i remember shipping these two when i was like 8 lol. i do think that they could be friends (based on the lore/adventures), but i dont think they are compatible romantically. looking back at the lore makes me feel like the alphas treat each other like family rather than anything else

I'm not too surprised that there's a ship between Peck x Greely, ik some people might think its weird cus they're polar opposites (Greely being a sort of introvert while Peck is an extrovert) But its really common for that to happen in Fandoms (Hero x Villian, Introvert x Extrovert, Kind x Mean etc). I don't mind but I definitely would've shipped this when I started AJ. especially since back then everyone had just this shipping rage to just ship everyone with everyone lol. (Also I love your artstyle)
Hey thanks for the feature at 4:29! That was an old masterpiece i made when the mp feature first got rolled out a few years back. The drawing was meant to be more platonic than anything but I remember publishing it and going like. "do as thou wilt ig." Also! GreelyXPeck was for some reason a big part of my writing journey. I’d write a few one-shots every now and then with them in it. I think without writing those one shots that eventually inspired a series, I don’t think I would’ve started writing. Yeah I had a few stories before but I’ve never been invested in any of them (except for one :p).
One of those one-shots had Greeley and Peck going out for ice cream when a phantom attacks. The two fight it and get free ice cream at the end for saving the shop. Then at the end Greeley drops his ice cream. Ah, good times.
1:41 I think I know how I used to ship Peck and Greely together. After Peck re-unites with the rest of the Alpha's after destroying the Phantom Fortress, (keep in mind I haven't played AJ in quite a while, but I believe this is how it went down) they are congratulating us and eachother for working together to destroy the fortress, and when Peck compliments Greely (she says something to him, but I can't quite remember what), he stutters a bit and came off to me as flustered or embarrassed
Not sure what sparked the ship for others, but that's what caused me to start shipping them. As of now, I think the ship is alright but I completely understand why people view them as good friends or purely platonic!
I'm pretty sure that the Greely and Peck ship is something based off of the lore in AJ.
In Storming the Fortress (adventure on AJ classic) when you destroy the cores of the phantom engine, the green goo flowing from it turns pink before Peck appears in front of you and Greely. It's then revealed that Greely went looking for Peck after she went missing some time around the time that the Phantom Badlands adventure happened. Peck went through the badlands in order to find the fortress. Greely then went looking for her, and its implied that Greely cared a lot about Peck and saw her more as his daughter than he saw her as a colleague. Hope this clears it up for those confused.

Fun fact: the artist who made the mp (Loopy44) made a comic back in the day on da relevant to animal jam. I loved reading it when I was younger, and found it so cool to find their user lol not exactly sure why but yk
I mostly started shipping these two after I finished the adventure, Storming the Fortress and saw Peck wanting to give Greely a big hug for coming to her aid, and Peck was the first to come after him in the adventure The River's Heart. And after reading Call of the Alphas, I saw how Peck belived in Greely when no other alpha did, and thought he was no good. I don't really ship them as much now... But I have to say, I really used to ship them when I was into adventuring a lot.
This remind me of The old aj, that cared more to rps, fashion shows, staiyng with friends, breaking The Ice and The Bridge in coral canyons, Seeing the dolphin in Crystal sands, The bigfeet... I Hope aj Make more easter eggs like these

Hey, don't know if you've heard of it, or care to cover it, but a private server for Feral has popped up. It's called EmuFeral and while it currently doesnt have quests amongst other feature, they're planned to be impemented in the future. As a fact, when I was a kid I've always shipped my animal with Greely or Sir Gilbert.
I find it funny because I had the extremely old art on paper of my self insert x AJ alpha
I hated Peck during that time as a kid but now I like her because she reminds me of my little chaotic self (with the hyperactive, creative personality mostly)
I honesty love all the alphas (specially Greely, hehe)
I used to ship them together. Peck was always my favorite Alpha and I had a crush on Greely, so boom new ship. I don’t mind them now, I mean I don’t really play Animal Jam but I still think they’re kinda cute. They definitely reflect the kind of ships I’m into nowadays

peck has always looked and acted like a teenager, so shipping her with greely whos like... idk based on lore is def 30+ it has always felt weird 😭
especially with a post that ajhq made with the caption "emo & his emotional support theatre kid" it just feels super weird, i honestly see them more of a younger sibling and older brother dynamic or even like a father and kid duo. i hate the obsession of immediately believing that two characters are dating based on nothing.
Peck is most definitely an adult basing it off the lore of aj, being she was turned to an alpha at the same time
also as somebody who ships, alot of us are less immediately assuming they date canonicaly and more just like the idea so we just go with it for our personal beliefs (aka headcanons)

I never really thought about shipping the alphas as a kid, which is… surprising considering I shipped the plants in PvZ. I guess always thought the alphas were different ages so it felt weird to ship them even though they’re probably all around the same age. I honestly beleive the alphas view eachother like siblings and Liza is like the oldest sibling being a parental figure. I could just never picture them otherwise and I would think they had normal animal mates. I amgine Cosmo would be a love struck type of guy, Peck would be the one to shower her lover with affection, Greely definitely had an edgy forbidden romance Warrior Cats style, Graham is probably already married, and I think Liza would have a girlfriend. Something about her makes me feel she would have a girlfriend.
Greely and Cosmo are the only Alphas I don’t find scary. 😂
