- In this video i road test the dji osmo 4 photography capabilities, It shoots 12mp and can shoot raw photos, so i thought i'd see how well it does on a rainy day in London.

Not bad at all, actually, pretty good. Suprising amount of dynamic range in that sensor. It's actually better than a lot of phone cameras in my opinion.

I use the self timer most of the time . The shutter button on my action 2 is quite stiff. The timer also allows me to change grip to avoid shooting my fingers.
I know it’s expensive but for stills the Sony RX0 is brilliant. Such a lovely light shutter release.

@@mikeosbourne Oh btw, Affinity Photo for iPad is great for Dji raw files. Couldn’t believe just how good they turned out. It’s particularly good at bringing out the shadows.

Are you manually dewarping the photos? Because the side by side comparison looks like you’re shooting in standard and ultra wide
The edited photos have been lens corrected in photoshop, the unedited haven’t been….
@@mikeosbourne ohhh I see, I also just saw your video about how to correct those, but what’s the advantage of doing this rather than shooting in standard mode instead?

Thanks for showing this. Just picked up the DJI Action 4. I have always used my iPhone 12pro for pics & videos, but with some upcoming trips. I wanted to get something to take better pics and videos. Just wondering how you find both the video & photo's compared to an iPhone? I am not a pro or knowledgeable in editing pics and videos. So any thoughts would be appreciated. Thx!!!
Tbh I sold my action 4 and I regret it… I loved both the video and photos.. it was so easy to use. I preferred it over iPhone. The photo editing needs more work but I think it’s worth it

Thanks great video, I just receive mine this morning but a bit disappointed because I don’t found any burst mode or any way to extract pictures of a timelapse or a video? Insta360 or GoPro have this modes.. Even my new Dji Air 3 have this modes.. 😞 do you know if there is a way to get these features on the app ?
Hopefully they’ll upgrade the software to allow this

Is there a handle with a shutter button that let's you take still photos instantly, without the timer or phone connection required? I have an OS trip coming up, first one in years, and considering taking one of these along.
Yep there’s a shutter button to shoot instantly, I usually set a timer
I have set the delay to 0.5 s and recommend that you do the same. The shutter button is quite tight and leads to camera shake.
Does the dji a4 have burst mode or something similiar?
I don’t think so 😩😩😩
So the only solution to this is filming in high frames and then take the photo in video🤔
In the action 4 touchscreen, could you touch to change focus point?
I have a GoPro max 360 I was wanting the GoPro 12 but been seeing the dji 4 which one should I get in your opinion
I’m hoping the 12 is a lot better than 11… I really like the DJI 4 though

wish they would make a Pano-Hero version for the Osmo Action4...
i have a old panohero-Mount (3d printed mount to make Pictures with gopro7black)
and the 360 pictures are WAY better, than with any 360 cam (under 2000 Euro) out there..
Much higher resolution
with the sensor of the osmo Action4, the higher dynamic range.. and 30megapixel --> that would result in something around 200 Megapixel 360 Panos..
that woudl be so great..
