I’m with Vivian. Who needs all this extra stuff just to do laundry? Our water is not the best, so to get extra soap out of the clothes, I just pour in a little white vinegar in the rinse dispenser. Much less expensive; and we buy white vinegar by the gallon-I use it for so many things.
I gave up all the laundry extras and went back to using washing powder. I gave away a new Maytag washer (junk) for my mother's 15 year old Kenmore and you talk about getting your clothes clean. Just like the good ole days, simplicity is good y'all.
YES YES YES! We had an old kenmore top load washer and the spin cycle was noisy AND shaky but man the clothes were CLEAN. Now have a supposedly good digital one that just barely sloshes water around and has such a gentle spin clothes need extra dry time. With this washer pretreating stains even tiny ones, is a MUST if you want clean clothes. Nothing like a good ol washer from late 79s early 80s.
Save your money. Soak any item of produce in a large bowl of water with one fourth cup of white vinegar for 2 minutes. Set a timer. Much cheaper, non-toxic and kills germs and mold spores.
I tried the Homebright Lime and Calcium on one toilet and Lysol Toilet bowl cleaner (also from Dollar Tree) on the other, both with about the same level of toilet ring. The Homebright removed almost none of the toilet ring. It took 3 times using the Homebright to get the ring to even be reduced 50%. The Lysol Toilet bowl cleaner got rid of it immediately.
The pink paste is my new all time favorite laundry spot cleaner. I scrub the spot with a toothbrush and the pink paste wash as usual. I had a year old coffee spot and tried the pink paste on a whim ….spot 100 percent gone 🎉

I use the Downy rinse and refresh on my husbands outdoor work clothes, and don’t use fabric softener or scent beads on those loads. I also use in on loads of towels. I love it. It’s just pricey.
Vivian I use Lysol Laundry Sanitizer in the washer. It states on the bottle not to be mixed with laundry soap? Huh? If u put it in at the start in a front-load H E washer it runs right thru and directly into the washer. So I add it to the rinse cycle IF I can remember! Works great on musty or mildewed clothes! Great price at Costco!
I saw an appliance technician explain that the Downey rinse is safe for the machines and prevents the mildew smell in case your along with being an odor buster. I love it for my wash because it doesn’t leave a film like softener. Ocean Mist is the scent I jive with
I work at a restaurant and I had used the downy one for my work clothes and it's a game changer because the scented beads sometimes don't dissolve completely and my uniforms are black so they come out with a white residue. Love the Downy rinse but will definitely try the DT one
I stopped using fabric softener a couple years ago. I use laundry soap, downy rinse, beads, and laundry sanitizer. My laundry feels cleaner, and stays fresh smelling for weeks.
I agree. Fabric softener actually makes items like towels less absorbent. It coats one's items with chemicals. They have wool/plastic balls that one can use in the dryer that fluffs the clothes, etc, no chemicals :)
I just wish our dollar tree would stock there shelves, holy moly I’ve never seen more boxes and the shelves are empty! Plus the shelves need a major clean up! Now I have ones that are nice but I have to drive a ways! Love your videos! ❤
Studies say that washing vegetables and fruit and water gets off most pesticides etc. But don't wash things like berries, grapes, till you want to use them or they will absorb it, and they get mushier faster, more so with berries.
Fabric sheets saves clothes lives lol especially when you live in a small apartment style building that only has one laundry room with one washer & dryer meaning every single time my neighbors wash their blankets anything their dogs have laid their musty body's on leaving that very specfic dog odor. That very specfic dog od0r is so powerful it stays behind in the dryer so when I gotta throw clothes in the dryer the only way the clothes always come out smelling fresh over smelling like left over dog odor from the dryer is by using dryer sheets it never fails always works like a charm and always leaves the dryer smelling back to normal as a added bonus..
@@melaneymattson3733 I used to do this and still do for some pet accidents but the Downey rinse really does work amazing, takes away all smells (hubs and sons work construction and it has them smelling all kinds of fresh), and leaves clothes looking great
I love the Downey Refresh... It takes that mildew-esk smell out of towels ....can't wait to see if DT works as good cuz brand names is pricey but worth it...
I finally found the fruit wash and I bought 3 bottles and I like it! I washed some peaches I bought and I felt like they were cleaner than just washing them with vinegar!

I use lemon water to wash my veggies and fruits, or vinegar and water, works great 😊 The thicker ones usually like you said take less soap, especially if it’s concentrated ❤
I saw the DT "veggie wash" yesterday and the ingredient list was full of chemicals and was similar to dish soap. I actually thought they put the wrong product in the bottle. Not wanting to replace dirt with chemicals.
I'm a big fan of the downy rinse I've gotta say. I only use it with towels because I don't use fabric softeners with them but it makes a difference. My towels were kinda...meh. I started using this and they're fluffy and super absorbent again. Like I'm sure vinegar would do the same thing but I love clean laundry scent and shoving a hot fresh soft towel that smells so good in my face after a shower...yep.
Just wanted to mention something but also love your videos. The yuka app tells you the breakdown of products and tells you if its good or bad with the ingredients. I bought the native dupe body wash from DT and it flagged it as bad but says the Native brand is good. It shows the breakdown of the chemicals and tells you what they can do. Anyways just a tip again love your videos and think you are hilarious!

I just bought the dish soap yesterday and used it today. I really like it a lot it seems to work well. I love the scent and that it's a plant based detergent.
I will have to say just started the video and in a household that has 4 MEN who work construction, that new Downey refresh is the best thing for odors I have found. If the DT one is just as good please let me know bc it is pricey!
Hi Vivin, Thanks for yet another great video. My mom taught,me to soak my fruits and veggies in a big bowl with ice and water for about t to 10 minutes...it has always worked well for me! 😘

All the stuff for clothes washing is mostly silly and unecessary, but the rinse I can see a use for. If you have hard water or a well (such as myself) you get a lot of iron and other minerals in the water that can makes your clothes still feel stiff and grimy. I usually use vinegar in the rinse cycle, but I would try the dupe if I see it.

I agree they make too much stuff for washing clothes . I just put laundry digrent and wash my stuff . I also don't think also those chemicals are good for your skin .
Hi Vivian from England. Here, I use detergent, fabric softener, washing sanitiser and I use washing soda. The washing soda helps with staining and cleans your washing machine. I also add Dr. Beckman dirt and colour collector sheets. They're small and when I do whites, I add a whitening sheet by Dylon. I don't have a dryer, so that is a saving. We mostly tend to air dry here and our washing machines tend to be in the kitchen as our older houses don't have utility/laundry rooms. In the far east they just add a little vinegar to the water to wash fruit and vegetables or baking soda ❤❤❤
You can use white distilled vinegar for your laundry, and to clean your fruits and veggies. It's much better for you than chemicals that can cause cancer. Love your videos, thank you for showing us this! 🙌❤️🤗
I put Dawn dishwashing soap on all of my fruit and veggies and it works great. I don't buy a lot of extra stuff I don't need just because it says it's for veggies or fruit because Dawn works.
I have used the rinse from Downey/ dollar store and they both are AMAZING when using it. I mean I will always have some one stop me and ask me what I am wearing. ❤❤❤
I think the rinse is supposed to be for an occasional use - smelly towels, athletic gear (polyester reacts with sweat) etc. When a regular wash isn't getting rid of the funk. Or, perhaps it's like the "cleansing shampoo" that is needed because all the other hair products build up over time, so this is to strip the other laundry products? I use laundry strips, and make sure my clothes are dry before they die in the folding pile (or go into the hamper). Dry clothes don't funk as much and vinegar or a steam wash gets the rest.
The Downy Rinse and Refresh is good for laundry. I haven't tried the dollar tree version. I would say that it is best on clothes like work out athletic clothing. Also, Lysol laundry sanitizer is good on the same type of clothes.
Heeeeeeyyyyy guuurrrllll! I love downy rinse and refresh. The scent lasts a long time. I’ll give DT a go. I usually use top rack in clean dishwasher with sanitize cycle. Wax and everything comes off. Thanks for all ya do!
Hi Vivian🙋🏼♀️!! Maybe put the Dollar Free veggie/fruit wash in a spray bottle with water to dilute and use that way🤷🏼♀️? You have to do rinse either one. I'm about saving $ in this economy.

Hey sis 😉 I really miss when u say " 1,2,3 go" but great products. I use the one for the wood floor. I live in a townhouse and we have faux wood flooring and it works great. Keep up the laughter and love 😊
Vivian- I just ordered Downy rinse and refresh from Amazon for that $12.47 price!!!!…it’s the same price at Walmart. Now you’re telling me it’s at Dollar Tree for a bargain! Dang! I got it because my daughter does her laundry at our house because her apartment only has the “ laundry room” and we all know how you can find that” fungalitis “ in those machines! Anyway- her apartment building is old and accumulations of cigarette smoke from all the previous tenants makes her clothes “stanky”! We tried every “ odor remover” out there…even vinegar didn’t work- but Downy Rinse & Refresh has made her clothes smell fresh again! And now I know I can save a lot of money by going to our favorite store! Thanks!
i tried the downy one from dollar tree and i could not tell any difference.. i like my scent beads better..lol CLR is the name brand for the lime and calcium remover.. it has been around since i was young and i am almost 60..lol
I LOVE the fabric rinse. I have found this same rinse at Dollar General and I grab it every time I find it. I have 4 bottles of it right now in my laundry room. It's only $1 at Dollar General, but if I find it at DT, I'll grab me some more bottles, because it's hard to find it DG.
Hello, I agree with you about the washing machine stuff. Don't use liquid softener or that new stuff from Downey, because it will ruin your washing machine, that's what someone told me, so take it with a grain of salt, just use dryer sheets or dryer balls😊
Score!!! Got another video from Vivian and great stuff on top of that!!! Yep! Vivian’s right. It’s enough to do the laundry as it is. If you start adding this and that, it’s too much work. But I love the new items coming out and that Vivian’s tried it and says YES!! That’s all I need to know!! Love me some Vivian tries ❤😊🎉
The rinse and refresh replaces the fabric softener, and it actually does work, if you got a man that works outside in the summer, YOU NEED THIS! I also found out using Persil Laundry detergent is the absolute best, its pricey, but definitely worth it, and you can use whatever fabric softerner you want, no more need for the Rinse & Refresh. Fruit and veggie wash actually works too, you can feel the difference in an apple when you wash it with some, but I think you can just use vinegar and it works just as good. Love your channel ❤❤❤!
Hey Vivian, I multi purpose multi task, I use scent beads in my wax melt thingy and they smell amazing and last forever. Love and Blessings☮️🙏🏼✝️🕊️❣️❣️❣️❣️
I also buy the cloth gift satchels they have in the wedding section fill them with the beads and hang them in My closets and hang them by my ceiling air vents to freshen the rooms
I LOVE getting notified that you dropped a new video! I absolutely love your spirit and personality. Would love having mimosas with you and chat. Thanks for brightening my day!
I have been using the Downey for awhile now. I don't use any other fabric softener. It takes out any smells that might linger from sitting around or in our case, we ride utvs alot. Some of the mud has a bad smell. I love it. I need to try these.
I like the Downey rinse, and just bought the Dollar Tree dupe. The wood cleaner worked well on my floors, but I think I'll use it on the dresser. The cleaner won't know the difference!😂
I have a large capacity front loading washer and dryer. I use half a dose of {scented} liquid detergent, baking soda and oxyclean because I have hard water, white vinegar in my fabric softener and bleach dispensers, and those wool balls in my dryer. Cheap and it works.
The rinse replaces the fabric softener. It really helps with workout clothes or pets smells. I usually do half fabric half rinse for me. SO, if it’s the same ingredients i’m stocking up on that. Did you see they also have detergent sheets now too; those are pricey. Haven’t tried mine yet but if they work it will save lots on detergent too.
We use the wood cleaner for all our cat digestion messes on our hardwood floors. It works very well. The only brand name I can think of is Lime-A-Way. It works well but it’s pricey, it doesn’t smell good. It is a very industrial cleaning scent and I use gloves. A bottle lasts us forever because in my opinion it’s for “special stains” I will try Dollar Tree next time.
The Downy Refresh is excellent, and because I have a dog (odors), use it in place of fabric softener, and it works. I tried the small sample in Dollar Tree (Vivian taught me well 😄) before buying the big bottle. Now that DT has the dupe, I'm all over it. As for the fruit and vegetable wash, it is very concentrated, so a little goes a long way. May I suggest pouring some into a spray bottle (maybe 1/3) and the rest with water. Shake well, and the original bottle will last for a long time.
I agree we need to pay attention to the thin skins for that very reason even tho banananas have thicker skin I still wash mines once in the peel and once out because I don’t play with the fungaliticitis

Hey sis 😉 I really miss when u say " 1,2,3 go" but great products. I use the one for the wood floor. I live in a townhouse and we have faux wood flooring and it works great. Keep up the laughter and love 😊
I LOVE the downy rinse! It gets the stinky smells out.
It's only $1 at Dollar General, but if I find it at DT, I'll grab me some more bottles, because it's hard to find it DG.
yes I bought it also and love it....
The generic one? Good to know if so!
@@jussagrl870 thank you for the info! I’m gonna look at my DG also bc we don’t get all the awesome things Vivian shows at my DT unfortunately
The lime and calcium cleaner I tried in my shower. It looked like it works. The smell is nice. It lingers for a bit fades away shortly after.
I love the downy rinse & refresh. I only use it on towels and bed sheets. We keep our laundry routine fairly simple. Soap, and a few scent beads.
The “Brand Name” of the Lime & Calcium remover is CLR, which is Calcium, Lime & Rust. You can get it almost anywhere.
I love Dollar Tree cleaning products! That's all I buy!
Hey Vivian, I multi purpose multi task, I use scent beads in my wax melt thingy and they smell amazing and last forever. Love and Blessings☮️🙏🏼✝️🕊️❣️❣️❣️❣️
That's a great idea ❤The Viv fam is so creative 🎉
Thank you
@@lorileewalters2018 thank you! I’m going to try this!!
I clean my sink really well and add water and hydragen peroxide to water and clean produce and rinse
Yes Vivian... lime and calcium remover.... the name brand is CLR
I use baking soda in water to rinse pesticides off my fruits, vegetables. Also use vinegar in rinse cycle for clothing.
CLR is the lime calcium removal
I have a large capacity front loading washer and dryer. I use half a dose of {scented} liquid detergent, baking soda and oxyclean because I have hard water, white vinegar in my fabric softener and bleach dispensers, and those wool balls in my dryer. Cheap and it works.
I agree, the wood cleaner and lime remover work so well. Been using them for a few months now.
I use the dollar tree hardwood floor cleaner on my wood Furniture. It cleans without any residue.
I absolutely Love the wood cleaner from the DT!!
Hahahah! I’m with you Viv! ENOUGH 💩 for the washer already!!
I agree we need to pay attention to the thin skins for that very reason even tho banananas have thicker skin I still wash mines once in the peel and once out because I don’t play with the fungaliticitis
