hi Hiba 👋. i’m currently in secondary school trying to find a career and OBGYN is really one that i want to do. But my problem is i don’t know the timeline from being in college to university ( med school) to being a actual OBGYN. so could do a video of what you done when you were in secondary school and how you progressed to where you are now and stating what steps you done to become what you are. thank you this video would be really helpful 💗😊
Hi there, thanks for your comment! Apologies for the delayed response. OBGYN is a great career choice! I can certainly add this to my list of videos, thank you very much for the recommendation. Just as an overview though, after secondary school it would be 2 years at college with at least 3 A levels (2 of them being science), then 5 years of medical school and 2 years of foundation training. After the 2 foundation training years is when you would choose to specialise in OBGYN - before that you cover all medical specialties. From this point it would take another 8 years from starting your OBGYN training to becoming a consultant OBGYN. From the 5 years of medical school onwards you will be a qualified earning doctor.
THIS VIDEO so good and I know will help a lot of people (off to go watch and take note on your anatomy studying video now!)xx
