So did I. The ogres died and didn't do a lot of damage but did hold the patrol's attention. Shadowheart kept healing my main and Lae'zel and helped keep the patrol on the ground with silence. Gale whacked them with shatter and magic missile. Ami Xp certainly makes it look easy. Nice.
I can't resist killing them for the +18 int. Every time I've summoned them they have been useless, in one case even running away from the fight, for no apparent reason lol.
I am playing this game since it was released. Even with Lae'zel, I manage the battle. With patch 5, I am playing this game as D&D rules designed for combat. Fighters can not use scrolls, spellcasters performed only one spell in a turn, scrolls can be used only if it is a class spell etc. You can check my other video guides too made for earlier versions.
Dude please... You use all those potions I just stayed in stealth and summoned like 50 imps as a warlock to attack from invisibility lol.... #allwayssaveitems
probably for the game to give the player more then 0% to survive, along with them going out to report back to their leaders and of course they underestimate you and assume you'll be destroyed quickly
Yeah, nerf and remove backstab advantage and leave casters useless bless/magic missile bots while leaving fighters and menacing strike untouched and ignoring the fact consumables nearly double to triple your damage output. Horrible combat design and game balance. Give me back my Divinity combat.
Baldur's Gate 3 is the best game of 2020 for me even in early access. Spellcasters can never match battlemaster or Paladin. Check out my Solasta video guides to increase your knowledge about DnD & video games.
this is fairly accurate for early game casters. thats why there are alot of items to improve caster abilities in this. also flanking rules as you talk about are optional in DND and they are clearly testing out different options for rogues since they are already very strong given how stealth works.
@@t3rr0rxlr66, depends on your play style really. Considering it's a game and not Table top, I'd assume battlemaster is better, as you're going to be having more than 1 combat situation between each rest most likely. If you balance them out as both level 4, both human, no multi class, Battlemaster is on top imo. Slightly less health, but has a heal. Higher AC so not hit as often Crits on 19-20 Can take an additional action once per rest and if using the same weapon as a base, they have the same average damage output (great weapon fighting style). In theory Berserker sounds better on paper, because slightly better HP, 2 attacks, self advantage, resistance to physical damage, but as I showcased above: Still have same damage as Battlemaster even though can have 2 attacks, Less AC so hit more often, which somewhat negates/evens out the resistance and something to take into consideration as this is a game: exhaustion. After a barbarian loses their rage, they gain a level of exhaustion. So if you're having multiple fights between each rest, this is bad for the barb. They either have to stack exhaustion points and inch closer to death from it, or not rage during fights, which would dramatically decrease their damage potential. This isn't taking into account feats, so can be subject to change depending on that, but this is just the general overlook on them.
I managed eventually but damn it took a while; the loot made it worth it.
Nicely done! Thank you! 👍 I now play githyanki mostly fighters.
I used the ogre warhorn. Dramatically helped in this fight. Still won despite my main character getting downed in the first round 😂

Strikes me though that if you have Laezel with you it is that much harder because she needs to talk to them.

where did Druid’Nae come from?
LAN multiplayer. Custom character.
@@amixp2745 thank you
OMG you didn't use explosives, well done! I kind of wonder what happens if the encounter starts with a flaming sphere rolling up to the githies.
Why on Earth would the Red Dragon leave that fight?!?!

Or...just use cheats...

Wow it's almost like the game is in this early access stage where they're testing stuff and figuring out balancing for combat and whatnot.
