Thank you for sharing. I also found that they say things verbally about what constitutes tenure and then deny they said that. Its all political. I got my denial and its in appeal. I dont hold out much hope, and I feel like a failure. Im embarassed and ashamed. Im looking for jobs that pay into my retirement system. I keep praying that i dont become bitter.
I’m so sorry to hear what you’re going through. Go easy on yourself and keep in mind: this is a form of pain approaching (or simply being) a kind of trauma. So don’t judge yourself if the anger/sadness/etc persists longer than you otherwise would want.
The president sounded like a brick shy of a load. His comment about tenure is the exception rather than the rule was his attempt to keep costs down and ruin the quality of education.
