Here, you can submit a team to me via message/DM on discord, and I can fix the EV spreads or recommend Pokemon for what's optimal for the format at the moment. You can also receive a member-only video where I fully explain how I fix the team, but if you'd like to just do this part via discord call, this is fine. Tier 3 -$9.99: Here we can BUILD a team from scratch rather than simply fix a squad. This can be done via discord call, as well as a dedicated member-only video for it.
Thanks for watching, all! What do you think of the template we provided in the video? Did I give you a better understanding of how to build your own balance team? Let me know in the comments!
Lowkey I needed this. Ive been wanting to play Pult/Pao since the game came out hit and I want it to be unique but its so hard to not just end up with a copypaste of Justin Tangs team.
My band Dpult, sash Pow team has Azumaril, Arcanine, Scarf Tusk and amoongus. It’s been the most consistent for me in Reg C. I’ve played around with a lot of other stuff but that’s what feels best for me. Azu aqua jet feels like it hits as well as regular non tera/rain jet punch as far as damage.
@@johnes That is a solid team, Ive been considering Tusk as well to replace the Flutter Mane slot but currently my Tera Water Gholdengo has been matching up so well into PAAF. I do want to consider Azumarill it’s definitely hard to get palafin set up
@@augustus7434 nice. Yeah I feel like like I don’t have enough skill to really make palafin work well. I’ve tried using it since the first day of series 1 and I always felt like I could have a better option on the team.
@@johnes I dont have enough skill either 😭😭. I definitely bring it the least often out of all of my members. But one good tech is to lead Pala/Pult switch out Palafin and then U-Turn with Pult and you can get Palafin back in on the same turn
Loved this video! I will definitely be attempting to go back to basics and use this information.....and force Sylveon onto a team even though Flutter Face exists.
Exactly. you got it. If there's a fire pokemon in front of the water type, switch out the fire for the grass to absorb the hit and then next turn you're in a better position
I dont think "counter" is ever correct for something like this. "Having options" to deal with them is better. It really comes down to your own play. Balance teams aren't as aggressive as HO teams but they aren't completely passive either. Just find your spots to overwhelm their win conditions, usually the flutter mane, the palafin, or the strong dragon they have. You have to get through their Arcanine/Amoongus first.
i would look at paul ruiz's team from EUIC if you wanna see an example of smth that beats balance pretty well (maushold/gholdengo specifically is p bad for balance) and certain variants of trick room absolutely farm balance
@@CloverBells i do think it has a place tho- especially with hatterene replacing armorouge and the format being very fast+psychic terrain being very good
I am using the same exact team, I knew it was good haha I just use flutter mane with perish song for the dondozo matchup, scarf chomp fire Tera and chi yu tera grass Tera blast for the Palafin or even dondozo matchup

Whats the theory behind these elemental and fantasy cores? Covering for weaknesses? Synergies?

Great content as always but with balance being popular what would be counter measures?

@Weiss Valentine Yeah but there's barely TR squads running around atm because of the meta. Thats the main thing~
