I propose this. Stewie and Brian go back and time and do something in order to retcon the whole series and do it the way it should have been done from the beginning, never straying from its roots. I miss this voice of reason version of Brian
The old seasons are not this masterpiece of comedy that some people like to claim they are. A lot of the episodes are pretty boring and it has the same issue as the newer seasons where the show doesnt stick to a story and just exists to string together as many cutaway gags and pop culture references as possible, a lot of which are hit or miss. Only a few episodes of the older seasons are actually pretty good and the characters are more likeable overall than their newer counterparts but the show has never been this amazing feat in comedy.
I thought that was crazy too, I have a conspiracy that Seths manager got a threatening phone call by Al-Quaeda so he scheduled Seth for that flight and 9/11 only happened because of this joke right here

I still think Brian was the subject of genetic experiments a la' _The Secret of NIMH_ . Like, maybe Biscuit was injected with a gene-altering substance while she was pregnant that turned out to only affect one puppy, which was why he was the only one taken, and the experiments were traumatic enough that he blocked them from his memory. It would explain the 'my eyes had barely opened' line, as puppies need to stay with their mother for much longer than that.
That would make sense if not for the fact that there have been several other humanoid dogs over the coarse of the series, both related and unrelated to him.
