If you are handy and have a sewing machine, you can make cloth napkins. I’ve also made my own place mats and other useful items with pieces of materials that I had on hand. When my kids were little I used to make cloth bags and use those at Christmas time especially.
Great tips! Two years ago I finally started budgeting for Christmas starting with the first paycheck in January. I put away $25 every two weeks from Jan to June. Then I increase to $50 per paycheck from July through Dec. Feels so good not to stress for Christmas. This year, I even have money left over. Woot! Woot! 💰 🤑
We had a free home energy audit done. Game changer! Not only was the audit free, but because our income was within their low-moderate income guidelines, almost all the upgrades they suggested were free, as well.
Leslie!!! Welcome to the frugal family! If you're looking for more, please click through my playlists. I hope there are helpful and I'm so glad you are here!
As far as groceries I pay 12/month for Walmart plus for deliveries. No it’s not cause I’m lazy!! It’s really useful to look at unit price, you aren’t rushed, you aren’t more inclined to just grab things, & you can see your cart number go up as you add groceries. It’s helped me stay inside my budget the entire 2021. To me the 12 bucks is worth the 100s I would’ve spent extra on groceries!!
I've been cooking meatless meals every other day for almost 40 years! A real money saver; especially when the cost of meat is inflated. Love your Christmas-sy sweater, Kate : )
I love watching frugal videos!!😍😍😍 I really want to step up my game this year!!! Cooking most of my meals on Sunday so that I don't have to cook on Monday is what I really want to do. Food waste, takeout, and laziness are some of the things I want to get rid of this upcoming year.
I never use my debit card since if it gets compromised your account can be wiped out. I use my credit card (you can dispute charges if necessary) but as soon as the transaction posts I pay it off. Also I save all my points from the card for the year and book my airfare home for Christmas using those points! I started fasting and only eat one meal a day. Saves money on meals 😉
I got my mom a keurig mini for $6 from target(super sale, and gift cards I earned at work) and FINALLY convinced her to start using the reusable keurig cup for the coffee grounds. Only thing she has to buy is the actual coffee. Next step is to have her buy coffee beans and ground herself but I’ll take this win because she was die hard disposable coffee pods. 🎉
A few years ago when I was laid off I was given a package from my employer. I was fortunate enough to be able to find work right away so I put that package into an interest bearing account. Every year I scoop the interest off the top and that becomes my Christmas money. It has been a total game changer for me because I don't stress about where I'm going to get Christmas money. I also don't touch that account because that's my rainy day just in case.
Regarding the tip about buying generic brands - my ex-father-in-law worked in a cannery and told me one time that they'd have a huge vat of green beans and use them for different brands. Sometimes there would be 10 to 15 cents difference per can at the store for things that came from the same container.
I feel like I'm rewatching this LOL. And I probably commented on the capsule wardrobe. And I vaguely remember saying I shop my closet to create the capsule. The capsule changes with the seasons. But I'm still shopping from my closet. And probably the only person who discourages throwing your clothes away or donating them quickly. It takes so much time and effort to buy clothes that you love and just because you get bored of them doesn't mean you should get rid of them. Put them away in the main closet and when creativity strikes you will look at those cloths in a different light. I do capsules every season because my mood is different. But I don't buy.. I just simply shop my closet. It's like an art 🤣 great video as usual. I love to watch you. Your fun and lighthearted. My type of people. Have a great day!
Happy frugal Friday, Kate and Kay squad! The one money saving step I did was, Cut the cord! Now I am saving $100 a month for something I was rarely watching, mainly only five channels out of 150 channels! I don’t even miss it! Everyone have an awesome and frugal weekend!
A few months ago, I found out that TUESDAY is the best day to shop at my small local grocery. They get a shipment on Monday and the shelves have been stocked by Tuesday morning. While I'm there I pick up the sale flyer for the next week which starts the next day, on Wednesday. During the coming week, I make a list of whatever I'm running low on and, before I leave home, I go through the ad and coordinate the sales with my "gettin' low" list. Works perfectly for me. Once a month, I order online for items that are less expensive to buy that way. (Walmart or Amazon.) Sometimes, it's for shipping to the house and sometimes for pickup. Either way, I make sure it's for free - with a minimum order of $35.
I realized by just simply making a list of groceries and sticking to it and not getting anything else out of that list is good. Online grocery shopping have a different price per item often inflated. The price online is not the same as the price inside the store. I have compared this many times. It is probably fees that add up for the person who’s doing the shopping for you. But hey , they are doing the job for you. Makes sense.
Grocery pickup is such a time saver. Our local Meijers and Walmart maybe have 2 cashiers at any given time even though they have 30 registers. They want you to do self scan. It takes forever to shop in store anymore. Order from your chair, drive up to the store, they load it in, you drive away! I have never had a problem with quality. At Meijers if you order over $35 its free to order online. AND no impulse buys! 😍
Going no spend January and low-spend the rest of the year. That's the best saving plan for me! Taking the savings right off the top on payday thank you! 💕🎄💕🤗💕
I did Rakuten for the first time and my total was $104 and I just got my cash back check yesterday for $49.48!!!!! I could not believe it!! I love it! Amen on free gifts and ditching manicure!! I get a manicure and pedicure ONCE a year… usually around this time of year… it helps me feel pampered and like it’s a real treat to myself… I have not done it yet this year but… I might lol I hate spending money on myself… but once a year makes me feel a little fancy and appreciate it so much more!
Yes, I stopped with the mani/pedis too. My husband treats us both twice a year at Christmas time and my birthday which is the beginning of Summer so it’s perfect. Otherwise, I trim and groom my own nails not as relaxing but I enjoy the savings.
Saving gas is number one for me and my husband right now. We do what’s called “batch errands” and only when there is an appointment we need to be at and then we follow that same route back home. Which often means I’m not going to my favorite stores, I maybe going to the Walmart I don’t like but that’s how it goes. So for an example, we had two appointments this month and those were the days we ran our errands and did our grocery shopping. We’re not getting out that much but that’s fine especially during these times and the holidays. I should also mention that we live 30mins from town and 60 mins from downtown. So far, for the month of December, we only spent $65.00 on gas😉👍 *my husband works from home.
I feel the way you do about using credit cards or the debit card versus paying cash for everything. Makes me much more accountable for it and easier to track! Setting a budget for weekly shopping for groceries is new for me I used to spend so much and just throw whatever I wanted in the car so that's been a huge good change for me! Great tips! Love your videos!
I have started grocery shopping every two to three weeks. I have a subscription to W+ from Walmart as I am disabled and don't drive. Getting out is hard for me, using delivery is the best option for me. Plus it eliminates impulse shopping. I do pay for You Tube TV streaming as I consider it my entertainment since I am pretty homebound.
I grocery shop every two months. I use three days to buy all the stuff I need and stay out of these stores. I am single, so I can stretch my food and other needs. I use what I have and if it runs out; I just do without it. I am saving so much money.
I just put in a pick up order at the grocery store. I agree, it saves me time, energy, and money because I don't see that bar of chocolate that caught my eye. That is one good thing that has come out of this challenging year. I also use Honey. I saved about 20$ just this week using it. I will be rewatching this video to make sure I hear everything. Thanks.
As a voracious reader, my library is a weekly stop! I can go online and search for a book I want to read and even if it's at another branch, I can put it "on hold" and they ship it to my closest branch for free!!!
Jan the goal is to get gas/grocery once a week....hopefully I can get it down to every other week in a few months. I agree that staying out of the store is a huge one. I went to the store the other day and stocked up on toilet paper, garbadge bags, laundry soap etc I am good for a year I think lol
Going to start budgeting...I have tried in the past but fall off the wagon. I am focused on our finances and Im making it intentional! Loved your video.
Thanks for making the point about using a debit card being more trackable in writing. I find that to be true for myself. I feel more accountable that way.
My husband and I have a finance meeting each week. we discuss what’s bills are coming up, goals, etc. It’s the only time we discuss $ and are always on the same page with what’s going on, no surprises.
Good morning and happy Friday! Buns is here and the show can begin. Love the way he just looks at you like you have the nerve ignoring him. Have a super awesome weekend everyone.
Hey Kate, Kaden & Mr Buns! There were some really great tips here, the one that I'd like to try at some point is the grocery pick up, it would definitely help save money not being exposed to all the other things you see while walking round and also remove any temptation to buy any food/ drink on the way out 😉
I love grocery pickup! Picked up an order last night. I have saved a bunch of money not going into the store! Saves me so much time and time is also money! Buns is so cute! Missed him talking on the video this morning.
I skip the cart at the store on the regular…especially Target! I also almost never impulse buy and leave things in my virtual cart a few days. A lot of times especially with clothes when I go back to “maybe” purchase, the item in my cart will be gone (sold out) because it was on sale. Almost always I’m a bit relieved because I didn’t need or even want said thing to begin with. New subscriber Kate! Loving binge watching your videos! Thanks 😊
I am with you sister. I get very stressed out trying to pull cash out at the check out while everyone is waiting behind me. I use my debit card too and record receipts as soon as I get home. I try hard to not let receipts to pile up so I don't feel overwhelmed trying to record tons of receipts.
I love going meatless, we eat a little different I guess. Many nights we have like charcutrie board. Cheese, fruit, veggies whatever we need to eat before it goes bad, also it doesn't make us feel heavy after dinner. Love these videos!
If u want a crock pot meal take cream of mushroom soup or cream of chicken soup discount meat of your choice then any extras like onion, peas ect let it all slow cook until the meal falls apart using a fork. On a plate if you wanna use bread then put the crock pot meal on top. It's better than it sounds
Oh my gosh Kate .. miss you I haven’t seen you in a while I had my birthday November . Christmas had pass & new year.. my gosh happy new year hugs to you & your son 💕
Great tips and it is so good to revisit some ideas we have heard before. The more you hear it the more you will do it! So true about staying out of the stores. I might try the grocery delivery. Thanks and have a great weekend!
This is my favourite time of year, because i save all year for Christmas and the 5 birthdays we have (inc. mine). It means it's the only time of year i don't mind spending money and enjoy doing it.
Online foodshopping really makes life easy and cheaper, you have a list with what you really need and that's all. No carrying everything, no temptation and the price is fixed. Happy frugal Friday ksquad! 🎄❤️🌟
This is not my experience. If I'm in the store, I can shop the Manager's Special sections and check aisles for clearance items. I can also switch out if I find something cheaper: say I was going to buy fresh Swiss chard and then find that store-brand frozen broccoli costs less per pound. These opportunities don't show up in online shopping menus. I enjoy shopping in person. It's a huge sensory pleasure for me.
@@SuzanneU you have got a point I miss the clarences, swiping for the cheaper discount or a new item for diataryneeds. But I just not feel free to check stores for fun or best price right now
Target has free pick up to car 🚗 So awesome !! Why didn’t I have this when I was pregnant with toddlers 🤣😂. Thanks for the awesome tips Kate Also- there are lists on Amazon so it’s so fun to have categories “books I want” , “Christmas wish list”, “dream cute clothes “, “home wishes” are some of my categories and I just send my list to hubby or whoever asks and boom 💥 instead of save later which lumps it all together
Good morning beautiful Kate and cute Buns!! I am joining the no spend January challenge!!! 2021 has kicked my butt. Lots of home expenses! As a matter of fact, today we are having a new irrigation system put in because our current one is old and leaking. That was $1800 that I wasn’t expecting to pay right before Christmas. 🙄 I love the grocery pick-up! If I decide to go to store myself, I still shop on my grocery app and stick to that list. That way, I know my total and I make sure I have all my digital coupons selected!! Keeps my accountable! I have recently adopted the simple meal philosophy! I don’t know why I haven’t done this before. We really don’t need as many food groups on our plate! Enough is as good as a feast!!! Have a wonderful weekend!! 😘😘😘
Store pick up or delivery has been disappointing in our area bc they are always out of everything but loved it the first few times when they had everything. It differently saves money.
We only have 1 gas station in the area 😆 We don't eat out, not even take out coffee... Only 1 grocery store where I live, no coupons allowed... And you can not order online or do pick up. I am starting our 4th year of low-buy/no-buy.
I went to Gas Buddy and in my area (Los Angeles) the cheapest gas at a regular gas station is 89c higher than my local Costco (2 miles away). I had not considered being a member as I am single and don't eat much but I just joined. The $60 to join is worth it for the gas, given how much we all drive and are stuck in traffic here.
While watching this I did a quick petrol price check (UK). In my local area I found a 7p a litre price difference, same forecourt, different town. That's a huge saving & by my very quick math I'd save an easy £80 a year just by filling my little car weekly with petrol from a different garage.
Here are two tips to add. I still do Directv but in the summer I call and have it put on hold from mid-May to mid-August and save money that way. No fees, etc. Volunteer at library sale. Get paid with as many free books as you like. So fun.
I usually meal plan around the sales and make a grocery list to go shopping with. We Definitely have meatless and cheap meals a lot. Beans are super affordable. Bean burritos and and bean Chile hello. I purchased wrapping paper after Christmas at 75% off haven't had to buy wrapping paper for 2 years so far, I just ran out. I use my debit card as well. If I keep cash I will spend it on my kids. Self care is important. If I could buy second hand first I will.
Hi Kate! I love your top, so pretty! I enjoyed all these money saving tips. I recently also did my first grocery and Walmart pickups and loved it! Such a time AND money saver! 😊
My Favorite tip is to use a capsule wardrobe. December is a good time to get rid of clutter and donate. You can get a tax deduction too. I like the 1 in 1 out concept for buying clothes or any new item
I agree with almost all those tips. Not all are for me but still great tips. The tip I do, from this list that actually saves me 100.00 each time I do it, is groom my dog. My little shih Tzu is a special needs dog and it would usually cost me about $100 if not more to have someone bathe her and cut her hair. This was mostly because not many people were willing to work with a special needs dog. So in order to save money I bought my own hair cutting kit dog grooming kit. The kit cost me only about $40 and it is a rechargeable cutter with all the attachments. One charge will last for several haircuts before needing to be recharged again. That's one of my biggest money savers from that list of 45 that you mentioned. The next money saver is paying for gasoline with cash. It's basically the only thing I pay with cash for. The reason being is that gas is cheaper if you pay for it with cash at least it is in my area. Right now gases at about 4.39 per gallon, or at least it was a few days ago but I do believe it is starting to go down. I also usually do not buy my own coffee outside of the house but on occasion I do but I keep it simple and the cost is minimal. And as far as groceries go for the most part I utilize the generic brands but as you said Kate sometimes generic just isn't good enough. I do love the idea of going meatless one day a week. In fact my personal preference would be to only eat meat once or twice a week and all the other days of the week keep it to something like pasta. Great tips. At the beginning of 2021 I decided I wanted to attempt a no spend year. Meaning of course only spending on necessities. Well I think I did pretty good for the first 4 or 5 months. But after that I started buying stuff again. It started slowly so I didn't spend a lot at first but towards the end of the year like right now I'm realizing that I really did spend a lot more in the last quarter of 2021. And yes some of it was via credit cards. So shortly after Christmas I intend to pay off my credit cards completely so I will no longer have interest being accrued and I am once again going to attempt a no unnecessarily spend year in 2022. I shall try to factor in birthday gifts for my children and Christmas gifts for my children into my budget and for my best friend. And if I manage to get back to work next year which I doubt due to a back injury but should I happen to get back to work I may have to factor in a little bit of therapy. You know the kind of therapy that is hot and liquid. But for the most part even if I go back to work doing light duty then more likely I will just make my own and take it with me in a double wall cup or in a thermos and of course pack my own lunch because you're absolutely 100% correct one of the absolute most expensive things you can do that can bust a budget is eating out.
Wonderful tips Kate! 👌🏻 I wash, groom and clip my dog's nails and he seems to prefer me doing these things to a groomer. I also make dog tug toys from my old t shirts and jeans when they have come to the end of their life which he loves instead of buying new dog toys for him. I'm looking forward to taking part in the no spend January challenge! 🙌🏻
@@valdamarielegault1907 Of course! I cut the t shirt across into 3" strips so they are long loops. I cut them open to make long strips. I use 12 strips to make one dog toy. I put the strips in bunches of 4 and put a knot about 3" in from the end of each bunch. I use the sleeve of the t shirts to cut a smaller strip and I tie all 3 bunches tightly together with the smaller strip. Then I braid them tightly together. When I get about 3/4 down the strips I knot each bunch and use another strip from the sleeve and tie all 3 bunches tightly together with the smaller strip. Then I trim off any excess just leaving a little fringe to match the top. They are fun to make and I hope you find this helpful! 😊
Good morning Kate! I will join you for the no spend Jan.😺. I love the challenges. Your videos are always very helpful for me. Thank you for taking the time to do them. Have a great weekend!!
I use Amazon cart to keep list of things i really want. Then use gift cards from bday and Christmas to make purchase. Fyi, everyone knows i want Amazon cards for gifts.
Pampering yourself is one thing but I am one of those girls that gets out of gets her nails dirty and they don't always get totally clean until summer's over. Lol I went one time to get a pedicure this year just because I was on the way to the podiatrist and I did not want her to see my calluses. Once in a blue moon I'll have this done but doing my fingernails is useless. I mess them up before I get home. I went to beauty school so I have cut my own hair especially when it was super short. Lots of these ideas that I find on these videos I'm already doing but one of these days I'll find a few more that I can actually do. I would cut cable but I live with my 90-year-old mother and that's the only thing she has to entertain herself. If Hallmark went she would die. Lol and yes I know you can get it on the streaming platform but you know old people and remotes you do not want to change. I think it's funny to hear that someone else does what I do with Amazon. That kind of gets that shopping high under control. As long as I don't push the button to look at my cart. I do this with other sites as well and it is hilarious to see how many emails I get trying to get me to finish my purchase. Oh by the way there's another good thing you could do. Unsubscribe from email lists for stores after you order from them. I do realize if you order something a lot like say from JCPenney's you would want them to send you the hey will give you 20% off of your next order things but I find that it is extremely tempting to want to buy something. I need to do this now because I ordered some things at Christmas and now I'm getting a bunch of emails. Lol Thank you so much for the video I just subscribed.
Happy Frugal Friday, KSquad!!! What a wonderful way to kick off the weekend. I am participating in No Spend January for the first time. New Year, new adventures…and I couldn’t be more excited (or could I?!)!!!
Pack an emergency lunch! I have a can of soup at work in case I accidentally forget my pre packed lunch!
If you are handy and have a sewing machine, you can make cloth napkins. I’ve also made my own place mats and other useful items with pieces of materials that I had on hand. When my kids were little I used to make cloth bags and use those at Christmas time especially.

Have or buy extra kitchen towels to save on papers towels. The same for napkins.

WHAT!? That is awesome!!! Thank you for sharing that with us! Wow!!!😍 That is so cool.
I'm a beginner at putting frugality into practice. I will start with a budget, and menu planning for the week.

Cash and as you said …you have the record in writing !
Great tips. I was a random budgeter. I've got one written down & have been sticking to it now. Hopefully 2022 will be a pay down mortgage year.

Exercising at home the frugal way fill a one gallon water jug and do curls or use canned food for building up muscles
Thanks.
Hi there! So happy to see you. Thanks for watching and thank you for sharing with us!
As a voracious reader, my library is a weekly stop! I can go online and search for a book I want to read and even if it's at another branch, I can put it "on hold" and they ship it to my closest branch for free!!!
I feel the same way about using cards vs cash. If I use a card the purchase is recorded in my statement but if I use cash it’s like it never happened💸
I love using shipt or the dinnerly or everyplate for food delivery. I found I save money because I don't impulse buy and waste food.
I love when you review articles! So Fun!
Jan the goal is to get gas/grocery once a week....hopefully I can get it down to every other week in a few months. I agree that staying out of the store is a huge one. I went to the store the other day and stocked up on toilet paper, garbadge bags, laundry soap etc I am good for a year I think lol
YASS!
Remember LED light bulbs,
and Furnace filters.
Girl, cash stresses me out, too. I don’t keep track of it well at all. Plus, I earn points on my card and get money back, and pay it off each month.
Going to start budgeting...I have tried in the past but fall off the wagon. I am focused on our finances and Im making it intentional! Loved your video.
Yes Deanna! So excited for you! Let’s do this!!!
Hi Kate I also go store pickup Saturday. If they don't have my own brand products they have to sub it 4 same price...love it!
Wow thank you for these great tips. I like how you explain you don't do the cash system. I dont like it either.
Thanks for making the point about using a debit card being more trackable in writing. I find that to be true for myself. I feel more accountable that way.
You are so welcome 🙏 me too❤️
My husband and I have a finance meeting each week. we discuss what’s bills are coming up, goals, etc. It’s the only time we discuss $ and are always on the same page with what’s going on, no surprises.
That's awesome Norma! So great to be on the same page.
Good morning and happy Friday! Buns is here and the show can begin. Love the way he just looks at you like you have the nerve ignoring him. Have a super awesome weekend everyone.
BHAHAHA!!!! That Buns!!! He's the sweetest! Thanks for watching Barb. So happy to see you. Have a great weekend!
Hey Kate, Kaden & Mr Buns! There were some really great tips here, the one that I'd like to try at some point is the grocery pick up, it would definitely help save money not being exposed to all the other things you see while walking round and also remove any temptation to buy any food/ drink on the way out 😉
I highly recommend it.
My eyes really opened to this option! I was like WOW that was easy!
I love grocery pickup! Picked up an order last night. I have saved a bunch of money not going into the store! Saves me so much time and time is also money! Buns is so cute! Missed him talking on the video this morning.
YES! I was so glad I tried it too!
Thanks 😊
T Holm! Welcome to the KSquad! I’m so glad you are here!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️
I am with you sister.
Mmmm! Love those!
I make iced sun tea i like it sweet so instead of adding sugar bad for me ill add a bottle of powerade its good for u tastes good
Oh my gosh Kate .. miss you I haven’t seen you in a while I had my birthday November . Christmas had pass & new year.. my gosh happy new year hugs to you & your son 💕
So good to see you!!!!!
I am doing home energy audit. Have an appointment next week. I'm excited. Cannot wait.
Your videos are great I laughed and enjoyed the tips
Thank you so much Sarah!
Great tips and it is so good to revisit some ideas we have heard before. The more you hear it the more you will do it! So true about staying out of the stores. I might try the grocery delivery. Thanks and have a great weekend!
Hello Dianne!!!! Thank you so much! Have a great weekend!
I never thought about this. Great idea!
We have a Christmas Club! The money comes out of my husband's paycheck and it is great because you don't miss it!
That's awesome! You don't even have to think about it!
This is my favourite time of year, because i save all year for Christmas and the 5 birthdays we have (inc. mine). It means it's the only time of year i don't mind spending money and enjoy doing it.
Jackie that's awesome!
Online foodshopping really makes life easy and cheaper, you have a list with what you really need and that's all. No carrying everything, no temptation and the price is fixed. Happy frugal Friday ksquad! 🎄❤️🌟
Definitely!!!! How are you doing? Happy weekend!
But I just not feel free to check stores for fun or best price right now
Absolutely love your channel! Was so happy to find your channel!!!
Thank you so so much! I'm so glad you are here!
Target has free pick up to car 🚗
So awesome !! Why didn’t I have this when I was pregnant with toddlers 🤣😂. Thanks for the awesome tips Kate
Also- there are lists on Amazon so it’s so fun to have categories “books I want” , “Christmas wish list”, “dream cute clothes “, “home wishes” are some of my categories and I just send my list to hubby or whoever asks and boom 💥 instead of save later which lumps it all together
So does Sam’s Club
Me too. It's that record of what I spent staring at me accusingly
I love the grocery pick-up!
YAYYYY!!!! Thank you for sharing with us Connie! Can't wait to start No Spend with you!
When buying large purchases, ask for a cash discount. Retailers don’t like paying the card fees.
Store pick up or delivery has been disappointing in our area bc they are always out of everything but loved it the first few times when they had everything. It differently saves money.
Good morning! Thanks for yet another great upload ❣️
Marciela, thank you so so much! Appreciate you being here. Have an amazing weekend and see you next video!
I think it’s good to use credit card, take advantage all the points and like cash back, mileage etc. then pay it back right away.
Picking up groceries is free here. Only delivery has a fee! And I love jusy getting what I need. No picking up extra stuff.
Oooh that is AWESOME Paula!!!
I love your tips/tricks and tools, but if I'm honest I'm here for Buns 🤣 I LOVE when he inevitable turns up lol
😻😻
We only have 1 gas station in the area 😆
We don't eat out, not even take out coffee...
Only 1 grocery store where I live, no coupons allowed... And you can not order online or do pick up.
I am starting our 4th year of low-buy/no-buy.
Coffee at home and packing my lunch are a must! For 2022 I need to do better meal plans lol
YASSS Wendy!! Awesome!
WOW! Thanks for sharing with us Zandra!
Great video! I just start it this journey too! The way this world is heading we better start learning how to be frugal 🙏
While watching this I did a quick petrol price check (UK). In my local area I found a 7p a litre price difference, same forecourt, different town. That's a huge saving & by my very quick math I'd save an easy £80 a year just by filling my little car weekly with petrol from a different garage.
Hi Rosemary! Thank you so much for sharing with us!
Can you make a video with your favorite apps? I would like to know what apps work for you and if you can share your savings on those apps.
Here are two tips to add. I still do Directv but in the summer I call and have it put on hold from mid-May to mid-August and save money that way. No fees, etc. Volunteer at library sale. Get paid with as many free books as you like. So fun.
I like using my CC then deducting it like I’ve used my debit card. Keeps it payable in full on time & has brought my credit score up.
Thanks for sharing with us Pamela. Have an awesome weekend!
Great as always Kate. I shall be doing no spend January and February. Love a challenge
YASS!!!! Looking forward to it!!!! Thanks for watching Frugal Stu!
Love this! Thanks Kenneth!
At our main grocery you can locate on the website ways to avoid the $4.99 fee for placing a grocery order online. Debbie
Hi Kate! I love your top, so pretty! I enjoyed all these money saving tips. I recently also did my first grocery and Walmart pickups and loved it! Such a time AND money saver! 😊
Thank you so so much!
Walmart doesn't charge for pick up. I schedule pick ups weekly. This is great for my introvert personality. 😂
AHHH!! Thanks for letting us know this!!!
@@KateKaden you got it! Covid had a couple blessings. Lol.
My Favorite tip is to use a capsule wardrobe. December is a good time to get rid of clutter and donate. You can get a tax deduction too. I like the 1 in 1 out concept for buying clothes or any new item
SKYE! I totally agree! Love this!
Happy Holidays !!
Happy Holidays Sara! So happy to see you!
The price on each item is more than in store when you do “online” and pick up.
Buns time!!!
My daughter trims my dog’s furs so that we can “stretch” another week before going to the salon 👍
Nice! I like that! Stretches it out a little. Have an awesome weekend! Thanks for watching!
Walmart grocery pickup is always free 🙂
Thank you for that reminder! I always forget that!!!!
Most places where kids eat free is 12 and younger …have a great weekend!!!
OOOH!!! Then we might still be in!
Great ideas!
Love these tips! Sodas or tea at a restaurant for 2 people will add at least $5 to a restaurant bill.
Thank you so much Susan❤️
H2O❤
Love the tips and your personal and well balanced approach
Wonderful tips Kate! 👌🏻 I wash, groom and clip my dog's nails and he seems to prefer me doing these things to a groomer. I also make dog tug toys from my old t shirts and jeans when they have come to the end of their life which he loves instead of buying new dog toys for him. I'm looking forward to taking part in the no spend January challenge! 🙌🏻
Great idea! Might you share how you do so? Thank you!😁
@@valdamarielegault1907 Of course! 😊
YAY! No Spend is almost here! We are going to ROCK it!
@@KateKaden I can't wait! 🙌🏻
Good morning Kate! I will join you for the no spend Jan.😺. I love the challenges. Your videos are always very helpful for me. Thank you for taking the time to do them. Have a great weekend!!
YAYYY!! Let's do this Sharon!
I use Amazon cart to keep list of things i really want. Then use gift cards from bday and Christmas to make purchase. Fyi, everyone knows i want Amazon cards for gifts.
I like your positive, hello from Moscow ❣ Marry Christmas 🎄
The cash thing is hard ever since covid, and I’ve had problems where I need to return a gift for someone and it is a huge hassle to return it!!!!
Been trying to decide to not have a car.. I live with 1 mile from everything I need. Groceries pharmacy church. Dinning options.

Happy Frugal Friday, KSquad!!! What a wonderful way to kick off the weekend. I am participating in No Spend January for the first time. New Year, new adventures…and I couldn’t be more excited (or could I?!)!!!
