Hello. My flowerhorn fish has always been active. I have had her since last 6 months. She does not eat anything other than dried shrimps. I tried flowerhorn specific foods, but failed to convince her to eat any of them. She used to be playful, but since last 2 weeks she mostly hides. When I switch the motors off to feed her, that's the only time when she swims actively. Water temperature remains at around 30 degrees with help of a heater. Her color hasn't turned dark. She looks bright and disease free. All the while she eats, she swims notoriously being herself. But as soon as power supplies are switched back on, she decides to hide herself away. My tank is 3 feet, has two internal filters one on each end, one wave maker and a stick airstone at the back. Would you call that too much movement? The bottom is bare with just some medium size pebbles scattered here and there. Please tell me if I am going wrong somewhere.

I change 30% of tank water once every week, with overnight stalled dechlorinated water. I installed the wave maker because I noticed some poop getting accumulated in the bottom.

My flowerhorn fish became weak after giving bactonil and colour change to black and sitting in bottom of the tank and unable to swim 😢..we are changing water continuously once identified the problem we gave stress heal for 2 days then worm out for 1 and 3 and bactonil too...its just 2 years old still problem not rectified kindly suggest me 😭 We are using purified water for 2 year.. can't able to identify the problem no white poop and expect colour change there are no other symptoms..one angle looks like little rashes on skin

My SRD flowerhorn fish is active while the time of feeding and once feeding is done then it goes back near filter and won't move, even won't react to the owner once feeding is done. It will be so active at the time of feeding and rest it will stay dull at the bottom of the aquarium near filter

Just 1 internal filter is enough. No need of all these. Keep your tank light on in day time for atleast 8-10 hours

If your FLOWERHORN is fine then no worries. Continue with feeding and if he doesn’t eat remove the food after 15 minutes. Let us know after 2 days
