I installed mine today in my 2023 ORP 4Runner. I followed all the instructions to the letter in this install video and finished in a bit more than an hour. I love this steering wheel. I replaced an OEM heated wheel and this is just as warm, but unlike the OEM wheel it's heated all the way around. This steering wheel is amazing!

Which fuse did you install it on for your 2023 since it's a newer fuse set up than the one they are using in the video?
Just installed mine this last weekend and LOVE it. Installation was easier than I thought, just took it slow and referred back to video as needed. If you're on the fence, just do it. Thanks Sev!

@@jimshaughnessy3867 steering wheel yes. But as of now, we have realized that the Tacoma has 3 different clock springs. We managed to get 2012-2015 make it work, working on the 2016+ it’s a matter of time and I will release and announce. The reason for that, Tacoma was made in the US and Mexico… 4runner was and is Japan.
I went from a 2018 BMW 4 series w cold weather package to a 2021 4Runner orp . I always thought it was so odd that this truck didn’t have a heated steering wheel but the BMW did. Awesome mod and adding to cart!

I just ordered one of these amazing heated steering wheels. Even though my 2023 4Runner has a heated wheel, I was drooling over some of the newer style Toyota offerings in other vehicles. I found out I'd need a truck load of money for those. This steering wheel is every bit up to 2024 standards and looks great. I'm an Engineer on Navy ships so I know how to work on things, but I still appreciate this install video to make sure I'm checking all the boxes....thanks!

Finally installed yesterday. Works great. Just had to move the fuse since it didn't match the video. 22 Trail edition.
Yup, the fuse for the 2020-2024 is at the bottom right , compared to my video 2010-2019. Glad all good for you, not enjoy some warmth :)

Installed tonight on my 2018 Tundra Limited. Took 1:47. My only issues were:
Realized I had no blank switch places on the left, but the wire was long enough to place the switch on the right side in my one spare slot. I should have checked before placing an order but it worked out.
The clock spring green tab snapped off flush and I had to use a tiny pair of pliers to pull it out.
Took a few minutes to find a slashed out fuse space that was switched, so that the heat shuts off when the truck is off.
Looking forward to using it! Seems to be high quality. May do the same to our 4Runner.
Wow! Sorry for the issue you had. The wires are made long enough to set either left or right positioning . Where ever is empty , glad you worked it out, indeed, this is taken from the same factory that does the LC (land cruisers) clock springs. So have a peace of mind and enjoy. Great video, very informative. I actually just had to replace the clock spring and go through the reprogramming procedure. Not terrible but not fun either. Looking forward to getting and installing the steering wheel

@@KingSev Well, I'm sure Toyota didn't do it for awhile because they kept the technology in the 4Runners basic. Which is one of the reasons I fell in love and purchased mine - less high tech gadgets = less things to go wrong. And I really love having big clunky knobs to adjust the temp as opposed to another button. I guess I'm just old skool like that. 😂
But a heated steering wheel is one creature comfort that would certainly be nice to have, especially here in Wyoming where we have winter for 8-9 months of the year!

Quality is great on the steering wheel. What fuse plug do I need to plug it in? I have watched this video 8 times and I can’t seem to find it.
Currently, I have it plugged in the srtr htr and the other day I turned my car off and accidentally left the heated steering wheel on and it drained my battery.

You probably have 2020+ years… that’s why you may not find it similar to my 2017
The reason at first , we did the switch according to the oem switch that turns off with the truck, is for this exact reason, because sometimes we forget or leave on and it drains the battery. You can piggy back on any acc fuse that turned off with the truck. Around same amps

I like to keep the original parts and store them. Can the green clip be installed into the original clock spring ?
the oem part if I understand correctly , yes you can put the green thing and store it, even better use a painters tape to stick it well.
Just installed mine, looks great. However, the button and steering wheel heat is functioning with the vehicle off... not sure how this is happening. I used the blank STRG HEAT fuse slot. Is there a specific one I'm supposed to be tapping into?
I’ve mentioned which fuse to use in the video. Should not function when truck is off.

My traction control light and steering wheel light with the ! Sign turned on and my heat doesn’t work on my steering wheel. I followed the video to a tee. Any ideas?
1-You need OBDII to check what lights are on and why.
2-you need to ground correctly if you’re switch is not turning on and that may be the case
3-can’t trouble shoot on TH-cam, post in the 4Runner group to see what and how you installed to try to assist .

I'm curious if you've ever ran into trouble with the air bag? I'm getting a code that indicates a short in the squib circuit. Do you know of any common causes?
Not really, where was the unit bought from?
@KingSev will this aftermarket clock spring cause any dash lights to come on or any errors? Just installed a different aftermarket clock spring and it was causing the slip indicator to stay on and the multi terrain select to flash on the gauge cluster. Thanks!
