@@KingSev Well, I'm sure Toyota didn't do it for awhile because they kept the technology in the 4Runners basic. Which is one of the reasons I fell in love and purchased mine - less high tech gadgets = less things to go wrong. And I really love having big clunky knobs to adjust the temp as opposed to another button. I guess I'm just old skool like that. 😂
But a heated steering wheel is one creature comfort that would certainly be nice to have, especially here in Wyoming where we have winter for 8-9 months of the year!

do not move clock spring, the guy giving me anxiety as the clock spring just swivels from left to right.
😂. Sorry my man, I have to, because a lot of people just think that they can rotate as they wish and install back normally. If it moved 20 degrees, you’re ok, but I can’t say that because then they will just disregard the fact and rotate. So put a tape on it installs and avoid a huge mistake that will cost 1300$ at the dealer or another set of steering wheel with clock spring and yes , been there done that with 3 people already and I was nice enough to break a set of my steering wheels set and ship then a replacement clock spring for only 150$ . So yeah , anxiety to the roof lol 😂 cheers 🥂

I have not tried that, since I don’t own a Lexus nor have one to test on, but if you find out of Lexus clock spring is same as runner, then yes

Great video, very informative. I actually just had to replace the clock spring and go through the reprogramming procedure. Not terrible but not fun either. Looking forward to getting and installing the steering wheel

I went from a 2018 BMW 4 series w cold weather package to a 2021 4Runner orp . I always thought it was so odd that this truck didn’t have a heated steering wheel but the BMW did. Awesome mod and adding to cart!

I installed mine today in my 2023 ORP 4Runner. I followed all the instructions to the letter in this install video and finished in a bit more than an hour. I love this steering wheel. I replaced an OEM heated wheel and this is just as warm, but unlike the OEM wheel it's heated all the way around. This steering wheel is amazing!

I just ordered one of these amazing heated steering wheels. Even though my 2023 4Runner has a heated wheel, I was drooling over some of the newer style Toyota offerings in other vehicles. I found out I'd need a truck load of money for those. This steering wheel is every bit up to 2024 standards and looks great. I'm an Engineer on Navy ships so I know how to work on things, but I still appreciate this install video to make sure I'm checking all the boxes....thanks!

Another question Sev.. Would the heated steering wheel fit on a '22 Tacoma?
@@jimshaughnessy3867 steering wheel yes. But as of now, we have realized that the Tacoma has 3 different clock springs. We managed to get 2012-2015 make it work, working on the 2016+ it’s a matter of time and I will release and announce. The reason for that, Tacoma was made in the US and Mexico… 4runner was and is Japan.
@KingSev will this aftermarket clock spring cause any dash lights to come on or any errors? Just installed a different aftermarket clock spring and it was causing the slip indicator to stay on and the multi terrain select to flash on the gauge cluster. Thanks!

Sev, the link you have on Cartrim says 2014-2019. Is there a link for 20+ please?
Yes, because 2020+ may need repinning of the harness on the plug side, a lot of 2020+ owners did it. Actually it’s compatible till 2024. But again, there may be a slight re pinning, meaning removing the pins from your truck side and using the oem harness plastic that plugs to the clock spring, easy job, because Toyota changes the plug side / design after 2020.

Thank you 🙏, yes , the clock spring won’t affect TSS or Kane departure, it’s only a matter of the heated element .
I’d put the ground under the plastic instead of over the plastic.
Sure ; you can do that but since the screw is metal, it’s touching the ground, but yeah good point .

I like to keep the original parts and store them. Can the green clip be installed into the original clock spring ?
the oem part if I understand correctly , yes you can put the green thing and store it, even better use a painters tape to stick it well.

Shapes no, sticking / color yes. I can do now even; for 35$ more and takes 3-4 weeks to deliver +-

No, Tacoma harness is different . Unfortunately but i may be doing it for the Tacoma in the future , I always take care of the Tacoma enthusiasts… since I don’t own a taco unfortunately it’s not my priority but always always I take care of you guys , like the grills and many more other products , headunit, trims etc .
