That stage fright excuse is getting lame since 2014. Even a kindergarten kid would sing better after a matter of weeks
I saw them live yesterday and he actually sings better when he doesn't play guitar at the same time. The song sections where he has to play a lot of guitar and sing at the same time were sung a lot worse yesterday

I saw the band live for the first time recently in Frankfurt and was a bit surprised because the melodic singing part is more of a marginal phenomenon and the "screaming" singer clearly dominates. In my opinion, Pontus clearly sees himself in the role of the guitarist who can also sing well when he has to.

@shayxtreme Pontus isn't a bad singer but you can't have a mix like this. Your backing track should not come over the top. They need to work on some harmonies and figure out a way to get away from those backing tracks or as you said, find another lead.

Dead by April ha sido mi banda favorita desde 2010, y soy honesto: Pontus es un gran músico, pero no es un gran vocalista, y la banda necesita urgentemente un vocalista que tenga más presencia escénica y poder vocal, pero, tal vez, Pontus nunca cederá la voz a otra persona, simplemente lastima demasiado a la banda.
@@possebon_Con todo respeto para mí Pontus es un verdadero genio musical, canta y toca la guitarra muy bien lo cuál no es nada fácil de realizar... Además de componer y producir los álbumes... Un gran Artista y respecto a si debería de ceder la voz principal yo creo que así están bien. Solamente les falta Jimmie... A mi parecer
@@juanjose_casasolaveramusica Si, estoy de acuerdo contigo, Pontus es un gran músico y en general es un gran artista, pero para mí su voz deja mucho que desear cuando canta en vivo. A veces desafina, no tiene potencia vocal y la banda necesita cambiar el tono de las melodías originales de la versión de estudio para que pueda alcanzar las notas cantando en vivo, ¡pero su voz grabada en estudio es muy buena! Dead by April es mi banda favorita, pero soy honesto al decir que dejan mucho que desear en términos de voces limpias, ya que Christopher es muy bueno con los gritos.

During the first chorus, the cameraman did not understand who the clean vocalist was. I thought I was just playing the recorded sound too.
I liked DBA around 2006 and only a few demos existed, including Losing You. I am surprised they are still active and hope they continue to be.
Pontus never could hit high notes. Only in studio he could.
See that's the thing that really annoys me about Pontius, in the studio, he goes hard 🔥 but live, he's weak as fuk and I don't care if he has stage fright that's a poor excuse

I've seen them live three times and there used to be a time where they didn't use backtrack for anything, when they actually had someone that can sing and scream live. Now they're using backtrack for every single concert and even backtracking screams, it's crazy.
The fact that Pontus still can't sing live after being in the band for a decade is also disturbing
Everyone that actually had a purpose in the band, either gets kicked or leaves and there surely is a reason for it.
@@interprosDaz been to a Dead by April concert yesterday and they have not used one backtrack for anything. Absolutely rocked the venue and sounded amazing.
