It baffles me when tourists (especially Americans) go to the Vasa museum, look at the Vasa ship, from 1628, and think it's is a _viking ship_ . 🤯

My grandmothers father emigrated from the north of Sweden around in 1887 at the age of 23. He travelled on a home-made raft down the entire River Torne to Haparanda, then continued to America, where he became a cowboy. After 8 years, he had to return home, where his father lay on his deathbed. Someone was needed to take over the property.
A few years ago there was a song made about him and his journey. Rumours says he built the raft from the Swedish state owned trees 😅

The ABBA museum is in Stockholm at djurgården. You can get there from the city center with a boat, tram or a nice walk:)

The ABBA museum is in Stockholm, easy to find and readily accessible by public transport. Just make sure to book your tickets online as soon as you know when you'll be going!! Waiting outside in line can take a while and can get really cold if you've got bad luck with the weather :)

As a Swede, I find "Allt för Sverige" interesting both because I get an insight into the hardships of our ancestors and the mentality of the Americans. Either they play well or most of them are very emotional.

Its a great show.. and its a show!
And about heretige.. there is a saying that about 80% of swedes can track there heretige to Gustaf Wasa! Its becuse how heretige works.. give it at least some hundreds of years, we are all relativs! Give it some thousen of years, we are all Africans!
In anyway, its much about US stereotypes clashing with Swedish stereotypes.. its funny!

This series is based on the Norwegian version «alt for Norge». It is even better, and has a higher budget

Also, “Alt for Norge” is the royal Norwegian motto and. The title of the program refers to that. Doesn’t really have the double meaning in Swedish
