I bought the same kayak from Costco on sale; also have a hobie with a mirage drive. The stiff steering is my only real complaint and a mod is needed. Other than that the boat is a lot of fun and I like taking it out more than the Hobie if I am going light.
I got two of these kayaks and ended up giving away the first one to a friend and it was the same color as yours and the second one a blue they didn’t come with the foam or the safety container like you got with yours and the first one had a black propeller and the second one the orange propeller and the second one came missing bolts for the seat so haven’t even put that one in the water yet plus’s got too busy working to take it out but will be going to lows to get new bolts for the seat to take it out and do love this kayak for what it is and the price
This was a good video man. I enjoyed watching you put your kayak together. That is a nice kayak you got too. It looked so easy to put together too. I am looking for a pedal drive kayak for fishing but I having problems with the pedal on the kayak. Question do you know how wide the pedal are? The problem that I have is I have big & very very Extremely wide feet 🦶 sz15 6E wide ( which is very very extremely wide ) with very chubby fat wide toes that are Evenly straight across making my foot very very Extremely wide at 6 1/2 inches wide from my big toe to my lil toe. My feet 🦶 will not stay on the pedal because of how wide my feet 🦶 are. It suck having Extremely wide feet 🦶 that are 6 1/2 inches wide. I have to kayak barefooted 👣 because of this. So i am looking for a pedals drive kayak with wide pedals on it. P.S. man it cool to see your toes almost looks like my toes do. I like how your toes are spread out at a 45° Degrees angle. I wish my toes were at a 45° Degrees angle like your toes are Instead of being Evenly straight across. I can't wear shoes , socks , or boots because of how my toes are Evenly straight across. Shoes are made for toes that are at a 45° Degrees angle not for toes that are Evenly straight across. I can only wear flip flops 🩴 which barely & i means barely fit on my feet 🦶 because my toes are wider than the flip flops 🩴 straps. I also like your flip flops 🩴 tan you have. I have a flip flops tan all year long. Good video buddy thanks you for sharing it.
It does happen, I just take it out and clean the propeller as I go, pulling out the grass. For me its only part of the season that it's a problem, when the grass gets longer. I paddle through the sections with the grass.
Good but could be better. Depends on your use case. Sits low in water, so water gets in, especially if you're heavy. Scuffer plugs will need to be replaced. Feet rest far away from seat. Heavy to transport and lift. Ergonomics seem to be for a skinny guy with long legs. But then it would be too heavy for him to lift it. For occasional use, I would get a smaller, lighter, easier to transport kayak.

Can you pedal in 'reverse' in this one?
yes you can peddle in reverse and the kayak will go backwards.
Oh Oh - this guy is in Canada !!!
Hi Buddy! Did you experienced the penguin fin propulsion system gets stuck with water grass? and what should be done?
It does happen, I just take it out and clean the propeller as I go, pulling out the grass. For me its only part of the season that it's a problem, when the grass gets longer. I paddle through the sections with the grass.
Bonito Kayak saludos desde Málaga @ disfrutarlo es de lo mejor del mercado en €$
Good or not ?

How much did you pay for it?
I believe it was $1699 - $300 off on sale + Tax. I used a gift card for $100. So in the end I paid ~$1500.
