48 here, started watching and plying tennis in 2000. Saw fed ply many times in mason Ohio. Definitely my all time favorite player. His game was just so elegant and awesome to watch. Super classy guy too. I have to say that while I always liked rafa (but it was hard to watch fed lose to him many times), I really love rafa now too. These guys are great champions and super classy men.

@ Abhishek Taparia I can’t believe it’s over. There have been many greats over the years however Roger (and Rafa) represent the best the game has to offer. This as you said, is truly the end of the Golden Era. My biggest regret is that I took these guys for granted, thinking they would always be around and now it’s over. And now I’m here futilely wishing I could just relive the last 20 years to watch the greatest rivalry in the history of sports and the two greatest champions in the history of the game.

Rafa bawling his eyes out was heartbreaking. Rafa just realized exactly that his half of a life is completely gone. Roger's presence in his life (first as a fiercest rival, later also become the best of friend) become so routine it feels natural to have him around. I think it's just struck Rafa at that moment, that he now for sure won't feel that "natural presence" again. It's always easier for Rafa not knowing when Roger will be back on tour, like for the past 2 years. Now Rafa has confirmation that Roger won't be back ever again.

A player like Federer only comes once every few generations. His style is a throwback to the olden days, but he adapted it to be a force in the modern game. He had grace, technique, footwork, touch and every shot in the book, next he gave so much to the fans and press, he was the complete package!!!! You will be terribly missed. Roger chose a perfect way to say goodbye and he deserves nothing less. I cried so hard watching this but I loved every second! His whole family being there, his friends and rivals (especially Rafa ofc), the fact that the two of them played the last match of his career together or that Jim Courier did the interview one last time. Beautifully done and wonderfully spoken by RF as always. We love you Roger and you'll always be one of a kind. Thank you for everything you did for tennis❤️

Roger's mom is probably the one person in the world that can most accurately feel rogers inner self. 5:53 her face says it all.

It's great to see sportsmanship between them - Normally I see these kinds of crying scene in INDIAN context beating in chest and crying - but this was exceptional.

I've been watching him for 20 years, but it's always been a series of unbelievable moments. Beautiful movements, sharp strokes, passing shots, volleys, lobs, drop shots, serves, and humble interviews will never be forgotten. It ended today, but beyond Roger's contribution to tennis, his influence on sport will shine forever.
All the top athletes born in the early 80s like Roger have retired. I am wiping away tears as I watch Roger's retirement, the last exit of my generation of stars.

It's always hit me real hard to see Roger cry so deeply as it reminded me of some things that once lost cannot be regained. Emotions are signs of real humanity and NEVER ever forget your next chapter awaits you. You are mightily blessed with 4 wonderful kids, a great loving wife, parents and you now need to FOCUS on them CHAMP. It's not the end at ALL it's the start of the next chapter for you all. Take it easy

It's very emotional speech, and Rafa cried with him which made more emotional. He's the main reason that I started to watch tennis more years ago, played more....he's the true legend, role model....every athletes should be more like him.
