the repairs. The outcome seems one sided. But overall sensible. GO GO GO Jack, In racing its not over to the chequered flag - Anything can happen until then and we all support you.

    I have never seen a video like this before , of someone in such a long race, filming as they go.
    This is awesome!
    May i ask one thing? Can u tell us how fast u r going, and other metrics, stats, thats all very very interesting
    Best of luck!

    • @JackButlerVideos

      25km/h was my average speed at the end of the race including all climbing.

    • @mreconomics1125

      @@JackButlerVideos i wonder if possible is there a way u can say somethint like your average speed but adjusted by removing the bits where you used the motor?
      Also, what percent of riding time on average did you use your motor?

    • @JackButlerVideos

      @mreconomics1125 i would try and calculate/guess how much solar energy i would have made by the end of the day and try to "spend" it evenly for the full 14 hours as it's more efficient
