AWESOME buys! Anyway, just wanted to say a quick "hi" and let you know that I really enjoy these mailbag videos! Always see something new I never knew I needed. Heh.
Those TRS sockets are awesome! Very good solution for a very common problem! Thanks for finding them!
Thanks 👍
Fun stuff as always. I love the options for the bottles. All mine are almost full. I might get a few more and try the other nozzles. Those long twisty ones could be really good for deoxit.
The Nintendo cables and receptacles... that's pretty cool!
You are going to need a bigger desk soon 😀
AmTech is the best flux! 😆
All sorts of interesting stuff.
That TM1637 can drive up to 6 characters, or read 16 keys. First exposure to that.
Also unfamiliar with the MCP6002, but it is so inexpensive, must be a jellybean opamp.
The one possibly restrictive thing about that opamp is the maximum voltage is relatively low so it would have to probably stay within 5 V max circuits although I wonder if there’s a similar one with higher voltage if I needed to go to 9 V or something for other audio circuits.
Don't get me wrong but it would probably be a good idea to get some bins to organize all those loose parts in the desk, at least those big capacitors that are taking lot of space.
I had some bins but they got used up by other parts I bought at the same time as the bins. It’s an ongoing race condition.
@@GadgetReboot Maybe more bins are something to add to your orders for the next mailbag :)
I wouldn't buy IC's from China. I learned the hard way. Low chances that they are genuine, meet datasheet specs, or work at all.
same with transistors but for general work bench experimenting I still do it because I’ve had relative success along with some failures. When I need something that definitely works it’s Mouser or DigiKey or salvaging out of a scrap board laying around.
I always make extensive testing on ic, almost all opamps and mosfets are fake, i always try to buy used stuff, not ideal but at least they are the real deal and much more cheaper than new. Already happen to buy LMV358 to the same seller with 1 week difference and in the 1st order they were really genuine parts, in 2nd order they were crappy fakes but at least i got my money back.
