I had the honor and privilege of seeing Jerry Clower in concert TWICE in Kingsport, TN in the mid nineties. Once in 94 and once in 97. I was a teenager and only one of my friends had any clue who Jerry was. Good times.
There are only a few men with the ability to reach into the hearts and soul of his fellow human beings to bring joy into their lives, Mr. Jerry Clower was that man. A GODLY person who shared the message that GOD loves us all, GOD BLESS JERRY CLOWER.
Why can't we have more people like Jerry Clower and Wendy Bagwel. Even some of the comedians of today would be hilarious if they would leave the language and vulgar talk out of their stand up. It's a sad world when even the very thing that was started to help us through the depression and through all hard times has become oppressive and down right sad
We used to burn the horns off with a horn iron my dad was half in the bag bit$#en we wasn't doing it right sat on the iron burnt clean through his coveralls i still laugh to this day
Ya'll see what Jerry done did right there? The punchline was "Lick off that knife before you put it back in the butter". But he kept going for the moral of the story. I guess he certainly did get better, huh?

I love listening to Jerry tell stories , and I appreciate the fact that he didn’t need foul language to be funny.
Me too.
I love this man dearly!!! Not as many can appreciate his stories today but they are as good today as ever!!
I agree Angela. Hope your day is great.
Jerry Closer was a great story teller, I have about every album he made.
I have loved this man story telling since the 70's.

It sounds like you made a hardtack.
