      Don't sweat it it's the experience kicking in if we played and learned every character in every game so we can understand them in commentary we'd be picking this stuff quick too
      (ALSO I think this is Rashid patch and her inputs got fixed those of you playing since Day 1 yall know what I mean)

      @Cursed_Fruit ya plus the man's whole job is to play and watch people play this game, he's seen most of these bnbs a million times and knows their rhythm off the top of his head before even touching the character

    • @MusicoftheDamned
      @MusicoftheDamned ปีที่แล้ว

      Meh. There will almost always be someone better, and while it might be frustrating to see, as long as you don't have a massive | frail ego you can generally benefit from learning where you made mistakes.

    • @gwen9939
      @gwen9939 ปีที่แล้ว +21

      @@MusicoftheDamned It's much less of an ego thing and just knowing how much work it takes to get it into your fingers where you stop messing up constantly during matches. Being good at something is satisfying and especially in fighting games getting to where you can feel more in control and fighting your opponent instead of your hands is a game changer. There's just a long period of learning them where it just feels like you're always struggling without ever feeling the need to want to be better than someone who has you beat in both experience and relevant vocation. There is such a thing as experiencing confidence in yourself without needing to be in competition with others.
      It's perfectly valid to feel frustrated when learning something, and expressing that frustration in whatever way regardless of how small doesn't always have to be met with "just don't get salty"/"stop protecting your fragile ego" or whatever flavor of bro philosophy that basically translates in rough drafts to "toughen up" under the guise of stoicism. What matters is finding conducive strategies to reaching your goal, and if that means managing and feelings of inadequacy and frustration then that will be a much more productive avenue to explore than pretending that you don't experience them, and sometimes exploring that comes in the form of seeking compassion for those feelings from others or from yourself.

    • @MusicoftheDamned
      @MusicoftheDamned ปีที่แล้ว

      @@gwen9939 Cool? I meant that as long as you don't have such an ego, then you should generally always be able to learn from your mistakes as you should. I didn't mean that only the people who are going to feel frustrated are ones such egos. Not sure how you got that from what I typed.
      Otherwise I wouldn't have bothered qualifying or pointing out that someone is almost never going to be the absolute best in something with nothing left to learn. So while it may be frustrating to see that, try to focus on learning things since *only* people said egos can't. That's literally I meant.

    I like routing combos myself in training mode for the most part because even though I never really find the optimal stuff without seeing it in a video first, it's just more satisfying for me than going straight to a combo doc and learning that way.
    With that context, I had the biggest, dumbest smile on my face at 1:44:19 after watching sajam do the combo I only found myself like last week and then say "that's the right combo, right?" Seeing other players reach the same conclusions I did, even if they got there way faster and at a much earlier date, is seriously one of my favourite parts of fighting games.

    Blanka Sajam was evil because of the super villain laughter and the "I can't play this character, I feel myself turning evil."
    It wasn't Blanka, it was the maniacal Blanka inside of you.

    Oh I needed this, got to Platinum with Juri and I feel pretty satisfied with that considering I never made it out of Silver in SF5, however since the beta I wanted to learn Chun since she's so damn versatile in this game but also felt a bit too technical so I kinda bounced off. And now with Evo proving she was very clearly an underrated character pick in the general perception, I'm determined to learn her.

    • @snowys4168
      @snowys4168 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Platinum 5 in sf6 is the same as ultra silver in sfv unfortunately, that's still the top 24% of players tho.

    • @problemsnearyou8899
      @problemsnearyou8899 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think she’s way easier compared to her SFV iteration . If you could play/understand her in V, you could definitely learn her here

    Geefs like to wake-up SPD for the same reason Sol Badguy players use 2D in every situation; because the reward is too tempting

    • @NeoBoneGirl
      @NeoBoneGirl ปีที่แล้ว

      2D is actually good at dodging things though, wake up SPD hasn't been good for 10 years with Gief

    • @Osiris2994
      @Osiris2994 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@NeoBoneGirl Indeed. But have you considered how funny it would be if it works? Like, yeah wake-up SPD is bad but the thought of getting lucky enough to land it is hilariously tempting. It's why Gief players do it and will keep doing it, because it stupid enough to be considered a smart strategy.

    • @NeoBoneGirl
      @NeoBoneGirl ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Osiris2994 That's not how fighting games work though. Things that suck don't become good because "they won't expect it", they suck cuz you don't have to expect it to beat it. If someone just meaties you normally, they'll accidentally beat wake up SPD every time even if they don't consider it once. It only works when the other player fucks up, which is not a strategy to rely on. It only got Sajam cuz he played Chun for like 30 minutes and didn't have his oki down yet

  • @cylondorado4582
