We had a rented cabin on stilts for 9 mo.in 1973.Almost to the top of the mountain.Off Hi-way 9 N.of Santa Cruz.In Henry Cowell redwood forest.Off the main rd.it was a Single lane dirt road going up the mountain.Had to back up to a turn in,so the car coming down the mountain could get by.Thanks for the drive.I do my travelling on youtube now. Most Quiet & Beautiful area I ever lived in.Saw a lot of good musicians at the Catalyst Bar in Santa Cruz. Best Regards
As someone who travels the flat roads of Luzanner (Louisiana to you, but you talk funny), I would never be able to drive on these roads. I am sightseer even when I drive and on those roads, that would be dangerous. So for that reason, I have sat here in my easy chair and enjoyed the ride and sightseeing. Very enjoyable. You said, "Alpine Road" and I said what road? That looked like a cow trail. LOL!
Nice country and I often miss being there. This drive brings back memories, thank you! I'll watch it in shorter segments of 20 minutes or so. You could maybe get more more viewers and more subs and if you post more but shorter vids, this one could make three. Don't mind my rambling, you're doing fine.
We do a Coastal drive, often ...a few familiar places we stop ... Alice's Restaurant at the summit., Apple Jacks in La Honda. The Red Barn (everybody loves to photograph that) San Gregorio General Store... Mostly we go through Pescadero to get their famous bread, Harley Goat Farm for cheese... then down to Santa Cruz or up to Half Moon Bay
