      Minority Mindset hey Jaspreet, I want to thank you for your motivational and informative videos. they lit a fire under my ass and got me to realize that I too have a broke mindset. Started my own construction company and still work full time and landed my first job last week. 12 hours of working and I've made more on my own than I do at my job getting paid biweekly with an average of 30 hours of overtime. Thanks again and thanks for another great video

      Yup, amazing that our capitalist society does not teach our young to be capitalists. If you are young, think about rental houses. Others invest their money in your property if you do it right.

    You talked about "Delayed Gratification". My uncle did excactly this, he always talked about how he was going to do all these fun things after he retired and he was getting really close he had over a million, 2 years before he retired he died. He didnt get to enjoy any of his hard work. Im sure theres a balance between delayed gratification and enjoying yourself now.

    • @parkfun101
      @parkfun101 7 ปีที่แล้ว +36

      That is why since I was 21, I've traveled somewhere new each year and I'm 41 now. If you wait till you retire, you may be too tired or cranky, or die even. Also, saving a million is not necessary, Just save enough to buy some good assets so that your "money makes you money" and now you can get to a million earlier and make money in your sleep!

    • @TheDreamSyndicateArts
      @TheDreamSyndicateArts 7 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Damn, yeah that's in part why I'm all about starting one's own business based on whatever you're particularly gifted at. I think it's just a balance of not throwing your money away on frivolous shit week after week, but you can take cheap weekend trips here or there and go on bigger vacations every few years is probably a pretty good balance.

    • @jumpman366
      @jumpman366 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Speuce lol who tf waiting till retirement to enjoy life

    • @knucklesandwich320
      @knucklesandwich320 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I wouldn't even call it balance and more like compartmentalizing, meaning there's some money or assets you never touch but then you got some to blow on whatever. I think people want some universal law like always delay gratification, live in the moment, or stay in the middle and have balance. But life conforms to no one rule all of the time and you just gotta do what you think suits the specific situation and hope it works and create a tweakable strategy that fits your life and personality, basically you can't be too attached to one rule or advice and you gotta accept that "hey, this might not work but here goes". As far as vacations go you might not afford a big vacation but you can have multiple shorter, but no less fun, vacations which are better anyways according to research.

    Hi, *I'm currently out of a job........* Because I QUIT! I did it to start my business because I was sick and tired of being bossed around without ever having enough for my own damn apartment! Now some may say it's unwise to cut off your income, but I believe it to be _vital_ to make it, because I'd be too tired to work my job _and_ start my business. Anyway, wish me luck!

    Practically compounding my way out of broke life :)
    1. compound with money
    2. compound with financial education
    (1. + 2. ) + Delayed Gratification = Success

    This is sound advice. As someone who has been investing for a few months now and have started studying the power of compound interest for almost a year, this is a simple way to introduce people to it's power. I have 3 notes on those who doubt anything in this video:
    1. Einstein himself said compound interest is the 8th Wonder of the World. So instead of doubting off the bat, understand that he said this, instead of using your anecdotal life information to say this doesn't work.
    2. Those who say not everyone can invest we need workers/people who spend money. The world would be better off if people invested more. The argument is those who make more, save more, therefore not contributing to society more. False. Look at the billionaires, Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, etc. They used their money to expand their companies hiring tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of people increasing our economy and GDP.
    3. And my last point. He used the point of 7% annual returns. This is a really good number to use. Sure the markets go up and down, and many variables should be accounted for. The S&P 500, basically the index that measures the stock market as a whole. Consistently makes around 10% back on your money on average. Sure you wouldn't invest 100% of your capital into this but with other investments, and taxes/fees taken out, 7% is quite the right/ modest return.
    The whole point of this is to SAVE and INVEST. Don't doubt this information. Many of the worlds billionaires would attest to this easily. Make a better life for you and for others around you. If you have any questions feel free to message me. I technically just started my investing life but I'm always down to help with the limited scope of knowledge I have.

      I'm not going to touch much but the number 3 argument! Theses men move in a way they have an endless source, the people! Those 3 you spoke of are the biggest gangsters of all time! Robbing everyone with no gun no nothing! Killing people for years with no consequences just gets Richer and Richer! They all know something and it's sinister like no other! But everyone will have to face off with their decision and truly reap what we sow and theses 3 oh my it's almost sad! So i just hope they enjoy while it last because when they truly get outed it's not going to be pretty and God THE Father is not proud of what they are doing they will reap what they have sown! We all will! Talking says alot but not talking says way more and much louder! It's sad!

    Hi, Jaspreet! Look, I have got the worst possible type of Gramscian-Marcusean-Neomarxist education about money and about how to live, in a country where the left took 100% of the media posts, and contrary arguments and viewpoints (like libertarian and conservative) were not presented in public for more than 40 years...So everyone was taught to rely exclusively in the government. By myself I took the red pill and can see clearly now... However, I'm 50 already and with a failing health... I don't think the compound effect will work too well for me anymore. What can I do? I'm 100% sure the government will not even pay me the money it forced to to save for my retirement (politicians stole it already)... And even that is far from being enough money. A few words from someone wise about the subject could really help me to get out of this situation...

  • @worknman78
    @worknman78 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Jaspreet,
    Can't remember the video you called it out in, but you mentioned calling your debtors to negotiate a lower payment. Today my student loan rehabilitation called and said my payment was going from $39/month to $249/month!!! I talked with the guy, and we went with a debt to income analysis, and 20 minutes on the phone got my payment down to $5.00/month!!!! Wouldn't have even thought to negotiate until watching your videos! Many thanks brother!
    BTW, also enrolled in my ESPP and almost doubled my 401K for my current "tight" budget investments, our ESPP buys at a 15% discount.

    I was raised in a “money is evil” household. Took me 15 years to un-learn this behavior. Im not any happier but am much more free.

    You should do a video on IUL. We have an indexed policy that gets you 100% of the market upside, with 0% of the market downside. Huge performer. Averaged 7.79% over the past 18 years, and it grows tax free. At distribution, take tax free loans from the cash value of the policy as your income....when you die, the loans are paid back out of the death benefit. Not to mention, if you ever get sick, which most people will, it pays out up to 90% of the total death benefit.
    Good video.

    Hi, Jaspreet....in my area we have a Credit Union that has a 3.24% interest rate for what they call an interest checking accout. It is the highest interest rate of have seen for any bank. Have you had any experience using Credit Unions and how do they differ from more traditional banks?

    I just started watching your videos a couple of weeks ago and I really like the advice that you give, I am an Army veteran who gets disability but I have been only putting it in a FidelityAccount that's not doing anything for me and I want to know more about this compound interest if possible

    It's so tough for me to fully adopt this mindset when my wife lives with so many medical issues. I just try to balance the two.
