Finally a reviewer who actually has enough common sense to understand that you push the wheel backwards with the trolly handle! AND he understands the 3 adjustments on the shock!? Thumbs up from me.
That's a great quality video right there. I wasn't able to really pin point what was so great about this wheel, but I think you've nailed it. It's just exciting and inspires me to try new things and go back to just having fun again. That shot at 13:25 ish, riding behind the s20 silhouette, slow mo, so epic. 👏👏👏.
WOW. Fantastic video. I was like please be as real as possible on this. AND YOU DEFINITELY WERE. Despite all of the cons(which there are plenty where performance is concerned), the S20 does look great, fun and innovative as stated. That's intense Tishawn was in this. FIRE🔥🔥🔥
I tried to do some crazy stuff on the RevRides S20 when it was in town.... nothing felt difficult on it. Going to need to redefine what "extreme" is when mine arrives.
This is among my top favorite EUC videos ! Your production & music choices are alway top notch …but adding in one of the most inspiring guest riders from the NYC scene with the pulse of the Manhattan Night Lights and signatures hat & flow from TISHAWN …….this videos rankings soared ! 🙏🏽🔥💯
Again, cinematography and esp your colour grading impressing in spades. So good! The wheel too... it literally nails my demographic and everything I'm looking for in a wheel. Can't wait to get mine in May!
I have awful streets and this wheel would be quite useful to me. I'm coming from a V10F right now. Congrats for the video. It's tremendous 👏 I also loved the participation of Tishawn and Marc Rebillet!
Great Review and footage. Glad to hear more about the wheel being fun to ride vs just all specs and numbers. Still don't think i would get this one being in the city.. I am happy it exists, and hopefully more manufacturers will do things like for real smart BMS and take some chances on design.
I like the video, thank you. Really appreciate the reality of the break test. I am currently on day three of learning with an MCM4 , so i am brand new to this and very humble. i chose this wheel to learn on becaue it was small and cheap, it was less than $500 with shipping on eBay . I am looking at the S20 because of the look and the suspension being less fatigue on my 56 yo knees if and when i improve enough to move to a larger wheel. I also like the Sherman but the “like butter” expression most reviewers are mentioning have the s20 as my most attractive option. Thank you again from a middle aged kid!
Tishawn have a way of throwing the euc from leg to leg....shyt is so fire. The first time I seen him do that was in Hsiang Sherman tear-down vid. This is very high level riding. Having the euc pushed out 👉 on one leg while counter balancing leaning your body 👈 is epic af.
Tishawn in the da house! Man, its been ages since i saw a video with him . Next wheel will probably a Sherman Max (from a Nikola+ as first wheel last year, thanks to you, Mickey) because i want the range for long trips, but i could see a updated S20 as a second "fun wheel" down the road.
An excellent review there Mickey ... wonder what Tishawn didn't like about the wheel if anything at all? Poor braking in a city environment seems like a safety feature KS needs to fix.
Your video production is so good, it makes me wonder if you do it for a living…oh, wait you do! Lol Great video, man! Can’t wait for my S20, I’m not perfect either.
Great video,I’m socked thought that you didn’t mention smart bms, kingsong did an amazing job there on safety measure,we now know exactly the state of the battery each time we check our mobile and that make us sleep good at night. I remember you had done a video about smart bms and now that they added to this wheel you make no mention at all. We need to push other manufacturers to add this feature to all new wheels.
I definitely want a Sherman (or Sherman Max) and an Inmotion V12, but this wheel would be a very interesting choice. Something I would change would be the colours (to all black) and the headlights design if possible. It doesn't feel right where it is. But that's a minor issue. The speed is more than perfect for me. EUC riders shouldn't be asking for speeds higher than that, in my opinion. EUCs have different braking and are more radical than bikes and cars, but that's my vision. Thinking about public safety. Congratulations once again!
I was really excited for this wheel. It was gonna be my off-roading complement to the V 11. But when I rode it I hated it. Too top-heavy, too wide and didn’t accelerate nearly as smooth as my V 11.
I feel like wheels are not like sneakers. Trying them out as opposed to putting them through their paces are different things. I just got an EXN and there were a lot of things I had to get right before I was able to start loving it. I can only imagine that's how it'll be if I get a third wheel. We get used to things and forget how much time it took to get to that point of comfort. I've ridden 200 miles on my EXN now and it felt like nothing but I still only feel 80% connected with it. I attribute that to limiting myself to on road riding and only go offroad when the ground is frozen. But come springtime I'll be able to really get on it. Then I'll be totally locked in. I guess I'm trying to say that this part of riding a new wheel can be frustrating or envigorating based on how you perceive it. I think spending over 3,000 bux on a wheel pressures it into being perfect. Otherwise it feels like a waste of money. Only getting to try out a preproduction wheel gives you very little time to assess the big issues. We'll have to see if the S20 gets ironed out and turns into another bulletproof option like, say the 16x. It could, however,, wind up like another S18 so it's better to wait and see. I feel like they could've had way better results with 100v 2700wh 2800w motor and all the chasis innovations they have on it. The wheel would be taller and jump Great and have solid 40 mile range on the worst day possible. I'm not sure if it would be lighter but I know it would get better range. Seems like they were trying to upgrade the S18 when they should've been trying to make a Sherman or an EXN with the S20 suspension, rim, and overall look.
@@jamesordwayultralightpilot i’ve ridden the S-18 as well and really liked it. If they can make something that handles like the S 18, but has the speed and range of my V 11, I’ll be all over that. The interesting thing is how different sprung versus unsprung weight works with wheels vs cars. After trying a few other suspension wheels I’ve come to really love how much unsprung weight there is on my V11. On a car that would be bad. But on a wheel it serves to keep everything upright. The S 20 is way too top-heavy. Anytime I did a rigorous turn the thing would want to fall over….. but the S 18 handled pretty well
@@TheParentalRevolution it's cool the S18 rides nice. I meant to compare the ranges of both. I hear the S18 leaves more to be desired when it comes to range.
@@jamesordwayultralightpilot Exactly. But if they ever make a wheel with the handling of the S 18 and the range/reliability of the Inmotion V 11, I'll buy it for off road. For now I'm sticking to pavement and my good old V 11. Someone's gonna have to innovate pretty hard to pull me away from my V 11
Hey man, welcome back. You are the one I look up to the most as far as video production and story building in the euc community. The color grading during Tishawn's ride was incredible. As far as the s20 is concerned I'm totally in love with it and can't wait to spend more time on it. It's inspiring and feels like it's even more from the future than other eucs. 🤙
Great video! Your production quality is always top notch. The S20 design, KS quality, cut off lever and great suspension system are what draws me to this wheel. The max speed of 45 mph far exceeds my usual riding style so that is a plus too. Range and plastic crash zones are a big NO for a $3,500 wheel. I will do a wait and see approach for now. It’s great to see Tishawne being one with the wheel again.
Great review. 126v with a small capacity means it's a high speed oriented wheel. Not a torque wheel. For torque you don't need voltage as much as you need CURRENT which this wheel has no more of than an RS19 for example. Kingsong might also limit current in software to protect itself. Gotway/Begode does less of that and as such should outperform the s20 in acceleration/braking.
As batteries go you need to up the voltage by 100% to get 50% more power. I'm not completely sure of the accuracy but it's close. 26v added to the baseline 100v we're used to doesn't add very much noticeable difference.
Inspiring video! I'll add this to the list of videos I share with people on the fence with getting into riding. It's all about being smooth and having fun. S20 is a wheel that can potentially catapult riding into the mainstream, even with the anime like aesthetic.
Have to agree with others, the cinematic quality of your videos is absolutely next level. I just love watching the footage. Guessing you would say Sherman Max over the S20 for someone who primary rides streets which are not too terrible? This would be a 3rd wheel, but my first 20 inch size. Does the suspension help take the edge off your knees for the occasional pothole/expansion joint?
@@evXNYC Thanks for that! Would you mind comparing the Sherman’s knobby tire to the one on the S20? Heard some guys suggest the S20 tire rolls off too abruptly on the sides…?
Damn that's one sexy wheel S20. Way too expensive for my pocket though. One things for sure is this one is gonna turn a lot more heads on the streets than other EUC's before.
Heavy old tall learner here; just now got OK to barely do a couple miles on an IM v5f, but already clear I'm needing more. Any reason I can't jump straight up to the s20, even though I'll stay slow and minimal for several more months? Many thanks
Great review! I definitely want to add a suspension wheel to join my EX.N HS and MTen3. I sold my 100V Nikola to make room for another wheel. I want to see how the Master is when it releases. The Master looks like an urban, high performance suspension wheel.
Once you go suspension you never go back. Or at least I didn’t anyway. Recently I went on a group ride where I got a chance to test out this Kingsong S 20, the Begode hero and the Kingsong S 18…… For street riding you can’t beat the V 11.
@@evXNYC , I guess the EUC is to new, given time politicians may victimize the citizens again, I hope not. Everyone be a considerate rider, don’t give them fuel to curtail the fun.
Great video EvX, but I'd love to know what kind of range you were getting with normal everyday riding (not riding slow on purpose to get as much range as possible)?
Oil chamber I think :-) Quality video as usual, good review. 126V needs high voltage MOSFET's. Higher voltage MOSFET's will potentially get hotter for a given current, current drawn can be potentially higher. Higher voltage can mean higher spikes (overheat, overcurrent, dV/dt, all well known MOSFET failure modes). You have to build your control board accordingly - not saying they didn't. For me suspension wheels are the way forward. The S20 looks the best so far. For me it would be a road wheel, at 63 my knees need the suspension, I have the S18 and love it, but faster and better sounds attractive.
@@rbtectur "Good for your knees" - A World of difference between riding wheels with, vs without, suspension. The difference between my S18 and my 16X tells me that. The 16X is still an excellent wheel though. If you are referring to acceleration tests, I'm not likely to be doing that :-) Low speed cut outs sounds bad, but the strain on the control board accelerating hard from a standstill is very high. These guys are doing the stuff I skip in deference to my skin, they are testing the limits, a buffer zone if you like to what I would be prepared to do. (They are all crazy by the why, especially those in NY)... just kidding we love you really.
@@Roskellan yes, I understand. But you're talking about the difference between the S18 and the 16x. But I was talking about the differences between the S18 and the s20. Evx talks about it, specifically. That's why I said to watch the vid again. Between those two you referred, I agree.
That's the way I look at it even at 49, if there's a suspension wheel I got to have it. While I'm sure it is awesome , I can't see spending $3,800 on a damn near 90 lb Sherman Max with no suspension. My 16x has been good to me for my riding Style, never cut out, but I respect the beeps and warnings especially at speed as I know that that is King songs version of telling me that I'm on the edge of overpowering the wheel. From what i see riding the s20 around the 25 mph mark you should be able to get 50-ish miles out of it I bet. I think the ones that are only getting 30 miles range out of this are riding 40 mph+ . Even with a knobby Tire in cold weather I'm still getting darn near 30 miles out of my 16x
@@noelleonard2498 yes. That's the reality in your world real life case scenario, where you can find a good spot within the range you need. However, there are situations, specially in the USA, where riders are used to travel long distances and need the range. Weight is mainly distributed by 2 reasons: batteries (for range), or suspension (for confort or off road capabilities). Both are responsible for the weight increase. The example you referred, the sherman, is all about range. There are many batteries, so there's weight. In case of the s20 as in the Master, the weight is about the same as the sherman because of the structure of the wheel, that has a suspension system to it. That adds weight. However, if you look to the batteries, they are about the 2200 to 2400 mah (on the examples given above). The only long range wheel with suspension is the ex2s, that keeps the over 3000 mah batteries while having suspension. I don't know the weight of that wheel, but I think it's a lot....
Hmmm Mosfets … I bought a V12 from your pals/collaborators at Inmotion after your much hyped v12 reviews - did not work out too well for me 🥺 - glad that you now pay attention to the MOSFET issue 😤
If people want to talk about Mosfets tell us what you know, "I'm this engineer and I do work at building circutries or w/e" no word to mouth that it's a Mosfets problem. I don't know any euc youtuber that knows really something about what's going on when they use the term mosfets besides Marty but I haven't seen him talking about that. Besides that the video looked great
I was so excited for this wheel. It looks absolutely amazing, but it has so many issues. The flimsy plastic, the lights not durable, the seats velcro glue, the kill switch moves too easily, the screens just too far back, the kickstand is cheap plastic and the breaking is just too slow. It could have been an amazing wheel.
For a pre production working prototype, still think the final S20 that reaches the market could be improved. I care way more about the breaking distance than acceleration at this point, is the one thing that could save your life.
@@evXNYC yeah no joke, cabbies alone drive like they own the road. But these EUC should have a brake disk for speeds above 30mph to reduce the stopping distance and then just go full regen, that's what electric cars do and seems to work. Also the tech already exists and shouldn't be hard to implement.
I was so hyped on this wheel until I heard your comments. Why do you have to be so honest? Now I’m gonna have to hold off on my preorder until they fixed the mosfet issue. This is gonna be the last wheel I’m gonna purchase and I want it to be close to perfect as much as possible because these things are not cheap. Kingsong should come up with a high torque version and a long range version so you don’t have to put that extra plastic on the pads if the battery is bigger. I understand they put a smaller battery so people can jump high on it which is hilarious because I thought this company is about safety and they want people to be jumping? If they are really listening to riders they should know that riders prefer longer range and only a few extreme riders use EUC for jumping.

Many thanks
None other than the production has now been delayed due to the virus in China
How long are the cranks?
Any chance you’re going to do the water-cup-taped-to-hand suspension test?
Great vid dude!
Hey. Good video!!! Awesome knee quards. How it? Do u like it?
Great review bro, looks like an interesting wheel. Stay safe bro.
Thanks Clyde!
Amazing! You’re riding through Manhattan in an electric unicycle , EUC. I’m jazzed! Did the police ever give you any problems?
Nah the police don’t care about us.
I listed the realistic range at the start. That’s what i was getting
that handle part was funny asf😂😂😂
13:29. Best shot!
Great video bruh!
Thx
Woohoo Mikey’s review ! Finally… lol
Don't think the s20 is good for your knees. Watch the video again....
Dope video
Hmmm Mosfets … I bought a V12 from your pals/collaborators at Inmotion after your much hyped v12 reviews - did not work out too well for me 🥺 - glad that you now pay attention to the MOSFET issue 😤
Sadly “mosfet-gate” was terrible. But thankfully batch 3 will be fixed. V12 is still a wheel i use 3 days a week!!
@@evXNYC Thanks for response - I do love your vids and appreciate your commitment to EUC community
This was fire 🔥
Miss you man!!
@@evXNYC miss u 2 man ill be back on the scene soon
I always focus on braking distance. It’s life or death here in NYC.
Tiashawn great to see u please helmet..
Really looking forward to a lighter, second-gen S18!
air chamber or oil chamber?
Air
Oil, these content creators need to stop pulling false information out of their asses
Lit video, literally 🔥
Great video.
Good job... for me .. I wont be buying this wheel but it is the best designed wheel lookswise, on the market.
I love it buddy!!
Thx bud!!
If anything, it’s under engineered and over designed. If they get the multiple design and engineering problems fixed they’ll have an awesome wheel.
a7-IV? excellent lowlight shooting
I freakin wish! This is only my lowly A7R2. But i really want like the a7s3.
@@evXNYC I can't believe. It's so sharp in slowmotion. Looks very good. Agree. A7s3 is a great wishing.
