Factual error at 3:12 if my hindi is correct, Punjab's 90% rice is procured, Govt's 90% procurement doesn't come from Punjab. Punjab has been the largest doner to central rice procurement with AP + Telengana a close second.

From school my juniors, my classmates, my seniors have gone to Canada. I did mechanical engineering from PTU affiliated college and our own professors would tell us that the syllabus is outdated and if you get to work in a company for free don't let it go, you'll learn something and could get better jobs. So did 1 year GME course and like my father I will be joining merchant navy, but i never wanted to go abroad, I wanted to stay in my country no matter what.
Education system needs changes, agricultural policies needs changes,
If everyone will leave then who is gonna ask for these changes? Vote is our right and we have to use it wisely. For all the states having election in few days, vote wisely.

Some of my friends who even though were good at sports chose to move out just because they could. They simple motto is: "I would do driving there, but won't do desk job here in India". Actually the job situation in Canada is much more worse. Canada has liberalised the immigration rules since Justin Tradue was elected as PM. Hundreds of thousands of skilled jobless people have applied through for PR in Canada from across the world, with the majority from India. I used to live in Calgary and there I saw a guy who left his otherwise good job as a territory manager for Idea cellular in Noida to sell credit card in a shopping mall, just to chase the 'Canada dream'. He told me that if he would not get a proper job in six months, he would go back to India and was thankful that he did not brought his wife and kids to Canada. Unlike the US economy, Canada's economy is much more sluggish and skilled professional jobs are hard to come by. A recruiter friend of mine working in Randstand told me that for a single job, thousands of application are received and most Indians don't have 'Canadian experience' to qualify and for getting a 'Canadian experience' you need a job. Many get trapped in this vicious cycle and end up choosing professions not of their choice. The wages are pretty low compared to US wages for the same job profile but on the plus side you do have a free healthcare. For those from core engineering branches, think twice before doing masters from Canada, choose US or Europe instead and for those coming from software/IT backgrounds, the sector is already saturated with mass migration from US during Trump era.

It's true that in Punjab, the opportunities of employment is very few. But we can also help others by creating employment opportunities. I want to be an entrepreneur and wanted to help the youth.
Punjab has a rich allivial soil which contains minerals such as phosphorus, iron and magnesium
If correct agricultural policies are implemented in a right way, it can create a drastic change. Finished goods are more profitable and expensive as compared to raw ( unfinished) goods.
Also the youth of Punjab is hardworking and loyal.
I just pray 🙏 to God that Punjab become a rich and prosperous state and help it's country to increase it's GDP and economy.

I do acknowledge the fact. Yes, many people go abroad for these reasons but being a Punjabi I could fairly say that now it is more of a trend. Many people go abroad because their such and such cousin or friend went and even the elders say that one person from the whole family should be settled in abroad as it is seen as an act to be proud upon. As in my case, my mother sees a lot of my batchmates and cousins going abroad after the 12th. I'm a JEE aspirant and am planning to take a drop but my mother encourages the idea of going abroad and avoiding the hustle even though we belong to the lower middle-class community. Job opportunities are very less in Punjab, but if someone is capable enough then they will get a job in good cities in India like Bengaluru and Hyderabad, and nearer we see cities like Delhi and Noida and of course Chandigarh. I believe that provoking the idea of abroad generally makes a student avoid hardship (not in all cases). Moreover, if someone is in their late teens and very early twenties and going abroad, doesn't that mean that they never tried to get a job or prepared for an entrance exam in a very passionate way (though depending on the situation)? In contrast, job opportunities are very less in Bihar in comparison to Punjab but students involve in massive hard work and revolutionary mode with a monk mentality to crack UPSC. Though that is not the only solution and sticking to it is also not the best option but similar steps could be taken by a person before the abroad plan if it is for a job in many cases. It also maintains a zeal and develops competing skills in the students of a state and helps in the growth of the country as a whole.

In Canada they were going there to do minimum wage jobs but the best thing about the west is that they have a wage system which also means that they will get a fair income for there work input.

As a Punjabi/Ludhianvi living in Adelaide, Australia, I agree with your views. The job opportunities in Punjab are a few and far between. I come from a middle class family, like most of the Indian youth, I couldn't get enough marks to secure admission in IIT/NIT and completed my graduation from Panjab Uni.
Since I would not get a job that pays more than 20-30k, my paths were clear. Either invest 20-30 lakhs in a business which would have most likely failed or spend that money on going to Aus.
I'm happy to say that I made the right call and chose to invest in my education. Just 2 years after landing in Australia, and after completing my masters, I had a job in IT that pays me 44.5 lakh inr. I do some part time tutoring that pays another 12-13 lakhs. I'm just 24, and I couldn't have dreamt of making somewhere even close to this kind of money in India. I can now afford to live a life where I don't have to worry about my finances all the time. No way, I could have earned this much in India, if I lived in punjab, Highest package I could have got was 8-12 Lakhs per annum, otherwise, we have to go to bangolore/delhi for higher packages. That too, I guess is 20-40 Lakh per annum, only.

One big reason is the one you missed, during militancy period a lot of punjabis went abroad as it was back then. Many had relatives living their whom helped them leave the state and then they never came back. Most of these were Jatts whom are the richest in punjab and only those could establish new businesses here through investment. The bigger concern was for those who didn't own any land to do agriculture thus they were left with no option other than tom leave the state. When they thought about leaving the state and working outside it was more or less the same because getting any good job required getting admission in a good institute which were expensive not only for fees but due to corruption the only way one could get a seat was through bribery. So ultimately the cost of studying and getting a good job was comparable to abroad and other states. So punjabis chose foreign countries for their future as they were great in terms of life quality.

Migration happening out of Maharashtra is not same as migration happening out of Punjab. In Maharashtra mostly upper middle class or rich migrating outside India only for the opportunities which they think they can’t get in India. Crowd migrating from Maharashtra is mostly a student class belonging to upper middle or higher class or the professionals belongs to some niche industries. Maharashtra still being one of the largest state in India managed to provide good employment opportunities within a state. I am an IT professional who migrated to Hyderabad few years back for better opportunity. But, when I realised Pune is now offering package as much as Hyderabad or Bengaluru I came back to Pune. Maharashtra is also very well diversified and offers jobs almost every other industry be it Manufacturing, IT, healthcare, finance, Agriculture, etc. So migration from Maharashtra will eventually go down in future which is not the case for other states.

Punjab's infrastructure is going to rapidly improve in Punjab over the next 5 years. I can list 4 projects which will change infra for better-
    Roadways-
    1. Amritsar- Jamnagar expressway
    2. Delhi-Amritsar-Katra expressway
    3. Ludhiana-Bathinda-Ajmer expressway
    Railways-
    1. Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor (Ludhiana to Kolkata)
Add to that many Central schemes like Nal se Jal yojna, Ujjwala Yojna etc. Central Government to a large extent has done it's role due to this.
Now it's upto State Government to start focusing on 4 broad things-
    1. Crop Diversification. Haryana had in 2020 launched 1 scheme since it too was facing depleted GroundWater Shortage problem. The results have been pretty good. Other than this instead of dulling out freebies like Electricity, Water which will further deplete your little revenue, focus kn bringing in Direct Benefit Transfer for Electricity, Water, Fertilizer subsidies. This is an area where all Political parties will have to ensure that all are at the same page & don't use reforms as a tool to gain political brownie points.
    2. Developing Special Economic Zones & separating those Land Banks & reserving them only for Industries. Make sure they're connected well & have regular supply of Electricity & Water. On the other hand as far as IT sector promotion is concerned, Punjab should develop Mohali as an IT Hub like Gurgaon.
    3. Administrative Reforms with a special focus on cutting down Bureaucratic Red Tapism. Join the National Single Window clearance system. Be more proactive in bringing industries by giving them faster approvals, Land, Electricity at cheaper rates. Cooperate with Central Government in implementing the National Education Policy & other schemes to help skill the youth. Don't unnecessarily oppose for political gains (to whichever party comes to power in Punjab).
    4. Lastly Improve the Transportation system with the cities. Punjab requires Mass Transit system. Important cities like Ludhiana have no transit system. Even Amritsar which has a Bus system is facing losses & is actually contributing more to traffic jams. Cities like Ludhiana & Amritsar require proper Metro systems. With faster transportation these cities & their bordering areas will attract more companies.

My mom is a single parent ....my dad left my mom when she's 2 month pregnant and that's an arranged marriage. When my mom lodged complaint against him .....nothing happened but all my mom savings got wasted.... people used to say that court cases dosenot cause money but in reality it did cost a lot of money.....in this neet I have a chance if getting Pvt clg seat through govt quota but the fee per annum is 7lakh ......how can I pay that money with my mom's salary?.....but for the same mark for a govt school student will get govt seat in the state's top medical college through special reservation for them and govt even pay the Pvt clg fee for them......my aunt's annum income is nearly 30lakh even their children also studying in govt school because they can get through this special reservation......at the end if the day government did not punish my dad who left me and make him to financially support my mom for raising me........they did not ensure my mom and many other Pvt institute teachers getting rightly paid.....if any one of these had happened ,me and my mom would be living a financially and emotionally stable life in this society but then at the end of the day nothing happened.

Its really sucks being in that condition… the reason why the youth is going abord is well explained in the video. I wanted to serve in civil services.. I had a potential to clear mains just because of reservations I couldn’t make that out of 190 seats 50 seats were reserved.. no offence but people who get reservations get a chance to write exam unlimited times while a person from general category can only make 4 attempts. Is that fair according to you ? Indian GDP is in negative who is responsible ? Law and order has no values ? Politician bring religion into the matter when their vote bank is under consideration. 30% of indian population is below poverty line who responsible ? please give me a vaild answer for all the questions I’ll return back to india 🙏🏼.
In punjab old age pention is 750rs/ month we pay taxes in every commodity we use. But we don’t get anything in return from the government. No doubt we pay taxes in canada too 2x more than India but we get facilities in return. Old age pention 1200-1500$ per month, education , family health care, cab facilities free of cost. During corona panademic we got $2000 from government because all the jobs were paused.. what did Indian government gave ? I would repeat again nobody wants to leave their home… we are forced by the policies to do so. If we try to raise the voice against the unjustice we are classified as “terrorist”. For people like you who can’t see anything beyond BJP, Hindutva, anti-Sikh agenda, please know similar sentiment can be seen for monopolies here in the US. There’s a difference between corporations and oligarchies. Jeff Bezos provides largest online retail services, Elon Musk has Tesla, Bill Gates revolutionized tech industry. What product do your favorite corporations like Adani/Ambani have? Resources of India? Punjabis are intelligent than you to understand this. Anyways if you feel good about yourself by indulging in anti-Punjab sentiment, go ahead, be my guest. The joke’s on you. Live your sad little life.
