Does this strategy with the battery work in earlier versions of this minigame? Because I don't think so... Also since you said you are going for Leaf Leap next. What is the limit of Leaf Leap in Jamboree? It can't be 180. Maybe 150? Also is using external tools like a battery generally considered legal by the community?
Here in Superstars it's 180 (my current PB is 177, so 1 jump away), I think the best that has been done on Jamboree (in the Mario showdown minigame) is 147. I've not tried using a battery on the version on 6, only one way to find out. You'd need much bigger motions because of the gamecube controller at least. I don't think anyone has said anything against using stuff like a battery, the same can be done with a finger (but I think people are still using stuff like a t-shirt, cloth or something similar). If it's something the community is against, I've at least been open and added in the description that I've used it.
