Meusser to Experimental Meusser must be the most jarring power shift I've ever seen. From shooting .223s to acting as a platform to shoot a giant Wolf-one-shotting laser with a Battery Mag.
To be fair though some of the weapon's looks are bordering on low quality, I don't care if guns aren't tacticool realistic no style 100% true to life model MW19 animated by (insert animator here) with EPIC ultra Bodycam shaky hands but man it is so jarring to see some of them, like the M16 for instance. Looks too flat, I guess
I mean I can’t blame them. The base game has a lot of good guns, then the devs hype up these new DLC packs but the animations are bad and the guns look off. At the start it was fine (first two USA weapons packs and the Russian weapons pack) but now it’s off.
Ok I’m here to answer people’s questions before they start hating on the game 1. Why does some animation look bad, and some good?: the dev team Is fairly small and need time to animate. Some animations look bad because the animators likely had less time to work on unlike other weapons 2. Why are the names wrong: the names are changed due to copy right laws. This same rule applies to the weapon models as well, some models are copy righted that’s why some models look flat or out of shape. The devs simply don’t have the budget to keep the names of the real weapons 3. Is the performance good?: yes and no. if you have an high end pc you won’t have to worry about the graphics but you will still encounter a crash here and there (don’t worry the devs are hard at work trying to fix as many as possible) and yes there is also a performance mode for you low end players as well. 4. Why are the graphics so good?: the engine GZ uses is Apex engine that’s why it’s so beautiful. 5. Can you customise your weapons?: yes and no, the base game weapons do have weapon skins but you have to get the dlc required (don’t worry their like dirt cheap like $7 AUS) but dlc weapons don’t have any cosmetics, there are 2 exemptions however, those being the melee weapons featured in the story dlc ‘FNIX Rising’. 6. Is it available on consoles?: yes, the games available on PC, PS, and Xbox. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask in the replies to this comment. And if you have any complaints please keep them Respectful as the dev team is small and work very hard to keep their community satisfied. You can also ask the same questions in the GZ discord, where to mods or even the community members are more than happy to answer you can find it on the systemic reaction YT channel description or streams. 4.-The graphics engine used is not the unreal engine. The one being used is the Apex engine from Avalanche Studio, that is, the creators of the hunter call of the wild (sorry my bad English)
The performance can be very bad sometimes on the ps4, the worst examples i think of is when you find one of the auto generated fnix bases a bit later on
If anyone complaints on the handling of some of the guns, keep in mind that the player characters in this game are high school teenagers. True to the 80s esthetic.
Also pretty sure the setting takes place in an alternate time line and there are rogue robots walking around so yeah shit be not like our world to the letter.

Shotgun suppressors work. They use a perforated steel tube, compensating for the lack of gas bleed with larger expansion voids. Again, gotta get out of the headspace of video game shotguns to understand why they do; the shotgun's wadding, combined with gas pressure generally keep the pellets away from the walls, and spread does not become a significant factor in shotguns until around 20-30 meters downrange.
Too bad the holy hand grenades arent around and usable anymore, it was one of the weirdest drops/glitches added to the game in the early days then just disappeared after. Spawned on and place where the normal frags spawned and was just golden with a cross on top
I FUCKING LOVE this game but i also FUCKIN HATE this game. The game play is amazing enjoyable and the peformance is really really good concidering im using a moderatly mid pc and still getting solid 70 fps on medium thats why i love this game the guns are sexy as hell why do i hate the game? THE GAME HAS A FATAL BUG THAT PREVENTS ANY PROGRESS BEING SAVED ive tried to troubleshoot this issue for months still no luck anyone got any idea on fixing this issue?
Same on the save. I wish you could save slots like in the Fallout games or whenever you pause, it actually pauses so you don't get killed by some machines
God some of the new guns look so goofy. The original guns look, sound, and feel fucking beautiful but the new DLC guns just look bad. The animations are just awkward and so floaty, or don’t match well with the gun.
The spas-12 or the racs-12 is the buggiest gun in the game and on console it’s god awful… spam shoot the ground as quickly as possible with 1 person and you kill ur frames and anyone in about 50-75m range and with birdshot… my god… all you need is 2 people and you can crash people’s game… getting into a fight is a risk with it… I’ve crashed my game so many times with that and it’s so annoying… should be an unwritten rule to never use it in a mp lobby or with friends
