Were you self taught or took classes? I have a cheap piano that I want to learn to use so I can then upgrade but if I can't learn by being self taught then I don't know how to learn to play since can't pay someone to teach me
Hey! As a fellow self-taught pianist, I can say that it's definitely possible to make decent progress working on your own. The internet is really resourceful. You can find many theory-related sites on Google, and music YT channels like Charles Cornell, Josh Wright, and Nahre Sol can teach you a lot. The biggest and most important tip is to get feedback from multiple perspectives on your playing. Because there are some things you might not notice on your own, such as improper technique/hand positions. There are many piano Discord servers with people who are more than willing to listen to your playing or answer questions. Or you can join a piano Reddit server and get feedback from a community there. The most important thing is that even though you're self-studying, you don't go alone.
