    i looked at this many times and i can see why some called it a early stoppage even tony, but when you look at the enfeebled way tonys feet and legs were holding him up, the unanswered sledge hammer blows to the face he was receiving and how those blows staggered him around almost lifelessly coupled with the very weak way he retreated...if justin wanted to he could of charged tony at those times and clubbed him unconcious, but justin knew tony was beaten and took his time lettting the ref realize this

      Tony's ego was at critical mass in this fight. Pride before the fall. As you said, he could have grappled, he could have used his reach. Instead, considering himself the better man he brawled and stubbornly refused to change his game plan.
      Sad.

    17:03 maybe if he used his jab things would have gotten different specially with that massive reach advantage that he didn't use, his Jab was always one of the best parts of his boxing when he used it, which is almost never.

    Imagine if Tony hadn't been limiting himself this entire time. He refuses to wrestle and only grapples defensively or off a roll, he even beat Jones in a wrestling match. He talks about Bruce Lee and flowing, but Bruce Lee was willing to wrestle and gravel. Dan Inosanto said Bruce Lee would come in with kicks and boxing and then shoot a Double or Single Leg Takedown and then armbar you. You can't flow if your not going through all the stages of a fight, sometimes you NEED to takedown in order to survive and it's about winning

    • @blackyboi2885
      @blackyboi2885 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      tony brains had so quickly early on been slammed around inside his head by justin that he could not think clearly anymore to do any such planning that your mentioning...he was on auto pilot and stuck in first punching gear
