I was born and raised in Torrance. About 4 years ago I moved here to the valley and I have to say, I miss the hell out Torrance. I plan on moving back there some time in the future.
Grew up in Torrance in the 60s and 70s graduated from Torrance High class of 79. Moved away in 1981 after becoming a roadie with the biggest band in the world never ever to move back to Torrance.. family and friends still there
I was born and raised in the Torrance area where I lived there from 1978 until 2006 and I never forgotten about my old hometown of Torrance, California and I used to go to school in different towns until I went to middle school and high school in the 1990's and now I'm in my later 40's and I live in Athens County Ohio for a long time since 2006
I tried to ask someone about street folks wouldn't answer me not directly anyways change the subject oh well I would like to stay in torrance if it weren't too expansive for me
Yup and i think that’s a good thing. If you’re able to afford to buy a nice home in the better areas of Torrance-you can show your kids some areas that are considered ghetto and dangerous that are just a short drive away. So they won’t become spoiled brats lol, or just live in a bubble their entire life. Because west/northwest of Torrance you have Manhattan/Redondo beach and south of Torrance you have PV, some of the nicest areas in southern california. I think it’s in a perfect spot tbh
This video is apperantly old. The schools are not top ranking I would give them a 1 star. My daughter sits in class learns nothing because the history teacher instead of using a book and reading she plays a "rock game" and the kids get candy to teach them about the mideval period and she wont give them the book because quote "its too heavy" and the tests are riducolus " What is the teachers biggest pet peeve?" that isn't related to any history! And the English they write without learning grammar or vocabulary. And the teacher is too lazy to correct the papers and she doesent tell my daughter that her sentence is grammatically incorrect, so their writing just to learn the format and she gave my daughter English workbooks for learning vocabulary and comprehension and she told the kids to leave them in the locker until she wanted them and she never worked in them when I saw them I knew these where really great books that the teacher was stopping my child from using so they wont learn. Lastly science she has the books wont give them to the students makes them sit looking at a computer all day doing nothing but playing science games. And this is all in middle school. So I transferred my child to a Christian school and they have tests every week almost everyday so that my child would study and get used to it. They have competition like who gets the highest grade on a test that makes them eager to study. They study grammar and vocabulary before writing. There is a huge difference between the public school and a private one. Lastly on the last day at my daughters old school the teacher told her "this is better for you. A better opportunity than a public school. Here we don't really teach as well and that her daughter also goes to a private school" so all the teachers know that what there teaching is fake and they get money for nothing.
Lmao ya I’ve been considering moving here! Right next to the beautiful oil refinery that lights up the sky like Area 51! It’s decently affordable though and centrally located to other cool beach areas. Seems safe compared to most places in CA
