    Great video and coverage Doug, especially of the air attack operations and close up fire suppression by our brave fire fighters. Please stay safe and HYDRATE out there. You can easily become dehydrated in minutes during this kind of heat exposure. Be well and peace be with you!

    Some may think I’m crazy, but if you get 10 firefighters with leaf blowers on them you can get an effective fire line started. Sometimes it’s better than a waterline,hose and trucks.

    All because an idiot wanted to run his tractor and the tractor fire in this heat in a sensitive area put up everything in flames.. negligence at its finest!!! He should pay for all this.

Is there a a permanent tanker base at Miramar or just mobile base. Didn’t know they pumped mud out of there. Sorry for all the questions just from NorCal use to work at Redding ATB and around Alaska, thanks.

    Maybe people should clean up all the dead dry debris around their house and it wouldn't burn down. California just makes me wonder why they spend millions trying to put out a fire but spend nothing to prevent one

    • @DiogenesOfCa
      @DiogenesOfCa 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Simplistic approach, you don't understand wildfires here.

    • @cliff4695
      @cliff4695 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DiogenesOfCa you are correct. Where I live, we cut down dead trees and keep te brush under control. Seems pretty easy to me. The time to create a fire break with a dozer is before the fire happens, not in the middle of the damn fire. Then again I don't understand anything about California or there regulations or why anyone would voluntarily live there. Seems like a hell hole to me

      @@cliff4695 Fire break's don't work when it is windy, the fire jumps the break.
      If you clear too much brush you will get mudslides when it rains.

      It jumped a 10 lane freeway a few years back... just how much clearing do you think people can do?? With the heat and wind there's no way to stop it. There are things you can do minimize the chance of a stray ember starting a fire but if you're in the direct path not much can be done.
