This is the fourteenth and last part of the playthrough of Dragon Quest Builders 2. We are in some kind of other dimension. The monsters there seem to be friendly and want me to build something for them...
I have a question about the game: Is there any new piece of music in this game? I noticed Builders 1 only featured two new jingles (blueprint complete, and light restored to the land). Everything else was merely ripped from previous games
I literally balled my eyes out when Malroth tried so hard to make the medicine and then did it. I don't know why, maybe it was the music, maybe his spirit or what he said to himself. But i cried like a baby.
If only we could build this kind of stuff in Minecraft... They really outdid themselves in this DQB2. All the inconvenients of the first game gone, so many new items, no many new ways to build...
I kept yelling at the screen for you to go back and get the sword from the wrecked ship. I was glad to read in another comment that you got it from a drop later. I also was kind of proud that I got it, since I consider you the guru of dqb2. You've helped me so much with your videos. Thank you!
I agree, though I likewise could not understand a word of the Japanese text, the story of the struggle/redemption of the human bulilder and Malroth (who in the end becomes a builder in his own right) against Hargon and Malroth's own dark side as the god of destruction Malroth from Dragon Quest 2 and later games is a bad ass story. I really dug the redemption themes, and the whole everything has a good and bad side aspect to the story. Which was further highlighted by having the final town the Builder works with being the town of monsters (demons) against their dark shadows. I would absolutely watch an English lets play. In fact I demand one! Bring it on! I really dug the story of the original DQB but I think DQB 2 if anything topped it. I found your channel through this lets play. I have loved every moment. I look forward to your creative an completionist videos and whatever is next in the future. Thanks for sharing this experience with us. It has been a blast.
My 9 year old has been taking over the TV to watch all of your TH-cam videos on Dragon Quest Builders 2 over her Winter break and before then your other videos! Dude I'm gonna be honest. I almost cried in this finale. Playing this game made me think all of what I built in the game. And that DQ intro song which bought nostalgic sounds to my ear. Yup it teared me a little. This is sure one of the games I care and love. It's even a lot greater than the first one. If DQ builders 3 will be release I'll definitely order ASAP. I honestly don't even care if 3 would get a downgrade or bad. I'd still play it because it's my childhood game title. I played and finished it before but now after I watched the final battle again this breaks me. Sweet tears in my eyes man. This is the only game so far that made me cry good job Square Enix. Great Job.
Ben, I can’t tell you how much I’ve enjoyed this video series. I’ve been using it as a walkthrough for my English game. For DQB3, I’m definitely going to get the Japanese version and play it when you do. Anyway, thank you so much for all of your wonderful videos. I have loved them very much.
I took the forge and the two furnaces from the room where N04H was, and had unlocked unlimited iron, so making all those iron blocks wasn't an issue for me.
I’m close to the end now... your videos have been so helpful. I think I would’ve given up without them. I’m now ready for the English version which I think will be available on Friday, but I’m the only one who thinks this 😂

This is why I hate RPGs that feel the need to shoehorn in a crap ton of characters thinking it adds so much to the package. Fewer main characters gives more time to develop feelings and connections, as this game absolutely nails. Your friendship with Malroth is so cute
I mean... okay? This game has dozens of characters that you find on a dime. Not saying it's bad at all, but by your logic this game shoehorns in characters and add too much to the package.
There's something about the sound of your voice with this game that's so soothing and relaxing. I use your videos for studying and to go to sleep...lol ;p
When you are on the quest of recruiting Captain Whitebones on the wracked ship, go under the deck to prison cells that have pots and strawbeds, in one of those pots you will find a Thunderbolt blade, it's attack +96. Also, it's easier and faster to attack the arm by standing right on the edge (armpit area XD), you wont be harmed by those purple bolts. I've been watching your videos since dragon quest builders 1, so inspiring and I'm amazed by your creativity. Thank you for sharing with us. =)

1:48:00 I almost miss that one, I saw the orange reaper, but I just went straight to the skeleton captain first. Then after getting him, I look around and I can't find him so I ride around and found a small cave and found the reaper and the chest.

I like the malhalla part of the game, you get a nice red Mars themed area to build in, but it is just not what I get on unholy holm in the post game, but I would like to make a huge malhalla build with all the blocks in the game and having access to the buildnoculars, but this requires use of cheat engine to do that and on pc where I am stuck on the tutorial ship...
The ending is you and Malroth building the sun, and casually knocking it into the sky. Why did the light of the world even disappear? Why even have it happen if it's just going to go away after a few minutes

Bin durch Zufall über dieses Video gestolpert, da ich vorher nur deine anderen Videos (Tipps, Tricks, etc.) zu DQB2 gesehen hatte und wollte dann mal sehen, wie du das große Finale gespielt hat. Um ehrlich zu sein, war es schon ein bisschen schwer mit anzusehen, wie du nach der Landung mit der Käferkarre den Weg durch die Festung gesucht und oftmals von diesen lila Nebeln eingesogen und getötet wurdest. ^^° Kann mir das nur so erklären, dass es wirklich an der Sprachbarriere gelegen hat, denn ich meine mich daran zu erinnern, dass man von dem Hämmerling den Tipp bekommen hatte, den Lichtern zu folgen. Das ist nämlich der Trick bei der ganzen Sache. Die Bosse/Monster hast du ja, nach kurzem Attackierversuch, zum Glück links liegen gelassen - so ist es nämlich auch richtig. Man sollte sie einfach ignorieren, sich an ihren vorbei mogeln, um den weiteren Weg zu "öffnen". Generell frage ich mich, ob du das Spiel (im speziellen jetzt die Story) bei diesem ersten Mal spielen so wirklich genießen konntest, wenn du eigentlich nichts vom Text verstanden hast. ^^ Würde mich mal interessieren, also auch gerne rückblickend. Ansonsten lasse ich ein großes Dankeschön und Lob da für all deine Arbeit, die du in deine Videos steckst. :)
Just finished it and I did enjoy the game, but this boss battle was terrible. They introduce a new game mechanic at the last second, but then when you need it to beat the boss they change the controls. You can't heal or even die apparently,, so there's no real challenge. It should've just been a cutscene, since it basically already is. Anyway, thanks for the many guides. They helped a lot. And now I can finally go nuts building.

you miss a 1 star on the boat sword fail in the pot of the cell to the left. (I saw it on the last video of the let's play of the game to the Japanese TH-camr ころな Corona Games.)
Yeah, when it comes out in English, do a Let's Play. Just *PAY ATTENTION!!* To not only surroundings, but monsters! Also, don't be indecisive. Overall, ya did fine. You're lucky your cute. I wanted to whap you with a pillow at times during this playthrough, but I smiled a lot too.
😅 thank you. What do you exactly mean with "do monsters"? And do you have examples for indecisiveness (not that I can't think of anything), but I think it had to do with the language barrier :) And you are not the first one who whants to whack me with a pillow ;D
@@BenXC Sorry, I mean pay attention to when monsters appear. Examples were when you you were looking through the forging menu, and those ants literally make a beeline towards you. Always handle those first. Indecisiveness would be I guess with the buggy. Meaning not picking or choosing where to go.
I noticed my reaction is a few seconds offset near the end. I don't know how that happened, but I hope it's not too distracting ;)

Monster stopped building mine at 74% anyone know why that might be. They stop opening chests and are just whacking things?
Maybe something is missing, check the blueprint and build a few things yourself on it.
@@BenXC Yeh i had to build 16% to 90% then they started again. just awkward the build thanks though.
