Moussa Ngom & Le Groupe Talibe - (Goudi Ndakarou) En Live Au Sahel Vol. 1 (1995)

a live tape from the ever-wonderful musician Moussa Ngom (heard frequently on this channel), part of a (as far as i know) two volume series. i couldn't find much info on 'Groupe Talibe' on the american web, but from what i can tell, this tape was recorded and mixed by a guy Tapha Thiam who's worked with Super Diamono in various incarnations. the more i dig into this stuff, the more obvious it is that most of the senegalese & gambian music we have limited access to over here in the states was made by essentially one massive, constantly-changing conglomorate of club musicians, producers, and promoters. everything i've posted thus far has been found by researching various members & associates of Star Band, Etoile, and Super Diamono. makes you wonder how much else there is out there...
there's conflicting info on the date this tape + it's accompanying second volume were released, btw - some sources claim 1995, others claim 2003. there's very little verifiable information for most mbalax music on the american web as ive said many times now, and so its hard to tell what date is correct. i'm erring with 1995 for this upload, but if anybody has any info to prove otherwise please let me know.
