      @@NerdPawn buying outright new is 8k $140 I believe for software monthly. They have refurbished for sale right now for 25% off which I think is a good deal. Also you can lease to own a new one for 3 years and it costs like 10k over the 3 years and an option to buy out early at a discount. They’d set up a time to talk about it for free and very quick. They’re out of Australia and I’ve had one for going on 3 months and it’s really helped sifting.

    Great to see new content! Random question regarding Automation. Are you still utilizing the scansnap scanner you previously made videos about? Been thinking of utilizing Card Dealer Pro but didnt know if it was functional with what you originally had. Looking into the Scansnap 8170 or something similar if it doesn't work with older ScanSnaps

    • @TCGBulkKings
      @TCGBulkKings  9 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I'm using a somewhat newer Fujitsu/Ricoh 6130Z, because my old ScanSnap ate itself x.x. There's no reason an older one won't work, you just have to be able to get photos/scans into the program. They've even got it now so that you can use photos from your mobile device

    Thanks for another great video. With the volume of bulk that you can acquire have you found the time to list the bulk that is below your sift value? I imagine using a tool to sift will let you extract something like 80% of the value with 30% of the work and if you always have a backlog of bulk to sift and list then it seems like it would never make sense to go through the remaining cards. Curious if you are building up a huge backlog of below the sift bulk and what you are doing with all of it?

    • @TCGBulkKings
      @TCGBulkKings  9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I have usually been able to sell any backlog of bulk to other businesses. I haven't ever had a lot of sifted bulk sitting around, I usually list everything I put work into, but I will occasionally have excess bulk that hasn't been touched (by me at least) that I sell off, with the only processing I do being to make sure that there aren't the wrong kinds of cards mixed in.

    Heyya! Interesting that you’re still using the cardbot. I had one for a couple of months that was rejecting about 30% of the cards as “unidentifiable” errors and then would get those it identified as incorrect another 30% of the time. After more than one update and several weeks of the bit basically bricked on my desk - I had my machine refunded. I spent more time auditing the scans within the web app than it would take to scan them via quicklist. I’m interested in your experience so far regarding auditing for errors and your pass/fail rates.

      @@toolfall I haven't had too bad of an experience. I'm not shooting for 100% accuracy with it, and I've got a lighting setup that works pretty well. For magic it's usually about 90+%, which is fine for my purposes. Slightly less for Pokemon, but still usable how I'm using it

    • @TCGBulkKings
      @TCGBulkKings  10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I'm not aware of any free services that will identify from scans unfortunately. If you're a level 4 seller and have access to quicklist plus through a pro account then that would probably be best. Card dealer pro could work for you as well, it's just a bit of spreadsheet wizardry you'll have to do after the scan/id step to combine it all

    • @mountainlifemagic3207

      @TCGBulkKings thanks for the input, I'm not concerned if I have to pay for some software or whatever. I did sign up to be a seller on tcg, but I know it takes a while to get leveled up. How complex is the wizardry we are talking about? Thanks again for the help. I have north of 500,000 cards that are mostly sorted i just haven't been concerned with value. I might have a lot of money just sitting there i could get rid of.

      @@TCGBulkKingsthank you. How much time per card does it save realistically? Don’t you still have to check the information that card dealer pro comes up with still for each card? Also does card dealer pro have a way to check your eBay to see if your posting a duplicate listing of a card? Let’s say you have 5 of a card listed but a few days later you go through another collection and end up getting a few more but forgot you posted it previously?

    quick question I've watched some of your video's and the one on the fujitsu s1500 helped me to mine to work. but i dont want to sell (yet) i just want to use my fujitsu to build a database of my collection so i can refer to it when deck building instead of manually searching. i know i can use some of the free apps on mobile but i really don't like using them enmasse it causes me back pain and joint pain to do the repetitive motions. I was wondering if you know of a tool that i can use with my scanner to just build a database or if there is any free to use ai api's i can put my card images through from the scanner to build the database?

      @@TCGBulkKings Thanks for the reply I'm tying to build my own categorization program with python so far it is working but only to do names it can figure out what set or printing a card is. so it works for what i want in a limited way that can be out putted to a csv. I would wish that there was a free or one time fee program out there in the TCG world that would allow inventorying ect. Only thing i need to do is figure out the high spots on the s1500 so i can sand them down because mine is scratching the cards.
