Every solo is improvised. Just plays what he feels in the moment. I’ve seen him live over 30 times over the years from 1988 when I saw him for my 2nd 9th gig ever……
🎸💯 I've been appreciating Eric Clapton for most of my life & I'm 71 years old‼️🔥
I've seen him 5 or so times & every single time was an incredible experience‼️The last time I saw him was in Charlotte, NC. He performed for over 3 hours‼️We had seats; but, we were on our feet for the majority of that time‼️The man just kept playing & singing & it was like he never wanted to stop‼️☮️❤️🎶
Claptons first Number 1 single in the UK in 1974. Made the UK aware of Reggae and allowed success for many other artists from that genre here that wouldn’t have been known if not for Eric.
I recall back in 1974 when this song got released. I heard it on the radio and thought to myself.... why did he cover this song ? Now I know why. This song evolved into something completely different from his original studio version. Thanks for picking this version. Take care....
Clapton's guitar tone for over 5 decades is
unmatched.
❤
Clapton was a major influence on Jimi Hendrix and almost everyone else. People often forget that Clapton was around years before Jimi. Partly because of Jimi’s years in the army during the Vietnam War.

*B.B. King with Slash and Others Jam - Live Performance (Live at the Royal Albert Hall 2011)*

_B.B. King + Simply Red + Guns N' Roses + The Rolling Stones + others_
Dr. Steve Gadd killing it on drums.
I agree on the great voice for this and a lot of blues / rock music and while Eric was always a great guitar player, he went many years not singing because he didn't think he was any good. I forget who it was that convinced him to try but whoever that was we all owe a debt of gratitude for it.
The late Delaney Bramlett was the guy who encouraged Eric to use his god-given ability to sing, or it might go away. We owe Delaney a debt of gratitude for that.
@@SP-ui8bk Awesome and yes that makes perfect sense. I saw Delaney & Bonnie once in '70 in Toronto, don't remember who was with them but I am sure I would have remembered if Eric was.
I ❤️ Clapton!
Eric Clapton is truly one of the greats, and there are two things about him I especially appreciate.
First, he never plays a song the same way twice. David Gilmour is one of my favorite artists, he plays with unmistakable passion and skill. But he plays each song the same way, note for note, even during his solos. You can't say that about Clapton.
Second, he closes his eyes when he plays, which is partly muscle memory and technique for sure. But watch him when he solos - the music is pouring from his hands. He's not watching his fingers on the fretboard, he's just playing. Clapton himself said when he plays a solo he's just singing what he's hearing in his head, he's just doing it through his guitar. Pretty impressive stuff.
Yup! ❤
😂❤
Try White Room by Cream-Eric Clapton.
Live version from 24 Nights is my fav version
Nathan East, Steve Gadd, Chris Stainton,. Worth looking at the background of Eric’s band . Stainton from Woodstock with Joe Cocker, Steve (Aja Steely Dan), and Nathan on bass just too many recordings to cite
Every evening a different solo , believe who went! Just Watch crossroads 2004 version of the same tune
'I Shot the Sheriff' is a song written by Jamaican reggae musician Bob Marley and released in 1973 with his band the Wailers. Fantastic version by Eric Clapton, he loves the blues and I know he's done quite a few blues songs. And of course, I can never get enough of Clapton's guitar solos/jam session - epic! Thanks for the reaction Anthony. 😊❤
Brother Bob (Marley) would love this!
That was Ron Woods of the Rolling Stones in the audience.
You have to listen and see INDIO SOLARI IN CONCERT, you will never see anything like it !!!
I love Clapton! He is always in my top 3 guitarist list!❤️🔥✌🏻🫶🏻
Clapton is ridiculously talented. And his band is ridiculously talented. Great reaction!
His solos are always improvised, as most of blues guitarists tbh, but he has one of the richest guitar vocabularies out there. My favorite guitarist hands down!!
Please react to his version of Double Trouble Bootleg Amazing Live Version. IMO one of the best solos of all time
This is a close second to his Royal Albert Hall version. That one is insane! Everyone on point, but Steve Gadd (Drums) perfection, as always!
I love how he's in jeans he probably does yard work in. He's there for the music.
Great review man. Opinions are just. That's a right!!
Clapton has his own distinct sound. I think most likely the solo changes every time. A little or a lot!!
Steve Gadd on the drums and a stones guitarist in the crowd!! Wow
As we say in Texas; y'all be safe. Have wonderful holidays.
Beautiful song, and what a beautiful guitar he is playing!
This sounds more Blues especially during Clapton's guitar solo..
Correction: Eric Clapton's "Willie and the hand jive" is a banger!
Eric Clapton's "Hand JIVE" is a banger. Worth checking out.
Those women are backup singers, not dancers.
Damn, I wish u went live when I was awake! 😖 I have so many songs/artists for u to check out! Dire Straits is one of my favorite bands ever! Please check them out!! 🙏🙏🙏
He's done a few reactions to Dire Straits, one of my favourite bands too! One of my requests was for Brothers in Arms live and it was brilliant. 😊😊
